ello! Just joined (thanks for accepting me!)
I suppose I don't really know much about steampunk, but I have a great teacher in my fiancé! I'm a mom first, and when I have the tools and time, a metal artist secondish. Right now I have designs for a clock made of hard drive stuff, goggles, and two things that I've forgotten! (I have the drawings somewhere though.) When I have the money for tools, my current project will be making dread decor. (I've been letting my hair dread for about 3 months.)
Anyhow, etc etc! Feel free to shorten my name to unknowing ^.^

Hi there! New member here. I adore steampunk and have for around a year now since I discovered (I stumbled upon during my obsession with gothic lolita). I hope to have a great time here!

Hey, my name is Clinton. I'm a big fan of steampunk, dieselpunk and clockpunk. I just love all kinds of old things, such as airships, overly-complicated mechanisms, old airplanes, old technology, locomotives, pulp adventures, and all kinds of other stuff. blaugh

Good day all,
I, of course, am Pigeon. I have a new found interest in steampunk and dieselpunk, that i hope to indulge here. I enjoy building my own steamy contraptions from time to time, and hope to find some inspiration here. My idea of steampunk tends to differ slightly from most, but only as far as technology is concerned. I am very happy to be here.
Sincerely, Pigeon

Exactly how I got into steampunk has been lost in the general mish-mash of my terrible memory, but I rather expect it had something to do with my being into gothloli/ouji fashions, as well as an interest in old clocks, the Victorian era, and big complicated whatsits.
I'm not really, say, a "practicing" steampunk; I neither dress in the style (though I hope to, someday) nor make things, as if I tried I'd be likely to poke out both my eyes.
And I talk like that whenever I get into large gatherings of steampunks, but I usually don't. Really. I'll probably fall back into typing out my "accent" (New Jersey, so, slurred words and a lot of cursing) pretty soon. XD

Hello, my name is Lillian Paige Oliver. But most call me Lily. I am just seventeen years of age and I am just slowly starting to discover who I am. Steampunk is something that I am slowly starting to adore. It appeals quite greatly to me and I am looking forward to learning more about. I love to have discussions with people and although I rarely do it, I am quite good at role playing, so if it interests you at all, feel free to contact me via private message.
Best wishes,
Lillian Paige

Hey howdy. I'm the Kaiser (Sharky when I have the Aquatica Shark Tail on). I'm nineteen, in my second year of college as a Music major, and in my spare time I like to rob people with nothing to take. ^_^

Hey everyone ^___^ I am Paige. I'm almost 22, and I live just outside of Boston. In two weeks, I'll be starting an internship at a hospital as a medical assistant. I'm the cool person who gets to draw peoples' blood, yay!
I've always had a place in my heart for steampunk for as long as I can remember, but I never knew there was a name for it, hehe ^___^ I am always looking to learn more about it all, so please feel free to share info with me. I look forward to getting to know you all!

I go by a few names online, but just call me by Discipline or Twitch.
I only recently became interested in the genre, when I read The Difference Engine. I haven't been able to find much more since, which is part of why I'm here now. I don't know much about history, so I am not very good with all that stuff, but I still really like the genre.
