His fault? Pfft, as if lady flirt here had nothing to do with it. But that was something to debate later. Her straining body and heavy breathing, he couldn't tell if she was recovering or actually done. Some moments of calm passed, before his mate was full of tension once more. Terasu nuzzled the top of his chin against her hair, one paw resting atop her clenching ones. Soon, the tails swished once more to reveal an egg. This one caught the males attention as he pulled it close, the ouroboros a familiar symbol. Ah crap. x_x Three eggs so far; she couldn't have four. Could she? That was the most a kitsu could have...

Well that might be true.. but a moody female isn't likely to think entirely logicly. Besides, she had other things on her mind at the moment. She heaved a sigh as the third one was gathered with the other two eggs. Thinking that maybe, that might be all, and allowing her body to relax. Terasu's soothing comfort being a big help.
Charity lifted her head and looked to the trio of eggs. She was about to speak when her eyes flew wide open and her teeth clenched, a loud growl coming from her again. Claws dug into the wooden floor anew, leaving a fresh set of gouges next to the pervious ones. A few loud curses erupting from her throat between pants. However, with one final effort, the last egg made its appearance. A deep green that blended in well among her tails with the exception of the lighter cloud-like design.

Was...that all? The male pulled back an inch, his expression questioning. Who else would know better than the mother? They both glanced at the eggs, Charity's deep breathing filling the room. A smile was given to her, along with a lick above the brow. He too, made to speak, until his mate shuddered in another wave of effort. "Shh, almost done. Charity..." His paw gripped hers, and he hushed away her curses with small pecks of kisses. Green eyes peeked to the tails, barely seeing the final egg hiding in them. His maw turned up in pride. Four....four kits in one round. Damn he was good. X3

Once the final egg was out... Charity relaxed once more, knowing that it was finished. Her head fell on Terasu's chest once more. Never in her life had she felt so exhausted. Who knew that laying eggs could be such hard work? Four of them at that. Green tails curled about and laid atop the eggs in a protective manner.
She hadn't even realized that Atae had been watching the whole time, but she didn't really care. Wordlessly she nuzzled into Terasu's ruff and seemed to be dozing off.

Nips went to the tired femme's ear, before licking away the sweat on her brow. "You did great Charity, just relax now." He adjusted himself so he was leaning against the beanbag, Charity still at his ruff and him now able to see the eggs and whole room. Her breathing had gone back to normal, and he sat in a daze just looking at the eggs. Hmmm, they were parents now. What an odd feeling...
A blink brought him back to the present, and Terasu glanced at the door. "Atae, it's over now." Was she even still there? He wouldn't blame her from running in fright. x_x;

Atae opened the door a crack. "I'm here. Everything ok?" Seeing that things seemed calm, she widened the crack enough to let herself in and closed it all but a sliver once more behind her before padding over. She halted her approach a few feet away so as not to infringe on the couple's personal space. "So... how many?" She hadn't been able to see entirely what was going on, so she wasn't sure how many eggs had appeared.

A friendly grin was tossed to Atae, glad she hadn't disappeared. "Everything's fine now." He rested the side of his face against Charity, feeling drained himself. Though nowhere near as much as his mate did now. He shrugged his chin to the green tails, eggs just visible in their furry bedding. "Four of 'em." All quite unique too. Goodness, what kind of kits would crack their way out of them? His own tails flicked tiredly, but the grin remaining on his maw. "Heh, you're an aunty now, Atae."

Atae peered over at the eggs curiously. Wow... they were all lovely. And the green one looked vaguely like Setsumi with the cloudy swirls. Terasu's comment made her blink thoughtfully, and then she grinned. "So I am." Now that it was actually happening she found she was enjoying the thought.
A rumble from her tummy told her how much time had passed and her grin turned sheepish. "Ah... well, I hate to run... but you two like you could use some quiet and I probably ought to be getting back and make sure Bryna didn't decide to draw on the walls or something. And eat."

Ears turned forward and the low grumble, grinning to Atae. "Sounds like it's dinner time. Thanks for staying." His tails flicked to the belted kitsu happily, in a sort of wave. Perhaps she'd visit often, and if lucky, be there when they hatched. However long that would take.
A sigh left the new father, and he turned back to his mate. She deserved the rest after that episode. With a kiss to her maw, he leaned back on his side before he fell into slumber as well. Two pairs of tails wrapped protectively around the four eggs.
