Valar took several steps into the fog. Until his whole body was surrounded and he was hidden from sight. "Yes. This is where they bury their kind. Quite morbid wouldn't you think?"
The large stallion made his way slowly between the piles of rocks and effects. Making sure not to disturb them in anyway. He wasn't the superstitious of sorts, but he knew that one day, when he died. If he ever had a grave like this he wouldn't want it touched.

She tossed her head. "Morbid indeed. I should think if I ever died, I'd rather be left for the birds. Only fair that those I feed on should be allowed to feed on me. In a morbid, twisted way, it makes sense." she shrugged her shoulder again, sidestepping a gravestone. "Moreso than this. It's like a cage, just for when you die."

"Only a cage for the body, my dear. Only for the body." His figure loomed out from the thick fog to walk beside her for a moment. "Their spirits leave for other planes that most cannot see. Though some tend to wander lost amongst the land of the living. Wretched creatures. Body less, moaning as they float about in the deepest despair. Truly a fate worse than death. To find no peace."

She made a face, shaking her head. "Two legged ones are disgusting even in death. They don't taste good," she almost sounded mournful, "And now you tell me that destroying their bodies only makes some of them more of an irritant." she shuddered visibly, glancing around the graveyard with a glare.
A cage for the body, eh? She carefully sidestepped the mounds, and the stones.

The dark Kalona gave a small rumble of laughter before slipping back into the fog. Letting it consume his entire body as he made a circle around her. "They aren't that bad and most get dispelled by the two legger shaman. But...." Popping his head out of the fog so she could see him quickly he gave a large grin. Flashing those long, sharp teeth agian. "You never know where one could be lurking to pop out at you."

He disappeared, somehow, scent vanishing. What was he doing, and why? She was quite pleased that she didn't jump when he suddenly appeared again, though her pupils were large, and her body visibly tensed. She snapped her teeth at him in warning. "I suppose I don't." her voice was bland.
In general, the place was nice. A little cluttered with stones and deceased bodies, but that couldn't be helped.

His grin subsided as he moved to leave this dismal place. Most Kalona call it home, but he rather liked his own mountainous cave. "Shall we move on then? You don't seem too comfortable here." Valar noted towards the tenseness of her body before turning his head and heading back towards the path silently.

Observant little bugger. She followed him, moving quietly behind him. "Call me odd, perhaps; but it's a very dismal place, upon first sight. It's not discomfort, I suppose, as much as displeasure. The thought of having to avoid all those stones, day in and day out, in that fog?" she shook her head. "So where are we going next?"

"Hm. No, I wouldn't call you odd for thinking such a thing. It is a place of mourning." His spaded tail gave a few idle flicks back and forth as he finally set foot back onto the road. "And the fog isn't as always that thick. There must of been more moisture in the air around that area today than normal."
Turning his head, he glanced at her before heading in the direction they were going before hand. "Not sure. I guess we'll see as soon as we get there."

She followed him silently, avoiding his tail as she moved up closer so they were walking more side-by-side than her following behind him. That tail had been getting far too tempting. Just the urge to reach out and... BITE. Just a small nibble. And that would have been very, very bad.

After a few minutes of wandering down this path, the trees soon opened up to a large field. The grass grew high and had already started to brown on the tops. Nothing more than a sea of grass surrounded by a tree line.
He stopped for a second, just to see if anyone or anything happened to be inhabiting this field. It would of been nice if any lessor family with their little foals were about, but he sighed disdainfully as he did not spot any. "Fields like these are usually where parents like to bring their foals. Lucky for us, their foals make wonderful targets to pick off."

She looked out over the field, memorizing it for future reference. Lots of good pickings here, eh? And not just of the prey-animal kind. Excellent. Her head tilted, and she stomped a hoof against the dirt, licking her lips. Tsk'd. "They shouldn't be so careless with their children."

"Heh. Well, lessors are a bit to addle brained to think anything could just swoop down and carry their darling little foals off in the blink of an eye." Valar began to trudge through the high grass with ease. Leaving a faint trail of flattened grass behind him. "They think nothing in the world could harm their happy little moments together until it is too late. How sad." His eyes lidded as he recalled the times he had done such things. It was quite exhilarating and wonderful to watch those pitiful fools watch in horror as there was nothing they could do.
"It's better to go after the ones who's parents don't have wings. If you have the strength to carry the foal far enough within your jaws you have a lot of an advantage on your side." His tail gave a quick snap to the side, bending a small section of grass in half.

She laughed softly. "I don't think I am quite that strong yet. I could carry one off enough that it would certainly die if it was dropped." there was nothing malicious in her tone, merely a curious thoughtfulness. "But it certainly wouldn't make it so far that I could outrun a parent, most like. Though being able to take to air does give some small advantage in being able to move faster." Violet eyes took in the area thoughtfully. "I will remember this place for future games."

"All you need is a little practice. Then you'll be able to carry away those disgusting little foals in no time, I'm sure." Valar glanced back at her for a moment while he moved ahead.
A small river came into view not a few moments later. In which the stallion started to walk along it's banks. Small pillars of smoke rose into the sky from a distance. The Kawani village would soon come into view. Might as well show her that as well. Though he doubted she would spend much time there, it was always quite comical to cause a bit of chaos amongst those two leggers.
So why not know where they were centrally located?
