She smiled and giggled watching him eat with his finger. She then looked at his bandages. Right.. maybe that would make it weird to eat out of a big spoon. She dipped a finger in it and held it in front of his face. "Do you think it'd taste the same if you ate it off of my finger?"
She had a grin and an arched eyebrow. She avoided the what she ate question. Finally, she let slip out, "I don't really eat a lot besides ice cream.. but occassionally i'll have some swedish fish... occassionally... but, sometimes i have soda... or... gummy treats... I guess I need to expand my horizons, huh?"

"It's good," Twilight said, finally pulling his finger out of his mouth and sticking it back into the ice cream. "What kind is it? I've never had any before." Of course, that didn't stop him from having another taste. And then, when he was offered some from Ness's finger, he carefully licked it. It was good, but with an extra hint of something he couldn't quite place.
Scooping more with his fingers, Twilight sucked on his paw contentedly, talking between bites. "That's not so bad. Do you ever eat fruit? The sour peaches are good this time of year."

Ness laughed when he licked it off her finger the way he did. It tickled. "Um... I think this one is... a cookie dough?" She thought for a moment... "sour peaches huh? Never had that before. We should get some later."
Somewhere in the back of her mind, she asked herself why she was starting to say we and all that jazz. He probably wouldn't really stay the whole weekend. Noone ever stayed that long... well, sometimes they stayed a day or two... but most of it was spent sleeping and lounging around. Ness decided to see how long she could make it without giving into sleepy feelings.
She found herself just sitting there watching him eat. He was especially good company. Why was it that just today he was coming over anyways?

"Oh, cookies!" Twilight exclaimed. "Of course! My human brings us a lot of those. But those are usually crunchy, and these are soft!" That was an excuse, but inside Twilight was kicking himself for not tasting the connection earlier. Now that he knew, it was so obvious.
Taking another bite of ice cream, he leaned against Ness lightly. "That's some good stuff. You're a great hostess, you know that?"
A few more bites, and he would be back on his feet, and ready for whatever she threw at him next. At that point, he wouldn't be surprised if she had a circus in her attic!

Ness grinned feeling quite satisfied. With a chuckle, she looked at him. "Yeah. You keep feeding me all these compliments, and I might grow an ego or something."
She scooted over closer to him wrapping her tail around his waist. "If you really feel that impressed with me. Maybe you could convey that positive thinking into something else besides... just chitchat... oh and, by the way, you can call me Nessie if you want. some people do that who are close to me."

Winking back, Twilight twirled his less sticky paw around Ness's tail. "I only say the truth, you know. Not my fault what happens after that."
One last bite of ice cream, and he was ready to go. And so, it seemed, was Ness. Grinning, he pushed the container away, licked the last bits of dough off his paws, and nodded. "What did you have in mind then, Nessie? I'm up for just about anything." As he spoke, he stroked Ness's tail gently. "So... Nessie, lead the way!"

Ness gave a few shivers as nerves went up her back, and she got goosebumps in some areas. She bent her head to the side as she gathered her nerve to resist her normal reaction to this kind of petting. Of course, that was always fun for her; but she didn't bring him here to pamper her.
Ness stood there thinking as she slid the wiimote out of her wristband's pocket. She looked at it and back up at Twilight. "Do.. you like video games? We haven't done that yet... Because after that, I don't have anything else new for you to try. Most guests I have are here to pamper me, so I am not accustomed to having stuff to do for other people."
She twitched her wings a few times.

"You could have fooled me," Twilight said swiftly. He couldn't remember the last time he'd seen so many new things, or had such a great hostess. "As for video games, I've never played them before. But if you like them, I might too." They seemed to be on the same wavelength for most other things, at least.
Stretching- he'd been sitting still a while- Twilight all but bounced to his feet. Sitting wasn't bad, exactly, but generally moving was more fun. Still, he didn't mind relaxing for periods of time, as long as those periods were interspersed with lots of activity.
Once he felt ready, he sidled over to Ness, brushing up against her side. "What are we waiting for? Let's get this party started!"

Ness smiled genuinely. She did like to impress people; that was no secret. Twilight seemed to be impressed far beyond enough, and that was making her feel happy. Her tail slid over and wrapped around his as she put an arm around his back and started to walk him back into the "play house".
Inside there, she guided him towards the spiral stairs that went up onto the floor with bean bag chairs, a tv, and a few video game systems. Ness pressed the power button on her wiimote, and the wii answered the call. It lit up, and she went to turn some things on and fetch a wiimote for Twilight.
Ness smiled at him. "If this doesn't end up being your cup of tea, we can always go back to dancing. There are so many kinds of music.. and many kinds of dancing to do. and I could dance my life away pretty much.."

Completely relaxed, Twilight didn't even blink when Ness started to guide him upstairs. He did, however, take her paw in his and licked off a lingering bit of ice cream. "Mmm. You do taste good, Nessie," he murmured.
While part of him was feeling unusually docile for letting himself be led around by a girl, the fun he was getting out of it was immense. Perhaps, Twilight thought, he ought to listen to others just a touch more often. Especially if they had ideas like these. There was plenty of time for the roles to switch later, and a small part of Twilight's mind was busy planning for this, but the rest was fixed on the present.
"Hey, don't go writing this off until we try it!" he protested firmly, but with the same smile he'd been wearing all night. "Dancing's fun, but I'm happy to try something new, you know." Falling into a beanbag chair, he kicked his legs up into the air excitedly. "So, how do you do this exactly?"

Ness came and knelt down in front of him to help him. It was almost in a way you see moms tie their kids shoelaces or some sort of like image. She slipped the wristband around his wrist, adjusting it to be sure he wouldn't let go of it... sending it flying into anything around that could break.
She then stood up in front of him to demonstrate. "All you have to do is watch how you hold your wiimote. The way you hold it is how it works pretty much. Like so... I'm loading up darts." She was flicking the wiimote around the screen like a laser pointer.
Ness loved the darts. It was so random and carefree. She thought darts for them would be great. When she went to throw the dart in hand, she looked back at Twilight. "See, so just don't let go of the controller after you throw it. Just release teh button." Ness's dart had fallen off the side of the dartboard on screen.
She looked shocked and embarrassed. "Um... I have to admit that I haven't been home and playing as much recently... so, you're gonna be lucky today. But, this game has lots of minigames on it. Like.. air hockey with neon lights.. and one where you ride a cow..."
Secretly to herself, her mind was thinking about him licking the remaining of ice cream off of her fur. Honestly, she would rather have him lick her hands with no ice cream on them all night; but she wasn't sure that he would stay if she wasn't offering him entertainment. She put her appetite for physical affections aside for the time being. For the time being only...

If Ness was the mom, Twilight was definitely the hyperactive kid. He watched the demonstration closely, oohing and aahing where he felt it was appropriate. A laser pointer was an image he could get into, and he was more than ready to give it a try. "Like this?" he asked, waving the Wiimote around. "Or more like this?"
All that, and the game wasn't even loaded yet! Again he watched, and clapped when the dart fell off. Though when Ness's dart fell, he blinked. Why was she making excuses? The whole thing was cool, it wasn't like she'd messed up... or had she, and he just failed to notice?
"What, that wasn't supposed to happen? I thought it looked cool." Twilight spread his arms wide, making sure to keep a firm grip on his controller. "It just went flying? But if that's not the point, what is?" Having never played darts before, the finer points of the game escaped him. Still, it looked sort of fun.

Ness gave a laugh as she plopped on the same chair as him. She fluffed her tail all over him. "The point is if your dart lands on the circle with the numbers and colors.. you take points off that number by your face. and first person to do it.. wins... So.. If I win.. you have to brush my hair as much as I want you to."
She turned her face towards him with a daring and yet delighted face. She also said this because she was almost certain she would win. All these random moments when he pets her tail or something was starting to unnerve her. She was actually doing extremely well not to melt completely.

So it was an aim game. Admittedly, Twilight's aim was not as good as it could be. In his mind, close was good enough, and he probably would have preferred a game of horseshoes in the long run.
But then came the bet. "Oh really?" Twilight asked, his competitive nature sparked. "You're on. And if I win... if I win, I pick the next game," he said cryptically. He had a few ideas on what to pick, too. "And it can be anything."
The chances of him winning a game he'd never played were remote, but Twilight was nothing if not determined. Aiming his controlled at the screen, he held down the button that Ness had showed him, then released...
And missed the board by several inches.
"Well. That could have gone better," Twilight remarked sheepishly.

Ness shimmied her body up in an upright proud looking position. "Oh, you are so on... We both have 300 points.. first one to zero wins." She stuck her tongue out playfully at him and continued to take her turn. She finally landed one in the circle.
She smiled to herself as she was just so sure she'd win. And, then there would be much petting. It seemed like it was so in the bag for her.
