Ghost threw his head up and shook his mane when she nipped him. "Well I wasn't going to let you." he told her, smiling. He followe her gaze to the herd and sighed. "They didn't look for you? They should be more responsible than that, letting a good mare like you be left alone for that long...did they move areas after you left, and you lost track of them?" Noticing the almost furious look in her eyes, he nuzzled her again. "Hey, now, calm down, they'll still take you back won't they?" he said trying to comfort her. He didn't really want her to leave, but if that's what she wanted, he wouldn't stop her. He too looked back at Freebird and Casper, as they both started to awaken.

"No they didn't even spare a glace or ask where I was going." Konoha had lived with the herd since her birth but the lead mare now did not like her because she had attracted the attention of the last stallion. When the stallion left the lead mare blamed her for it, after all he had left after her son had died. "They are to easy to track and never leave the same few areas. I don't know if I want to go back."

"They don't sound very supportive...why is that? Lead mare have a grudge or what?" Ghost asked her, listening with intrest. The sun was up over the mountainside now, but still not up enough to called risen.

*Casper loked towards the two others in his makeshift herd. He squinted at the rising sun and silently stood up, hunger did not bother him so he turned and walked a few soft stes away from his dam, he looked into the lightening woods behind him, having caught the sight of something shining and glittery. He bean to walk into the dimness but before he left he looked back to see the two still standing in the sunrise and his dam just awakening. He followed the glimmering soft light deeper into the woods, trees and grasses slowing him down, trying to take him back. But he slid out of each tight squeeze, his adventurous spirit taking him further.*

*Freebird began to stand minutes later, before the thought of anything, even Casper hit her. She stood and stretched out her legs and back before turning her attention towards anything else.*
...Where's Casper??

Ghost froze, he hadn't been paying attention. He whirled around. "He's gone??" Sure enough, the ittle colt was nowhere to be seen. Ghost's heart skipped a beat. He roared and bolted into the tree line. He settled into a collected canted, lifting his forelegs high of the ground. He used his keen senses of smell and hearing to try and locate him. "CASPER!?" he called out. There was no response. He caught scent of the little colt and cantered off in that direction, not bothering to see if the mares had followed.

Kipcha snorted, "I guess you could say she holds a grude. The last stallion of the herd left after his son died." One of her ears flicked to Casper when he stood, she didn't fully recognize that the foal had roamed off but rather thought that he had laid back down or was standing quietly and she should have know better. Looking back at Freebird she looked around the clearning before answering. "He must have wandered off. Not to long ago either and not too far. Come on he's this way." She snorted as Ghost ran off to hunt the colt down, she wouldn't have done that he could end up scareing the colt or completely looseing him. Turning and walking after Ghost she calmly followed the colt path without ever having to search for it. She caught signs of Ghost going this way and picked her pace up to a calm trott.

Ghost continued cantering toward the colt's scent. He finally caught up with the Casper, and found him holding a shiny white feather in his mouth. Ghost sighed, and shook his head. He got around the front side of the colt and began herding him back to the clearing. He then stopped suddenly. He turned his head slightly to the right to fing two big golden eyes staring at him with hatred. He stood next the colt and turned to face the lioness. He pinned his ears back and bared his teeth, daring her to rush him. She looked hesitant, apparently remebering how Ghost ahd fough her off with ease. Ghost shook his head and bolted forward a bit, stopping short, watching the lioness back up swiftly and hissing. He charged her, forcing her back, then turned and trotted back to Casper. He pushed him along and got him cantering, leadinh him back to the clearing. Casper seemed happy with his great find of a white feather. They reached the clearing and Ghost shoved Casper back at his mother. "He's alright. That lioness was stalking him, but I scared her off. He seems to be enjoying that white feather of his..." he said watching the colt play with it.

*What had he seen? Where did he get the oddly mystical feather? It couldent have come from any bird, it shined as if it had been dipped into the night sky, it shimmered and glowed like the stars above. But still it was subtle and innocent, like nothing more but the feather from some bird, some shy dove.

Freebird kept her thoughts to herself, acting no more suscpicious of where the feather came from than Kipcha or Ghost.*

Species: Unipeg
Name: Hushabye
Age: 19
Gender:Stallion
Personality: Hushabye is reserved, though a stallion he never wishes to challenge other stallions or steal mares. He spends most time alone, but when he finds company he leaves it the first chance he has at dissapearing without a trace. He is very gentlemanlike but also wild-spirited and young at heart

Image: Hushabye is not very tall but not very short, he has a very rich and dark iron grey coat with big dapples and spots raning from light grey to white to cream, his wings are fairly small but strong and let him gallop arfound in the air with ease without tripping him up or blocking his view. He has eyes as blue and bright as the clearest sea. His mane is purely black and his tail is perfectly white. He has four white socks with striped hooves and dashing, perfectly sharp and defined body. His face is angled and intellegant, with a look of curiosity and innocence.

*Hushabye peeked out of the forest, out of the stallion's urgency he had taken hiding, unsure of his safety, his last close call involving humans, after all. His glistening horn has caught the attention of the very adventurous young foal and having caught him, he left Casper with a feather. He caught the dam's suspicion and was aware his existance would soon be noted.*

Hearing Ghost find Casper and lead him back to the clearing, Kipcha turned and met them there. She looked at the feather with curiousity, something about it struck her funny. "The lioness won't stop her hunt for some time. She'll come after any who venture far from the herd." Her coat prickled and iched, she perked her ears and looked about, searching for something that wasn't quiet right. Scenting the air and finding nothing but the smell of horses she ignored the feeling and watched Casper play.

Ghost snorted, the feather Casper had in his mouthwas beautiful yet, for him, it brought a certain level of discomfort. He didn't pay much attention to it. "Hmhm...she was'nt very happy when I showed up, she seemed hesitant to attack. I didn't give her the chance, but your right, she'll be back soon....I don't think I'll let her live if she does..." The odd feeling in his stomach wouldn't leave. "Kipcha...do you feel like there's something more to that feather? It makes me a bit uncomfortable and I really can't say why..."

*Hushabye Stood in the shaded forest. He hoped they would not spot him but at the same time somewhat hoped they did. He went to turn back and find some of his favorite grasses to eat but as he did, he stepped on a brittle old branch. It had fallen off of a tree some months ago after a storm and was fairly big and after weathering the twigs had broken off of it. He stumbled a bit and the log rolled out of the forest, into the clearing. He backed up a bit but as he turned the log had also caught the attention of the cougar.

He backed towards the clearing, more afraid of the lion than being seen.*

"Yes something about that feather makes my skin ich." Kipcha's ears were scanning the area but autmoaticaly snapped to face the sound of the twig snapping. She instinctively took a step back from the log and watched as the strange animal backed towards them. Without a clue for what to do she simply stood there until the fimlar scent reached her nose, "She's back." Once more working on instenct she leaped in front of Casper, placeing him behind her and in front of Freebird. Stomping and snorting she drew the cougars attention to herself instead of the strange horse like creature. The lion leaped and she swung around to meet it with her hooves. She kicked out, striking the lion but not soon enough to avoid the animals claws tearing into her flanks and ripping a large blood gash in the left one.

*Freebird was startled, but even with the life-threataning lion tearing at Kipcha, she coulden't tear her eyes away from that mystical being. He was so perfect and beautiful, his wings so shimmery and mythical she realized thats where Casper's little feather came from.*

*Hushabye stood back from the outburst, he had never come against a lion before.*
