"Well, let's at least get this meat covered by something, so it won't be pilfered and sleep." Sangre found a tree as she spoke and jumped up a few branches. In the tree was a little hole, just big enough to fit the meat in. She placed some stones inside, to keep the meat from the wood itself. Then she began to put the meat inside.
"It won't stay long in there, but at least it won't be on the ground." said Sangre as she filled it up. "Now, let sle-yawn-eep..." She curled up at the base of the tree, tail under her head. The fox was asleep before you could say "Modifox."

Akuma smiled and curled up. The white end of her tail rested her head. It was a pleasant night. She sighed and fell soundly asleep.

TIME LAPSE!!!! Oh no run!! xd Early the next morning, Sangre woke and stretched before checking on the meat. It was still there. "I'll remember to use trees in a pinch next time." She muttered, bringing it down. Shortly there after, she poked Akuma to wake her up.

At hearing the movement, Konane stuck his head out of a clump of leaves above her, looking down. "Morning, sunshine~!" he called with a laugh, grinning. ((Is Sol Lunarena, so no one panic >> <<))

Akuma's eyes were already anapped open. "I'm a light sleeper." She stood up and stretched out her back. "Now then, where we're going is just over there." She pointed to a cliff poking out of the forest like a landmark. "C'mon, you two. We don't have all day." She gripped the deer and dragged it to the location.

He nodded, grabbing part of the meat to help her. His ears perked up oddly, tilted at a bizarre angle so as to hear any coming intruders.

Akuma dropped the deer for a moment. She smelled another animal nearby, and it wasn't a modifox. It was a big predatory animal, probably a mountain lion. Perfect . . . She thought. An animal that she could take down easily unless it was a- "Bear!" She looked up at the grizzly bear and her jaw dropped. It was bigger than your average grizzly bear. It roared. She knew what it wanted but it wasn't going to get it without a fight. She snarled and lunged up at it.

He gave a deep growl as he heard the bear approach, putting down the part of the food he was holding, and running around the bear, giving deep-throated barks along the way. As the bear turned to look at him, it was caught by Akuma, and roared fiercely. Konane ducked down in the grass, circling around it and pouncing, biting down hard on its left ear.

Sangre's head snapped up and she stared at the bear. A snarl started in her throat and grew into a blood curltling growl. She barred her teeth and sprinted for him. The fox jumped and landed on his right shoulder. Her claws dug in and held her fast.
Sangre bit down on the flesh of his shoulder. The bear roared and started to thrash about. A clawed paw slammed into her back. Sangre yowled in pain but didn't let go.

Frenka had been silent to them and had just slipped away into the shadows. Bearing his teeth Frenka jumped to a tree and snarled as he jumped from a branch and landed straight onto the bears head. He claws fracticly as he growled loudly his eyes seemed to glow red-like as he almost looked like Akuma when she was demonic.

He tugged viciously at the bear's ear, shaking his head violently. At the same time, his back paws scrambled at the bear's back and neck as he held on, blood slowly beginning to spill onto his paws. As he slipped off, he tore the ear, leaving a huge gash in it, and splashing himself in blood. The bear gave a dark growl of pain and anger, turning to swipe at him.

Akuma crouched down, her eyes started to glow red. She let out a demonic snarl. She glared at the grizzly, staring at its ferocious eyes that still gleamed with a hint of fear. Four bloodthirsty modifoxes was more than in could handle. He snarl formed into a smirk that looked like it belonged to the devil. Her eyes still glowed that red color.
A sound was released from her mouth that sounded more like a roar than a growl as she jumped up onto the Bear's chest and snapped her jaws on his neck right on the point on which she foresaw to being the Bear's jugular vein. The bear roared in agony as she ground her teeth to get further into the flesh so that they actually reached the vital point. This bear was so fat! She growled and the bear continued roaring. She looked up into his eyes. It was plain and clear that this bear didn't want to die and was afraid.
She heard Sangre yowl in pain. She was a brave fox. Konane and Frenka were brave, too. This bear would indeed be a great prize.
In the background, Akuma noticed two little cubs, the bear's cubs. They looked frightened. Akuma felt a slight sense of guilt. But they had already assaulted the bear. If they retreated, the bear would surely go after them and kill them. Plus, Akuma's jaws reached the vein and had already sliced through it. Even if they did stop the attack, the bear wouldn't live much longer.
Two huge pairs of claws dug into the side of her body where her ribs were. She snarled but kept a firm hold on the bear. The Bear's claws had a good grip as well. They were trying to throw Akuma off.
The bear was wheezing its last breaths. Once it died, it would fall on top of Akuma, causing her fatal injuries. She tore away her muzzle from its neck, making a huge, gaping hole where blood flowed out like a waterfall. The bear roared and Akuma's claws released. The bear threw her. That bear was strong while it was alive. Akuma yelped as she was thrown back. Her right side hit a tree with a loud crash. She growled in pain. She head a few faint snaps. She had three broken ribs. "Great . . ." She muttered. She felt her ribs with her tail. Nothing big, they could be fixed overtime if she didn't move around too much. She got up on three legs and snarled. That bear also did the favor of breaking her right wrist. She glared at it.
The bear finally coughed up blood. It let out one last mighty roar as it fell forward and hit the floor with a loud thud, moving dust and dirt and leaving a fine imprint. Its black eyes remained open. It's jaw also hung open, baring its huge, threatening teeth. Its tongue rolled out and it was finally dead.
Akuma sighed, the red glow in her eyes finally subsiding. He, no, She put up a superior fight, but it was already certain. It couldn't match four bloodthirsty modifoxes. She smirked and limped over. She prodded it with her tail. No response. It was dead. She fell back on her hind legs and sat in front of it. Blood was still oozing out of its wounds. "Well, that finally over . . . Though it was fun." She laid on her right side and panted. Her ribs hurt and so did her paw. She knew what herbs to go get and she'd use that same technique that she taught Koana for her paw. She didn't know if she was fit to go get the herbs in her state. She'd be a vulnerable target.
Her eyes averted to the bear cubs. They were whimpering as they approached their dead mother. They'd probably sit there until they died themselves. Akuma let out a vicious snarl and glared at them. "Go on, get out of here!" She yelled at them, still baring her teeth. She got up painfully and snarled at them. "She's dead, don't you get it?! She's dead!!! Dead, dead, DEAD!!!!! And she's not coming back!!!" She was breathing heavily and still baring her teeth at them. One let out a little cry. They were old enough to forage for themselves and they probably knew how to hunt as well. This was probably another hunting or scavenging lesson. She snarled once again. "Go on! Live the rest of your lives!" She snarled and collapsed on her right side again.

Sangre was so into not being thrown off that she barely heard Akuma attack. Some how in the mist of the fox attacking, killing and the bear going down, Sangre ended up on the ground on her back. She figured she had been thrown off as the bear fell forward, but she couldn't tell. She was still surprised she was able to move. Normally, if you land on your back like she did, you're dead, no matter what.
She rolled over on her side, wincing as her back stung in pain. "Akuma! Leave the cubs alone! They'll understand just fine with out you screaming at them. Let them at least mourn..." Sangre panted, feeling blood drip off her sides from her back. "Would you like to be yelled at when your mother has just been killed?! No! So leave them alone!" The fox snarled at her, pain and a mix of simpathy and empathy fueling her rage.

"Doesn't look like it . . . " Akuma growled. She was in pain and feeling guilty at the same time. She was angry at herself. The cubs could lead a nice life if they left. She growled again and stood up, snarling in pain. She didn't make eye contact with Sangre. "The fox I thought was my mother died in front of me . . . Her last words were that she wasn't my real mother and when she was a few minutes from death, she did yell at me . . . I have a feeling that that hurts more . . . " Akuma spoke the words in a calm, solemn tone.
She sighed and looked back at the bear cubs. They were standing defensively at their mother's side, as if she was alive . . . just fainted. As if defending her dead body were bring her back to life. She let out another growl and threw the deer at them. "That should get you through a day or two . . . " She muttered. The bear cubs let out a few whines, picked up the deer, and left their mother. They seemed to understand. Akuma smiled a bit, but that faded in a second when she let out another growl of pain. Her paw and ribs weren't gonna allow her to run or hunt. She'd be able to walk painfully. She growled and laid on her right side.

Pantting Frenka looked at his sister, rage, anger, hate, and love, filled him. He seemed to feel like going on a rampage, a rampage to kill every fox. He stared in fear at the dead bear that lay before them, that at the cubs that ran off. His claws dug into the ground as he layed down, his eyes filled with the taint of anger that he couldn't surpress. Blood seemed to cover the black male, dying his fur fully red. A deep cut lay in his belly, a wound that may not heal easily.
Frenka felt like dieing right there, he felt like running away from these troubles, troubles of the past. Troubles like that were hard to heal, heck, they couldn't be healed. It was like a wound to the heart. He layed there almost like Akuma, his claws still dug into the soft soil that lay on the ground. What has happened to this world? Questions like that had filled him, questions that would never be answered for as long as he lived. Frenka knew Akuma felt the same way, but she had seemed to answer them on her own, he hadn't yet.
Standing alittle up Frenka looked at Akuma, Sangre, and Konane. They had all seemed to be wounded. Frenka knew he couldn't hide the anger that rage on in his present eyes. He sighed, shakeing his head and turned giving a cough, "I need... to leave.." He murmured, looking at his hurt sister. It hurted to turn your back on someone, but if he didn't, he would surely kill them.
He walked away now, his eyes still fireing with anger. He knew that Sheba had mentioned that Akatsu, Akuma's and his father, had had an anger almost the same. An anger that couldn't be burned down, an anger that couldn't be destoryed. It seemed his father's anger had been passed down to him and Akuma. Where it would grow into something monsterous... Frenka limped to other trees away from the others. Memories hit him like ice and a compulsive shudder lept through his body, and the wound that had gone so deep into his stomach, leaked blood once again, like a river, and Frenka hardly couldn't tell, but his head had fallen and his senses fell, everything became blurry...
