"Like what?" Axel eyed the boy, snapping his fingers to dismiss the flame. "Begging to Vexen to fix us?" the elder scoffed. "...Or...we could threaten him into it.." A smile played at the fire-wielders lips. He did so enjoy tormenting the other members.

"I-I could cut it off," Kaleb offered quickly. He was still nervous over the entire situation, and wanted it to be over with as soon as possible so they could get on with their day and have some fun.
Realizing that perhaps he should explain a bit further, he rushed through a short and stuttered explanation, which was accompanied by a large amount of fidgeting. "I-I c-can create magic shields fine enough t-to cut fur, a-and i-it would be pretty safe..."

 "W-well we wouldn't have to b-beg Vexen..."
Demyx fidgeted around in the water a bit.
"If I t-told him to do it he'd h-have to...ya know?..."
Of course, that'd require giving an order. Demyx wasn't so sure he wanted to do that either. Kaleb's offer won a rather startled glance from the sitarist.
"C-c-cut it off???"

"...You? Give an order?" Axel chuckled, smirking at the boy. "You sure you're up to that?"
His gaze shifted to the timid boy at the waters edge. "Magic??" The elder looked confused. Demyx had never told him his friend was a magician.

Kaleb fidgeted and nodded, but he didn't elaborate for the redhead. He was a little confused on top of being nervous, and had no idea who Vexen was or why orders would be required. The little healer couldn't help but turn his own gaze downward as the other two looked at him and get more feathers wet tucking his wings closer to his back.
"I-it wouldn't hurt," He added in a very quiet voice.

Er, yeah...letting Kaleb cut the fur off was looking like a real good option. At least it was better than burning, and attempting to order Vexen around.
"Y-you....promise it w-won't hurt Kaleb?"

"Right," Axel chuckled. "...we're better off giving the kid a try.." He smiled down at Kaleb, looking over the boy. "No need to be scared...we aren't going to hurt you.."

Kaleb nodded to Demyx, and even managed a weak little smile at Axel's reassurance. He probably still looked frightened though.
The scrawny angelic knew it would be hard for him to help Demyx calm down if he was a nervous wreak himself, so he struggled to suppress every last nervous fidget and tried to make his voice sound more confident.
"I-it won't hurt at all," he promised, inwardly wincing at the slight stutter and vowing to do better on the next phrase. "I could do Axel's fur first, i-if it will make you feel better about it..." He timidly glanced up to see if the redhead minded at all.

Demyx was much too eager to agree to letting Axel go first. But..well he was second in command, and it WAS Axel's fault in the first place, so the red-head should be just as eager to test out this method for him. If for whatever reason the technique didn't work, then Demyx would happily turn down the same treatment for himself, and go about comforting Axel...or something.

"Heh...thanks Dem," Axel chuckled softly. Holding out his paws, he winked at the youthful magician. "Go for it, kid." He still preferred burning the fur off, but if this was what Demyx wanted, he'd do it his way. Besides, it could prove a good opportunity to get closer to the boy's friend. The poor youth looked so nervous he was about to piss his pants. Luckily, the red-head was good at getting people to "warm up" to him.

Kaleb gave a short nod, and wordlessly took one of Axel's green paws in his own. He figured now wouldn't be a good time to mention that he wasn't a kid. "T-try not to move," he said instead.
He closed his eyes and let a bit of magic flow through him, and focused it into a razor edged shield at Axel's palm. It was simple enough to run it across the skin, cutting off the fur and making it appear for all the world like it was just falling off on it's own. Axel may not have even felt a thing. Once he was sure all the green on that paw was gone, he opened his eyes and glanced up at Axel as though asking if it was satisfactory, and if it was okay to do the other paw.

Demyx's ears flattened back as the fur fell from Axel's paw. He knew it was Kaleb's magic doing it, but it was still pretty odd to see fur just falling off Axel's paws like that. Shaking off the initial fear, Demyx scooted closer to examine the paw, and see Axel's reaction.
"T-that...didn't seem s-so bad..."

Axel studied his paw for a moment, undisguised suprise showing that the youth's magic had actually worked. "Hmph. I guess that's a little better than using fire. Thanks, kid," he smiled, ruffling Kaleb's cute blonde hair. The red-head extended his other paw, letting the little magician take care of that one as well so they could get back to having fun..not that this wasn't amusing, but there was more mischief to be made.

Kaleb's hesitant look was replaced with a smile, and he quickly repeated the magical treatment for Axel's other paw. Riley often ruffled his hair like that, and it had come to be a very reassuring gesture. Once again he held his tongue on the 'kid' comment though.
"Demyx, should I do your shoulders now?" Kaleb asked with a smile, unknowingly letting his wings dip a bit lower into the water.

Content that the treatment was actually quite safe, Demyx nodded and stepped forward.
"Y-yes...please."
Unafraid to put his own wings in the water, the sitarist lowered them to give Kaleb better access to his green stained shoulders.
