Valens's dark eyes went wide and he let himself drop out of the tree and then crawled overto where his friend had landed, moving the branch that had fallen with the skunk, "Are you alright? Did your head break your fall?" He asked as he waved a hand in front of the skunk's face. He was certain not everyone had as hard of a head as he did which worried him a little.
Ellie's eyes went wide as the skunk boy fell out of the tree, "Oh... my." She breathed out, then winced when Valens abandon the tree by just falling out of it himself. Surely he could have just as easily climbed down? Less of a risk to himself... and what if he'd landed on his friend he would have squished the other boy. Shaking her head she moved a little closer to look her boy over closely, nothing looked broken though and he'd taken worse falls.

Fleur blinked blankly several times as the world swam around him. That...hurt. A lot. He was completely oblivious to Argent frantically running circles around him and pulling his skirt down so he would quit flashing everyone in the courtyard. The first thing he truly noticed and actually acknowledged was Valens' hand waving in front of his face.
Fleur lifted his head a little and blinked again at Valens before he squinted and muttered, "Twiddle his knob, somebody - he's out of focus..."
"I don't think anything's broken," Argent sighed with relief. "He's pretty vocal when he's really hurt. I think he's just dizzy."

Valens gave a bit of a grin at Fleur's comment taking it to mean that he was alright, just had taken a good thump to the head. The horse knew what those were like, "Heh, you just gotta give it a minute." He told the skunk boy and then looked around.
Spotting a bench the draft horse hopped up to his hooves and picked his friend up. Was it just him or did Fleur seem awfully light? Giving a shrug he walked over to set him on the bench rather then the ground.
Ellie gave a nod of her head, "Luckily blows to the head are something Valens is used to dealing with." She assured the other Silver, though seemed to stare at her boy strangely when he picked up his friend and carried Fleur off ala damsel in distress.

Fleur gave out an undignified squeak when he was picked up but stayed still otherwise, allowing Valens to carry him to the bench. For once, he was very glad he had such dark fur - only a hint of his blush was visible through the white V on his face.
The skunk sat up slowly and shook his head to try to dispel his dizziness, raising a hand to gingerly rub the sore spot left on his head. "Wow, that hurt," he stated uselessly. "What happened?"
Argent let out a relieved sigh when she saw her boy seemed to be okay save for some dizziness. Good - he had enough problems without a concussion screwing him up even more. "How do you handle him every day?" she asked. "The most trouble mine gets into at any one time is going to too many stores in a day and maxing out his credit card."

Valens perked up when he saw that Fleur was alright, even talking some, "Rubbing it helps." He said, sounding as if he were an expert before turned to look back over at the tree, "It looks like the branch broke. I'm sorry, I should have warned you to look out for the weaker branches." He felt a bit guilty since his friend had fallen and could have been hurt with more then just a bump to the head, "You alright?"
"With a lot of energy and the occasional n** here and there." She admitted. There were times after all when she would have to get Valens attention and he was to excited to want to pay attention, "Also times where I have to lead him along too." So he wouldn't get lost, so he would get places on time, and just to keep from getting distracted by shiny things.

Fleur nodded and gave Valens a smile as he rubbed his sore head. "I'm fine," he assured his friend. "I'll just be tender tomorrow. At least I learned something!" The skunk laughed and raised both hands to run his fingers through his hair and make sure it was free of grass and leaves before he stood up and smoothed out his skirt.
Argent watched the exchange quietly, noting how Fleur's smile was not nearly so forced when directed at Valens. He genuinely seemed to like the hyperactive horse's company. "At least they seem to get along," she finally admitted. "Fleur doesn't have many friends - his obsession with shopping and feminine taste in clothes tend to make sure of that."

Valens wondered what it was exactly that Fleur had learned, maybe that climbing trees could be dangerous? Or just to stay off of the smaller, weaker branches? To stay out of trees? Maybe something all together different that the horse had missed?
"I am glad that you are ok." He said, his long tail swishing.
"Valens should get more friends too, he seems only to hang out by himself or with girls. Maybe they will be good for each other." She suggested, it would give them both a new friend, give Valens someone that was good at shopping and finding clothes, and give Fleur someone masculine to balance out his femininity.
"Its to bad your Fleur isn't a girl, we could have betrothed them." Ellie joked.

Fleur smiled and dusted himself off once more. "I'm fine," he assured Valens again. "Where were we going to go shopping first?" He figured a change in subject was in order, and he looked forward very much to continuing the shopping spree they had planned before their donut break.
Argent agreed wholeheartedly. The two boy certainly did seem to balance out one another fairly well, and that was only after less than an hour of watching them interact. Besides, Argent knew Fleur was in desperate need of someone to be around other than herself and his two crazy adopted relatives.
Argent laughed at Ellie's last remark and responded, "Indeed. At least he looks enough like one?"
