Suzume mentally growled. This was annoying. She would have to speak carefully, incase someone was still listening. "The walls have ears," she muttered to herself, then turned to Hitomi. "Is he gone?" She wanted to get over this quickly, and any more hindrances would set her off. Hitomi's presence was the only thing keeping her from attacking Rei.

As Rei leapt into the sky a small smirk played her lips. “I don’t know a lot about Rei yet, but of what I know of him he probably won’t go away.” She thought to herself as Suzume’s question rung through her ears. “For now…” Hitomi replied closing the door but staying near just in case.

Suzume closed her eyes and took a deep breath to stave off her annoyance. It barely worked. She reopened her eyes and stared straight at Hitomi. "As you know, Kei will be taking Akira's place as head of the Kobayashi clan," she paused, frowning. "But I'm unaware if he is worthy of leading us." Her mind wandered for a moment, recalling Akira and his foolishness. "I want to see if he is worthy before... doing anything."

Hitomi nodded at Suzume’s words “So how do you plan to judge if he’s worthy or not?” Hitomi said calmly with question in her voice. Checking outside the window to see if Rei had returned, not seeing him she turned her gaze back to her teammate and awaited her answer.

Rei returned to the door and glued himself to the door this time and using the invisibility cloak to match it just in case Hitmoi decided to come out again, this time he would know, and so far the information was need to know.

Suzume was silent as she thought about how to test Kei. There were many aspects he needed to be tested on. His leadership skills, his ability to make correct choices, his strength, his knowledge: these were only a few. "Maybe... a mission?"

“Hmm a mission you say.” Hitomi thought about it as she took a few steps toward Suzume. “What kind of mission should be assigned to him? Then we will have to talk about it with Konpaku san to approve it.” Once she said that she plopped herself down back onto the floor next to Suzume; then she began to think again “Something that will challenge his leadership skills…so should we go on a mission and I let him be the “leader” but if something goes wrong I’ll take back over; this still needs more thought though.”

"What about a rescue mission: a fake one," Suzume suggested, "Say a noble lady was kidnapped and he needs to infiltrate the kidnapper's hideout without being detected. There can be two others on his team, one being a 'spy' for the kidnappers. They'll be caught and Kei will be given the choice of escaping by himself, allowing the noble lady to escape, or both of them being captured."

Hitomi let a small smile creep across her lips as she rested her hands on top of her head. “I always liked the way you think.” She said shifting her eyes to meet Suzume’s; now all we have to do is get it approved by Konpaku san.” Hitomi said as she took her gaze from Suzume and brought it to a random spot on the wall. She really didn’t feel like standing back up but she did so anyway, slowly, “So anyone in mind for a spy or kidnapper or both or shall we figure that out when we get there?” Hitomi continued to question wanting everything straighten out; she didn’t care much for big problems.

"It has to be someone he trusts," Suzume said, "someone he won't suspect." She thought over the choices and realized that she partially matched the description. Yet no one else came to mind. If only she knew her cousin a bit better. "But it can't be me. Hitomi?"

Hitomi mentally jumped at the mention of her name “I don’t know him at all I doubt I’d even know his name if u hadn’t minced those very FEW times, or when Konpaku san talked to me about him.” Hitomi thought about it more the first time she’d seen him was that day in Konpaku’s office. “Besides I doubt he trusts me. But we’ll see how it plays along; trust may not be an issue.”

"I suppose," Suzume said as she stood. A smirk crossed her face for a split second. "But he would be shocked if betrayed by someone he trusted, and it would allow us to see how well he reacts in such situations." Shrugging, the girl moved towards the shack's door. "I'll suggest it to Konpaku-san. Are you going to come, too?" Grinning, Suzume left the forest while listening for Mizu's answer. [Exit Forest]

Hitomi laughed inwardly “So then is she planning on being the spy.” Letting a kind smile cross her lips, she loved it when Suzume got excited “Well I think she’s excited.” Her thoughts were interrupted by Suzume’s question “Of course, at the moment I have nothing better to do and I’m not about to go find you cousin he’s suppose to find me.” Hitomi opened the door to the shack and walked out of it. She thought about leaving notes for Rei about were she would be, but she figured if he needed her he could find her. [Exit Blood Shadow Forest]

Rei wouldn't need to find her, before she opened the door he was already on his way to see Konpaku, besides as a member of the squad he had something to do with who is considered a member. They wouldn't want any weakling youngster joining their ranks.
