[You shouldn't feel bad at all! I didn't give much to work with. Don't feel so bad!!! =^^=]

Remi grinned excitedly, "Awesome! I'll have the car then. Let's see...." he paused, thinking for a moment as he took another piece of his chicken strip. His eyes lit up again, and he looked at her, "I'll pick you up at nine. That should give me some time for my parents to go to bed and fall asleep, and my brother to get so tired from work he won't care about a thing." he nodded at the plan, as excited as ever now. He couldn't believe he was about to put her in so much risks of trouble, when her parents seemed so sheltered about her. For a moment, he felt kind of bad; bu in the next, it felt so exciting. For once in a long time, he felt like he could be truly free; sneaking out, without all of his foolish friends, and just going to have a good time instead of trying to find some girl he was going to hurt anyway. It all sounded so perfect!

"So..." he began again, with a cruious look, "Where do you want me to pick you up?" he only asked because she said she may not go home; techincally, if had the choice, he wouldn't go home either. But at least he could get to stall today, taking her over to the smoothie place. They'd only have to spend a few at home before they would head out. Which is just enough time to plot, look nice, and all the rest. He grinned at the thought, and almost laughed to himself. But she might ask why on that one, so he kept his mouth shut.

Suddenly, people started to clear out of the lunch, and he realized the bell was beginning to toll for the next class. Ge groaned; how did time fly so quickly? had the minutes already past, sitting here and talking to her? It seemed unfair this time. Not only because he had to go to class, but because he still wanted to talk more, to get to know her more. He shook his head with a sigh, as somethign else struck his mind. he looked at Lexie again blankly, "Wait, I have classes all day. Are you sure you want to wait for me to take you? I mean, since you get out early." He didn't want to keep her here, at school, just because of him. Now that sounded like torture.

Not paying attention, I see, Fae thought wryly when Sariel had to ask "whose eyes?" So what are you paying attention to? To the question, though, Fae just gave a rolling shrug and a small smile. Had he minded, he probably wouldn't have had to ask. Besides that, though, Fae just didn't like to have to explain things. It was why he'd never made a very good tutor.

It was rather curious, the way this older boy acted. It was as though he was trying to contain... something. Himself? Another facet of himself, more like. The way his eyes changed, just from one to the other and one a feral yellow, hinted at something like that to Fae. After all, the dark-haired boy was no burnout. And the small snarl that Sariel sent Fae's way when he was yanked off the street...

No, I don't believe you to be fully human, Fae thought, though he was still unsure of just what or how. Fae shook his head at Sariel's apology. "I don't blame you. Most would have... snapped at me," the dark-haired boy replied congenially, peeking out of the alleyway before moving to walk down the street again. The way he said "snapped", though, implied that he would have liked to put another word in its place. Sariel's small sigh didn't escape him either. The other really was lost in his own thoughts, wasn't he?

Fae looked upwards. Maybe he should just have stayed alone. But no... this was at least more interesting than most of the people around here, and Sariel seemed to have a problem similar to Fae's. His instincts were seldom wrong about these things, but there was a first for everything. Fae resolved simply to see how things went for now. "We're here," Fae said suddenly, turning to walk into a pleasant-looking burger joint. He slid into one of the booths out of sight from the door as though it was the most natural thing in the world, then laced his fingers and lay his chin on them. "Burgers an okay substitute for lambs?" Fae asked with a mischievous gleam in his eye.

Lexie smiled and nodded as he mentioned picking her up at nine. She probably wouldn't eat after getting the smoothie, since they always gave her enough energy, and that gave her just the right amount of time to push through her homework. Of course, she'd be messing with her make-up or hair, picking up her room, messing with the stereo, flipping through her closet for the perfect outfit. Yea. Homework would take her about five hours. She laughed at the thought, then snapped back to reality as Remi asked his next question.

"Well I would say my house...but my parents might get suspicious." She thought for a moment, only to shake her head at the next suggestion as well. After yet another moment of thinking, she finally nodded. "Well the park is about a block down from my house. How about I walk over and you meet me there?"

As the bell started to ring she let out an annoyed sigh, but then turned back to Remi. "It's fine. I need to check out the school library anyway. It may not seem like it from the way I look but I love to read. It's what I do when I'm not at home...which is always." She laughed again and stood, shouldering her purse and grabbing her books. "I'll see you later ok? Who knows, maybe you could even drop by the library." She smirked. She knew all the tricks, how to get out of class and skip and all of that. She was a Senior too after all. "Bye, Remi!" With those words and a flip of her hair, she turned and headed toward the English wing.

Charlie sighed gently as she heard the ringing of the bell once more. She slowly raised from her seat, watching the rest of the lunchroom pile out to get to their next class on time. She looked around at the now empty room. She tossed her milk container away and started walking towards the double doors, her heels echoing through the vacant surroundings. She passed through the doors and looked at her schedule. "Hmmm..English...great..." She sighed once more. She didn't like the idea of a public school already. It wanst home to her.

She walked down the hallways. She had heard a group of girls talking ahead of her about an English class they were all going to be in together, so Charlie decided it would be good to follow so that she would make it to class on time. She moved her books to her chest and gently cradled them there, looking down at the ground as she walked, but also paying attention to where the group of "wolves",as she liked to compare them to, headed towards their destination. That's what highschool was to her. Just a jungle of creatures. It seemed to her that no girl ever went anywhere alone. That's where the pack idea came into play. She didn't quite understand their behavior but went with it anyway.

She slowly turned the corner and made it to the room. It was at the end of a long hallway, and to Charlie, it seemed to be a dungeon that she couldn't escape from. She slowly entered the room and looked around at the staring faces. She heard whispers. "Is that the new girl?"..."yeah...she's weird..she doesn't talk...they say her parents were mimes..." She sighed at all the comments and took her seat towards the middle of the class. Sitting in the front, you'd be labeled as the "teacher's pet" as they called it, and too far back, you'd be the "desterbed anit-social kid." and she didn't want that either, so she figured in the middle of everything was good for now.

It was meant as a joke yet clearly his humor was once again overlooked. His eyes would remain dark for a while, hinting at lazy cinnamon-esque shading every once in a few minutes. He was jealous of Fae, the boy making it seem more then easy to control his eyes, more then easy to control the things he felt; hell even his scent was light and sweet. The creature before him was amazing, and it was harder then ever to keep him-self locked away like this; even though it was worth it. A sudden flash of anger shot through Sariel’s eyes at the moment, as if he could hear the other boy’s thoughts, hear the accusation of being other then human; perhaps on one plane of existence it might have been true.

The moment passed after a simple second and an insatiable curiosity began to fill him. “You say ‘snapped’ like you’re accusing me of something. A gentle smirk lit his features and a small laugh working its way from down in his gut. It would be terrible if he had to arrange another quick disappearance, especially if it were for somebody as - excuse the phrase - Delicious looking as Fae. Sariel continued to walk by his side, and as he announced their arrival he nodded and smiled, walking into the place with a low whistle. He paused for a moment at the door before he slid into the booth containing Fae, his eyes looking around the place as he were really amazed.

He watched as Fae perched his chin on his fingers, an action that always seemed childish to him, however it seemed to suit the boy. “Burgers are a fine substitute…” He laughed lightly as he slid his bag from his shoulder and seemed to sprawl out, his relatively small frame filling his side of the booth with ease. After a moment his slender fingers plucked a blank book from the bag along with a pencil, his eyes now looking expectantly at Fae; as if he were waiting for permission.

[HOMG, I'm so sorry for the late reply. I didn't think you had replied, so I came and check, and you did, three days ago! >.< I'm soooo sorry! And no, I don't think it's too big. ^^]

"That sounds great!" Remi grinned, as he watched her leave. He stared ahead blankly then, as he picked up his back while shaking his head now. I'm going to have to stop by the library. I mean, to know where she lives. It's not a big place---should be easy. He sighed, as he slung his backpack over his shoulder. And jumped, because there were now two people before him, with their arms crossed and glaring. It was Jonz and Chris again, glaring at him. Remi only knew why; he had been sitting with the new girl at lunch instead of hanging out with them. They were probably pretty ticked off. "Um.. hey guys?" Remi added with a curious look.

"Rem, you need to get your act together. What's with you today? You never hang out with one girl for so long! Even we know that one!" Jonz flicked his hair as two girls walked by, keeping his voice a low whisper, if harsh sounding. He leaned closer then, and when Remi tried to step back, he grabbed his shirt collar.

"Watch it!" Remi hissed angrily.

"No you watch it, Remi." Jonz growled angrily. A group of people clearing out from a nearby table were pointing over to them. One guy even called out "Fight!" and Remi only hoped the janitor, or kitchen people, wouldn't get the wrong impression. He stood his ground though, and jerked away from Jonz. Jonz sighed, still glaring. "Remi, why are you hanging out with a new girl? She's not even pretty!" Chris laughed at that one, and Jonz grinned in response.

"How would you know? The only girls you like are the ones you can get in bed with. Those ones aren't very pretty to the world, either." Remi scoffed angrily, pushing past Jonz and quickly striding out of the lunchroom. Jonz and Chris quickly turned around to look at him; Remi got a quick glance of them as he turned around the all. And Jonz? he looked pretty angry. But if he got in a fight on the first day of school, his parents wouldn't let him hang out anywhere. Which was Jonz' favorite thing to do.

With a sigh, he quickly went to his next class.

Fae cocked his head to the side a little bit, a wry smile playing on his lips. "Maybe I am," he retorted, almost infuriatingly vague but with a tone too light to be completely serious. Fae was loving this, this having someone to talk to and joke with. I wonder if he's as smart as I, or if he's just interesting, the dark-haired boy thought. Just interesting would be fine, and Fae didn't really expect to meet anyone else intellectually like him here. Crystala wasn't exactly a hot-spot for the brilliant.

Fae paused a couple steps ahead of Sariel after they entered the restaurant, wondering just why the other had stopped. At Sariel's low whistle, Fae chuckled. "I hope my town's not that much of a spectacle," the younger of the two said wryly. The town could seem a little over-the-top at times, it was true, and this diner seemed to be rather 60's over-the-top. All red and white checkering and linoleum, complete with an old juke box. It was a bit of a time-warp and a little too theme-y for Fae's tastes, but damned if they didn't make a good stack of waffles or burger.

"Glad to hear," Fae said with a lazy grace and a smile. He watched curiously as Sariel filled the entire side of the booth, as though he'd simply expanded into the space. Guess it's good there's no one else along, then, Fae thought, amused by his acquaintance's habits. The dark-haired boy raised a delicate eyebrow when Sariel pulled out the paper and pencil. An artist? he wondered, his eyes meeting Sariel's own questioning ones for but a moment before nodding his acquiescence. Fae didn't mind if Sariel drew him. It would be interesting to see what he came up with.

((Sorry for the delay! I'll try not to let it happen again : P ))
PostPosted: Thu Aug 30, 2007 3:47 pm

“It is a spectacle indeed…” Sariel murmured as he began to draw, drawing rough lines here and there as he studied the boy in front of him. It was only a few moments before he moved his pad of paper from his table and into his lap; shielding the outline and everything he had drawn so far from view. With a small yawn he glanced at Fae a warm glimmer of childish delight hidden in his warm amber eyes, this was something he would surely enjoy.

Every time Sariel looked up he saw something different, Fae’s eyes seeming to play tricks on him as he traced the outline of the iris. Somehow it always ended up a bit narrowed, somehow cat like in appearance. No matter the reason, the change on paper suited the boy; made him look darker then he seemed… making him seem normal in the eyes of the wolf. With a small-exasperated sigh Sariel tilted the paper towards Fae, giving him a glimpse of the small picture that was etched finely upon the page. “Were I a better artist I am sure you would have more detailed features… Your eyes really are amazing.”

With these few words he tore the piece of paper from his book and handed it to Fae, his eyes shimmering slightly with a melancholy gleam; it was betrayal, the sad thought that somebody might be like him. Without another word he picked up the menu and began to look at it’s contents, his brain automatically deciding on the biggest burger the place had to offer. “What do you think? I know it’s rather sketchy when it comes to the eyes but I did try…” He smirked lightly and looked the boy over once more, the creatures appearance reminding him of the smell of spring.
((Atleast you are worth waiting for...))

"I love living in a tourist attraction," Fae murmured sarcastically before completely stilling himself to allow for Sariel's portrait of him. The dark-haired boy caught his eye, and Fae had to smile inside. It looks like he really likes drawing, he thought, having noticed the warm gleam in the other's eye. Fae shuffled that tidbit away, more out of habit than anything else. He rarely forgot things about people, and he didn't plan on starting now.

Oh, not going to let me watch? Fae thought when Sariel pulled the pad of paper back. Still, he did his part and stayed still. Trying to draw someone who was squirming was infinitely frustrating. Fae could remember trying his hand at this with his older brother. Lonan had been a terrible choice of subject, for the older boy couldn't sit still. It had made Fae give up on realistic drawing rather quickly.

"I assure you, you've done better than I could," Fae said by way of reply, reaching out to take the piece of paper. It was very finely done, yes, but the thing that Fae noticed first was the way Sariel had represented his eyes. A slow smile spread across his face, and he turned the paper back to Sariel. Fae pointed to the eyes with a finger from the hand holding the page. "You did them perfectly. Thank you for noticing," the dark-haired boy said happily, a hint of a pleased purr in his voice.

With that, Fae grabbed his own menu. It was more for show than anything else as Fae frequented this place. He was going to get a stack of blueberry waffles. It was a dish they stopped serving after noon, so Fae didn't get to eat them unless he skipped school for it - as he was doing today. He put down his menu fairly quickly, the charade done with. He rested his chin in a hand, watching Sariel as he ordered. Bet it's a burger, he thought lazily. A waitress appeared, almost as if summoned by his bet.

"What can I get for you?" she asked, all smiles and bubbles. It was exactly the kind of person this town was full of, and exactly the kind of person Fae found excessively tiring. He sighed, then looked flatly up at her. "Stack of blueberry waffles, no whip cream, and a black coffee," he rattled off simply. The woman just smiled at him; Fae looked away darkly. Do they all have to look like they live in sitcoms? he thought, irritated. Fae's eyes flicked over to Sariel. At least there's someone here who doesn't...
PostPosted: Mon Sep 03, 2007 4:25 pm

Sariel could not help the smile that now rose upon his lips, his eyes closing for a moment as he tried to contain his emotion; it would not help anything if there was a pink hue to his cheeks. “Perfectly? A bit too cat like in my own opinion, however they do seem to match you all to pleasantly…” Sariel watched as Fae brusquely plucked the menu from the table, a look of false dedication seeming to replace the smooth features of the boys face. The irritation seemed to grow when the somewhat middle-aged waitress came from behind the front counter, her smile seeming to make both Sariel and Fae glare slightly.

“Rare steak and eggs, green chili, and hash browns… Three pieces of toast and a glass of milk….” Sariel followed Fae’s simple lead and watched as the somewhat stunned woman walked away, her hips shaking more then they should in a uniform like that. With a small sigh he mimicked Fae again, mirroring him as he placed his head in the opposite hand. “Do you have something against whipped cream?” Sariel asked the boy softly, his tone bored and somehow hungry at the same time. “And black coffee? Sounds much to normal for a creature like you, surely this is some kind of game…” He smirked as he awaited the boys response, a small shiver of delight running down his spine as the waitress walked past them again; the tray in her hands proudly holding a stack of rare meat.

LIVE like you'll die TOMORROW

[[Sorry for being gone so long. My mind's been caught up in so many things that I just...I haven't been able to think straight lately. Also, I gotta go to bed but I'll add more later if no one responds.]]

Lexie plopped down in a chair at the back of the room. She loved English, but she pretty much wanted to stay out of sight. She was normally very outgoing but she felt she should let what happened die down before trying again. It was only the first day after all. She was sure she'd find more friends later in the year. She sighed as the teacher began his little speech. Told his name, the plans for the year, supplies...it was just the typical stuff. She yawned and pulled out her favorite notebook.

It was a continuation of something her hand her best friend had started in the fifth grade. Back then they would each take it for a day and just write back and fourth to each other. Now it would have to be a week. They swore to always see each other over the weekend. So now they both had a notebook. They would take one for the week, then switch them over the weekend. It was a pretty good system but it defiantly made her lonely. There was no doubt about that. She was OK though, as long as she got to see the girl from time to time. She shrugged and started doodling on notebook, making random designs and squiggles. She turned her head after a while and stared out the window, waiting for someone else to talk to her. Even if it was only to laugh about what happened. She would laugh too, in truth.

She never liked anyone to make fun of her...so her way of getting rid of them was to laugh with them. It showed that she wasn't afraid of the way she was. She was proud to be herself. She was proud of her attitude, as well as the sensitive side that came out very rarely. Once people got that in their heads, everyone gave her respect. No one really had to like her, but as long as she had respect she was fine with that.

((Oh s**t! I didn't think it was my turn! Why, I don't know, but damn I'm sorry!))

Nice smile, Fae thought, dropping his chin a little bit as he looked at the other boy. It almost looked like he wanted to blush, and over no more than a simple compliment. Cute, the dark-haired highschooler concluded. "Cat-like is perfect," Fae remarked with a quiet smile. He'd always had a thing for cats, just as his brother had always had a thing for dogs. That someone had noticed it without realising it pleased Fae, pure and simple. The boy was proud of who he was, after all, even if many people seemed to find cats girly. Fae could quickly and easily change such minds, and he had in the past.

It interested Fae to note that Sariel seemed about as fond of the 50's-type waitress as he was. It also interested him to note that he had lost his personal bet - he made a sound halfway between a sigh and a laugh, letting it out through a small smile. Steak so early in the morning... Should have figured, Fae thought, his now-grey eyes flicking towards Sariel. "I don't like things when they're too sweet," he stated, his small smile growing incrementally. A creature, huh? the boy thought, amused. Fae chuckled.

"I suppose I'll just have to work on being strange enough for you," Fae said loftily. He was just kidding around though, as there was no chance in hell of him changing who he was for anyone. He winked, then pointed towards Sariel's fork. "Can I borrow that for a moment?" Fae asked flatly. He had a habit of making new sorts of balancing arrangements using cutlery. Some of the math needed for it was very interesting, and it was always a good way to stretch his mechanical reasoning.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 14, 2007 4:12 pm

“Perfection is something I try to aim for…” Sariel laughed as he watched the waitress once again brush past them, a low carnal growl escaping him as his eyes went dark; it was far too early in the morning to be playing games with his food, far too early to be so slow. With a small shiver he wiped at his eyes lazily, shifting them back to a warm cresent blue, the color fo the clouds on a rainy day.

“Tell me one thing though?” Sariel asked the boy softly as he dropped his hands back to the booth under the table, his nails digging into the pleather with a satisfying ripping sound. “What constitutes as to sweet for you, there are a lot of things I think you might enjoy sweet….” He smirked as he lowered his gaze from the boy, his eyes glimmering now with a deviouse sheen. “And why on earth do you keep laughing at me?” He asked lightly as his hands reached across the table and withdrew his skechbook, the pencil in his hand jittering slightly as he began to shake.

“I think you are perfect the way you are Fae, a lovely name, captivating voice, and a smile that could bring the cows home,” He spoke, his tone something between a teasing purr and an advancing one. It had been a long time since Sariel had met anybody he had considered to be attractive, a long time since he had met anybody who’s company he could actually stand for more then a few moments at best. This ‘Fae’ creature was more delighting then anybody could imagin. “what do you want with my fork?” He asked finally catching the question, his curiousity growing by the moment. This boy was certainly more then he had first had been expecting, yet he was hoping that there wouldn’t be more to him then he could handle.

"Mmm?" Fae responded lightly, one ear twitching ever so slightly at the sound of nails on pleather. What's gotten into your bonnet, I wonder, the younger of the two thought, considering Sariel. The carnal growl that had escaped his just moments earlier hadn't gone unnoticed either. Perhaps hunger? Fae wondered before finally getting around to answering his breakfast guest.

"Cookies are borderline. I don't like chocolate chip ones. I don't like sugar in my coffee, or in my tea. ******** cake, and most other pastries with it..." Fae began, even the expletive flowing simply off of his tongue. As he spoke, though, his expression grew increasingly amused. "What did you have in mind? And as for why I keep laughing..." the dark-haired boy looked down with a small "heh", then met Sariel's eyes again, "cat's secret."

So it wasn't all that mysterious, maybe, but Fae rarely cared to get into little, unimportant details. Besides, he did have a small habit of not sharing why he ticked. It made it ever so much more interesting, in the end. And if he and Sariel continued to get along as well as they were... Well, then Fae was sure the other boy would be able to figure it out.

The onslaught of praise both pleased and surprised Fae. "Perfect," he repeated quietly, his mouth turning upwards at the corners. Well. That was an adjective he rarely heard applied to him. It was also rare he heard that advancing tone of voice in someone he would even bother to give the time of day to. All in all, an unusual morning.

Fae tapped his forefingers together at the tips together twice, thinking. "I don't think you know me well enough to call me "perfect" just yet. I suppose we'll just have to go out for meals until you do, and then you can decide," the dark-haired boy replied. His tone was tantalising, hinting at attraction but not giving it up yet. But hey, at least it wasn't a negative response. If anything it was positive, as it promised more time together.

"And I'll take that, thank you," Fae ended with, reaching one hand forward to grab the fork. He would tell Sariel through his actions. It certainly didn't take him too long to figure out what he was going to do and then do it. Perhaps 30 seconds each way. In the end, he'd used a toothpick to balance two forks, a knife and both spoons on the edge of the glass. The entire structure was quite precarious but very visually interesting. Fae pulled his hands away with a contented sigh.

"That was why," he replied absently, examining the structure from multiple angles now. Fae wondered what Sariel would think of it.
