Aakiyana Naomi10116 Aakiyana Did you even read the posts before you? confused And don't blame the music for making you mess up in school, if you can't concentrate with rap blasting, you can't concentrate with rock or almost any other genre of music. If that's the case, why didn't you complain to a teacher, or move?

Ever try doing AP Calculius with Rap? NO.
The fact was people in that school didn't listen to rock, all of it was rap. And they BLAST it.
Plus I am in college, I was doing my homework in my dorm. You can't tattle on people in your dorm room, the dean would think it was a stupid waste of his time. I asked them politlely to turn it down but It was so Loud they couldn't hear me. confused
No I have comlained trust me.
And in and dorm the dean is pretty much the main power and my dean, well hes quite the bias b*****d. I have tried getting a new room but he insists that they have no more rooms available.
I have tried everything that was at my expense, but it just didn't work. So now I deal with blasting hard core rap, it sucks.
And you know the reason why I can afford to move rooms? MONEY.
Try moving your stuff halfway across the dorm without help, plus this college I got into was from a scholarship, so I really in real life probably can't afford it. I am already pushing my luck, so I have to lay off or risk being kicked out. stressed

Well the only thing to really suggest is to maybe find a study hall or library or some other quiet place to do your homework. I still say don't blame the music, blame the people.

People should be able to listen to what they want. It's freedom of...it's just freedom, okay. If America and Canada are free countries, that means music should be alongside the deal.

I am a rock and metal man, yes that dose make me bias so take what I say as you will but Rock dose swear and it is sometimes not in the best of taste but it is not used as a filler as in some rap not all but some. I also feel that if you were to compare them to a neutral person they will find them both equally repulsive.

I was raised with hip hop...
In my opinion its what kind of people are in your schools.
My middle school was very diverse and I knew a lot of people.For reasons my mom sent me to a different high school because she didn't want me to get in trouble.My high school is not diverse and theres a lot of preppy,skaters,goths etc and I'm still getting used to thee many changes. Just had to rant...
Its just what your comfortable in to sum it all up.

the problem with censoring songs is that it is taking away from freedom of speech, and in some songs it doesn't make sense without the words, like in the song surfacing it wouldn't make sense if it said bleep it all bleep the world bleep everything that you stand for, and giving too much power to the people who censor songs and then we'll end up without songs like the serpentine offering and anti christian phenominon because the people who are censoring songs don't like them

Rock is actually one of the most purer of the music even if it doesn't sound it. That's because it comes from the soal, the modern rock bands anyway. They all make up their lerics, as if the albom they are writing is like a jurnal. Hip-hop is just for dance, and movement. The words are really bad in most of the songs of R&B but others also come from the heart, but music, like actting is an art formation even if one doesn't come up with it themselfs, they have to come up with their own way of singing it first.
