I wholeheartedly agree with you that we need more areas in which to participate. I think that much of it will depend on what people want to talk about. I mean, a bar is always a central part of a military community, its just the way it is. THere are other things we could use, though. As long as there's a reason for it, it'll be a go-ahead. I'm a lot more laid-back about it than lord necros. He doesn't think we should clutter the guild up . . . and he does own it so generally I just agree with whatever it is that he has decided.

Aloreina pushed the door of the pub open and the bitter night air assaulted her senses as the light from the pub poured onto the deserted street. "Damn." The door closed behind her heavily, and blocked most of the merriment from the bar inside.
The darkness was so thick, that it seemed to cling to her arms and legs even through the armor. There had been a time, many years ago when the darkness had no meaning to her. She made her way slowly across the marketplace to the well and sat on the edge, staring at her dull reflection on the surface.
Her eyes were bloodshot and her face red. She pushed her hair over her shoulder and leaned toward the water, scooping handfulls up which she threw into her face repeatedly until drink-induced dullness started to fade. She was cold and wet and the dark did not seem to lighten at all with her new alertness, but if anything seemed to cling to her more stubbornly.
Aloreina stood slowly, deliberately and tapped her staff on the ground twice, muttering "Illumina" under her breath. The staff burst into light and glowed steadily as she made her way toward the gates of the city. Things had been quiet here recently, and it seemed as good of a time as any to go back to that place she had avoided for so long. Her presence would not be missed for a few days, and if they were going to war soon she had to leave this world without regrets.

Hearing Ben Halen's voice she pauses and peers over her shoulder in the darkness. "What is it that you want, Halen?" She asks, irritation evident in her voice. "I am fine, you have no reason to worry."
As he approached, his face was outlined in the light from her staff, ruddy and good natured. He didn't answer her right away, but approached to where she was standing instead. "Can I help you?" Aloreina asked.

Aloreina frowns at Ben Halen. "If you're not going to answer me, then I'm leaving. Next time you decide to stop me, perhaps having something to say would be advisable."
She shakes her head irritably and turns away from him, leaving him in the darkness as she exits the marketplace down a narrow alley and then onto the wide street leading to the town square.

Aloreina pauses just before the Town Square and then looks over her shoulder. "Halen, listen . . . it's pretty clear you're just going to follow me and spout random comments the whole way, so I'm not going to fight you about it. But, if you get annoying . . . " Aloreina conks Halen over the head with her staff, not enough to really hurt him, "I'll leave you in a ditch somewhere . . ."

* ben starts to sing on the road again* " so where exactly are we going.............i hope somewhere with food. i ordered a cheeseburger back at the bar but charly burnt it so bad i could do morse code on it.

Aloreina shakes her head wearily. "Look halen, there's a long trek ahead of us and no where to stop and get food. We're going to have to survive on simpler means." She digs in the pockets of her cloak. "I have muffins, but that's about it. There' from the bar, but they're actually very good. Banana or blueberry?"
Aloreina holds out two squashed muffins to Halen. "I have plenty."

*walks out of darkness with a cup of blood in my hands*the people here have nice tasting blood...*takes a long gulp that finishes the whole cup,then throws the cup hard on the floor*blood...good...

Aloreina stares for a moment. "This is by far the weirdest army I've ever been in. Let's see wolf plus iron . . . could it be Charly's assistance. I suppose its possible, but I don't see him around." She frowns, and peers at the blood-drinker. "You know that we have a fine bar and grill. You don't have to drink . . . blood if you don't want to. That and Charly probably has some on tap. He has . . . ecoplasm on tap so I don't see why he wouldn't have something so much easier to . . . prepare."
Aloreina picks up one of the backpacks and slings it across her shoulder and tosses the other to Ben Halen. "We need to get on the road, we've been procrastinating entirely too much."
She shifts the weight of the bag on her shoulders. "Damn this thing is heavy. Come on, let's get out of here." Ben Halen and Aloreina exit the area into the Town Square.
