He gave a nervous sigh to release tense muscles, and blew the air to Charity's ear to calm her as well. No need for tempers to lash about. A smile was given to his cautious mother. "Everything's fine mom. Charity and I are just....coming to a terms." And to assure his mother, a clear look was given with a nod of his head. He hoped she would understand, and not remark on unneeded facts of history. Though, he did leaned forward, eager with a question. "Have you seen Ed?"
The sneer didn't go unnoticed, but Setsumi refused to stir up unneeded conflict. She was quite surprised that there wasn't any shed blood, or at least cruel cursing. A surprised glance was given to her son, seeing him doing fine and even hushing out any attempts for arguments. She justhoped his friendly nature didn't hurt him in the long run. Ears leveled down at the mention of the blonde kitsu. "Yes, I met him just recently." A stern look was turned to Charity briefly. "He's...waiting for me, and you. Should you decide to come..."

Her ear flicked lightly as it was blown upon, but it seemed to have the desired affect. For Charity's muscles relaxed to a casual state once more, however, she watched Setsumi like a hawk... waiting for her to screw up and give her apt reason to lash out. Listening quietly to the discussion at hand.
The stare was given back to Setsumi, although she looked vaguely interested at the mention of Edward and traveling. A brow lifting slightly. Terasu was planning on going somewhere? With Edward and his mother too, apparently. Hm.

Oh, that's right. The whole traveling situation yet to be decided. So his mother had not changed her mind, and it seemed Ed needed time away as well. "I see..." He couldn't blame them, or bother changing their minds. So long as they had a safe way to handle their concerns, he wouldn't stand in the way. In his own mindset, he had already decided not to follow that route in life. He closed his eyes and smirked to Setsumi. "Well, tell Ed I said hello. And...that I wish him well." Terasu wasn't a traveler, and there was too much here for him to just walk from.
So, he had decided. The mother looked to the ground, thinking things through. Was it a wise choice, and should she have say in changing it? Even if an adult, he was still her son. "Terasu.." A faint shake of her head before glancing up and moving forward. She came to the opposite side of Charity, and nuzzled at Terasu's cheek. Of course all still with a wary eye, glazed sadly at the soon seperation. "Stay safe." And she backed away, turning and dissappearing towards HQ.

Charity wore one of her father's dumbfounded looks as she listened to and watched the goings on. So... Terasu wasn't going anywhere... okay, that's good. She would have thought that his mother would have protested quite heavily against Charity's mere presence.
Sitting back and keeping atleast some distance from Setsumi as she drew close to nuzzle Terasu, Charity watched her with little interest as she soon padded away. "Well.... that was painless." What a pity.
She looked up to the feathered male once more, brows lifted inquisitively.

The hidden expressions of his mother were felt in the nuzzle, and Terasu returned them just as strongly. He knew this is what she wanted; needed. But all his concerns and responsibilities were here. And he'd made promises to friends that guilt would not let him forget. He watched quiet and motionless as his mother left, not knowing when he'd meet her again.
Eyes clenched at Charity's words, and he finally pulled back, standing to move to the lakes edge. A clear reflection was given in the water, and Terasu sat with a frown. Paws swept at the calm lake to shatter the surface. "I suppose. Just another dissappointment for you."

Charity huffed indignantly as she watched him move away and swipe at the water. "I behaved myself, didn't I?" Although perhaps she didn't understand the full extent of the situation here, what with all the silent communication between mother and son. Getting to her paws and giving a flick of her tails, she stared at him for a long moment.
"If it bothers you so much, why not go with her?" she said with slight irritation in her voice. Well duh.. its obvious that he's discontent.

A grin formed and he turned to look at Charity passed gray hair. "Yeah you did. I'm surprised." Everything he had set in his mind to be wary of, was thankfully being avoided. Almost too smoothly. His worry for Atae, then his mother and Ed, had all been confronted and somewhat settled. He glanced back down to the water, just now realizing it was chilly to his paw. Heh, and he had pushed Charity in that? Whoops. His side tingled with the feeling of a stare, and he raised a brow to Charity. "Why not I go as well? Heh, this is my home in realm. I have too much of a good thing going here." He smirked in a way to rival Charity's. "You know, like being laid back."

"Only because she didn't say anything about my dad, this time." A shrug of her shoulders was given indifferently. She could behave herself.. as long as her buttons weren't pushed. His smirk was mirrored, and soon transformed into a sly grin as she drew closer. "Oh yeah? Even if it means... crossing lines?"
The sin's daughter pressing close to where she was practicly breathing down Terasu's neck. A coy n** given to his ear.

Pffft, let's not get started on that sin. Terasu already knew there was no chance in hell to cooperate with that kitsu, and he'd be a fool to try. A dead fool. But in the case of crude remarks, he'd leave that to his mother. No point in stopping that either. His tails moved between himself and Charity to rest on his side and paws. Whether it was an act of self-defense or self-comfort, he didn't know. A cross between a chuckle and a cough escaped his maw, knowing she'd take his words in that term. "That's.....a touchy topic." He ear flicked in insult at the nipping teeth. "Even so, your much like a green spark. How do I know I won't get burned?" Spark or not, that was his greatest fear, to bond with anyone and crumble in regret later.

Charity chuckled and then sat back upon her haunches, her smirk never fading. "You don't... but risk is a part of life. Its up to you whether or not to take a chance." Truthfully... Charity wasn't one to bother with those who were too cowardly not to take chances. She didn't think very highly of such kitsu... those were the goody goodys and the wimps who never went outside their comfort zones.

"True true." He couldn't stay in a comfort zone forever...
His ears flattened abruptly as his thoughts went on rewind. After all things said and done, he was merely trying to make a friendship. He laughed to himself. "Are we serious? Are you serious?" This was probably the most confusing thing he'd come across in his young life. "I mean...I did just kill you. And here we are cuddling?" No wonder his mother was so startled.

Amber eyes again glinted with amusement at his unsure questions. "Hm... well that depends doesn't it?" he grin widening. Charity leaned forward, transfixing Terasu with her best, alluring stare. Voice turned low and husky once more, "What is it you want, Terasu?"
Despite what happened.. Charity would have to admit that she liked Terasu. He was... rather nice to look at, and today she was testing his character. It didn't mean they had to make any decisions but well.. she was enjoying this playful romp.

He pouted and turned his eyes at her amusement. At least someone found the situation amusing. Terasu felt like he was sinking in deep water after a long swim. Ears tips flushed along with his face at her close flirtation. What did he want? Quite frankly, something strong that he didn't understand. Nor felt comfortable going into discussions about. "I want to find comfort. And what of yourself?"

She seemed to find amusement in a lot of situations... not a bad quality really... until it got to be annoying. Brows lifted at his reply, and Charity sat back again, studying him. "What is it that you need comfort for?" she asked, that flirty tone dropping for a moment and allowing genuine curiousity to settle in.
But her? What did she want? The green haired femme had to ponder that for a moment. "Something sincere" she then replied, and then turned her gaze away to stare at the woods with half lidded eyes.

Well, that wasn't something he had prepared to answer. And it didn't seem he could give half-a** answers with all her humor faded. "Well, comfort knowing I've settled in something secure." Isn't that what everyone wanted eventually, in the long run? "And comfort from myself."
A blink was given to the other, before he glanced down to his paws. "That's nice. But to find sincerity, you have to be sincere yourself." That's the only words of wisedom he could give on that. Eyes darted to the woods, smelling if anyone was near. Nothing. He tilted his head and peeked at Charity. "Tired?"
