toxic valentine I'm like the only person i know who's NOT scared of it. XD Me and my friend usually play, and i make her walk around and if something happens she puts it on pause and makes me kill it. XD
Now, Fatal Frame scares the living piss outta me. o_o Ever played it? ♥
I'm a little pansy s**t when it comes to games like Silent Hill. D;
Fatal Frame? No, I have never heard of it before. :] Survival horror?

Yup yup. There's 3 of 'em. Basically, you go into these haunted places, and you get a camera that can see and hurt ghosts. It's like playing an Asian horror movie. It's uber scary.

Silent Hill only scared me when I was busy killing something and something else came up behind me and bitchslapped me.

I was initially scared by Rule of Rose, even though it's not he enimies that scare you, it's the storyline.

I've seen videos of Fatal Frame, but never quite liked the whole 'kill stuff with a camera' thing.

I haven't played Rule of Rose yet, but i keep meaning to. Thanks for reminding me! biggrin
Yeah, the camera is a bit off-the-wall, i'll admit. But hey, what else are you going to kill ghosts with? A sub-machine gun? Don't think so. Now you've got gun with a lot less ammo and a ghost with a lot more holes.
But what's so scary about FF it is that you get like zero warning. Just a little light at the bottom of the screen that may or may not mean you're about to get owned. You're just walking around, minding your own buisiness, and then poof! Crazy scary demon ghost b***h is crawling out of the kimono box trying to choke ya!
At least with Silent Hill you can hear the monsters coming.

I do like the Silent Hill 3 game. I haven't played it as of late because I have an internal struggle. I'm a Christian. Silent Hill 3 is a violent video game about a cult...

I swa the battle with the final-boss thing girl from Fatal Frame 2. It was pretty creepy.
O.o
In SH4 you don't get a warning when Walter is there.
He just kinda pops up wherever, pointing a gun or a chainsaw at teh Henry.
o.o
At least in all three of the games we're discussing, Silent Hill, Rule of ROse, and Fatal Frame, you actually get weapons.
In Haunting Ground, there is no such thing.

Yeah, and now i wish i remember where i saw that map that fits almost perfectly over the map of Silent Hill. It's a town in Maine, i think. It almost matches.

Silent Hill is suppose to be in Maine. xD I don't know why they put it in West Virginia for the movie.

I think you can change the way they move in the Options menu.
At least, you could in Silent Hill 2. You could change it from 3D to 2D. :]
