Silphy lay quietly on the beach, listening to the waves crash slowly just below her. She missed the sound of water every once in a while, and just had to stop and come here to listen. She's been at port a short while now, but Kylina showed no signs of getting back at sea just yet. So she sat and waited, listening.

Marilene smiled up at the boy, backing away from him to join her Captain. She didn't really want a part of this whole fighting thing, she wasn't much of a fighter. Tangerine rolled her eyes in an annoyed manner. This was all just a petty arguement about who said what, or in the pirate's case, who pushed who.
"Stop ye bickering! You two sound like babies!" Tangerine reprimanded, waggling a finger at the two. She sighed again, pressing a hand to her forehead.
"Listen here, the both of ye. I don't know what happened, but I will." She turned to Arron, trying to make herself big and imposing but failing slightly. "I'm her Captain now so you're going to have ta answer to me. Now, you tell me why you threw her over the boat..." She paused, giving a strange motion with her hands of lightly pushing the air toward him as she scrunched up her face in disgust. "And then when you're done, you can tell me your story. " Tangerine added, indicating Asherah. She placed a hand on her hip, waiting for their stories.
Marilene waited patiently, noting quietly the girl lying on the beach near them. Marilene made no move toward her, but made sure to keep an eye on her.

Arron sighed. "I apologize. I'll explain," turning to Asherah. "If I may."
"I aren't ye cap'n, do as ye please," she said crossly, rolling her eyes and feeling rather small. It was odd, being bossed around like that. Normally she would be the one with the attitude. She didn't care for this whole... being a subordinate business. Didn't suit her.
"Thank you," then back to Tangerine. He took a deep breath. Should I tell them? "We have a map. I mean, not we as in me and her, but our captain has a map, which he got from her and she won't tell anyone where she got it from. So we've got the map, no idea what its to, and she tells us that we need a key when we get there and that she knows where to find it. So, Captain puts her at the head of navigation hoping that we can find this key she's talking about. So we're going all hopeful and she's leading us in circles. We passed this port twice. Captain was getting tired of it. Note that I had nothing to do with this. They don't let me in on the 'voting process,' which is not at all as diplomatic as it sounds. Only thing they use me for is when we port and they need someone to handle negotiations with non-pirate folk because I can 'talk pretty' and to find information. Throwing her overboard was completely beyond my control." He felt a little weak-kneed. He probably wasn't supposed to say that much.

Tommy Cullen Silphy lay quietly on the beach, listening to the waves crash slowly just below her. She missed the sound of water every once in a while, and just had to stop and come here to listen. The two girls watched Arron, Tangerine's face frowning while Marilene watched with intense awe and wonder. Tangerine paused as he stopped, blinking her eyes quickly in thought. She shook her arms free from her hips, then walked a few paces to the left, then to the right, then back again. She was acting strangely, even for her. She was acting... Nervous...
"So, what does it mean?" Marilene asked quietly, her voice light and feminine. She looked over at Arron with large blue eyes, her eyebrows high in question. Tangerine paced for a few more minutes before looking over to Asherah.
"What kind of key is it?" She asked softly, her eyes glued to Asherah's face.

Hot Lolli Gwendolyn Margarete, or Gwen Maggie for short, sat on a bench and took a long look around at the water and the shore-line. Spotting a lone woman, Gwen focused on her and watched for a while; "She looks so lonely," the 6 foot tall angel thought to herself. Standing up, she smoothed her pants to rid them of any creases and made her way over to the other girl.
"Excuse me miss," she said politely, "How would you feel about some company?"

Smoothing her coat beneath her as she sat down on the sand, Gwendolyn held out a hand and smiled. "Name's Gwen." Keeping her wings folded against her back, the angel shrugged her shoulder-blades and looked out at the sea. "Homesickness," she rolled the word out thoughtfully, "You're not from around here either, then?"

Silphy shook the ladies hand, and nodded. "Aye. I live on a ship, m'self. The sound of the water help make me feel more at home, as such." She looked out to the horizon. "M'Captain decided to come to port, so I'm here until she docks off again. I don't mind, generally. But I do love the ocean more than the land."

"I can understand that," Gwen said softly, Silphy had such beautiful hands it was hard not to stare at them instead of looking to the girl's eyes. "I've got quite the case of homesickness myself." Shrugging out her wings, she looked at them hopelessly then shook her head. "But that's neither here nor there," she smiled again then let go of Silphy's hand. "Any reason your captain would pull you from the sea?"

"I think she just felt it was time to come back to land and reacquaint ourselves with some sort of port and trade." She said. "I love the water, but I also love my Captain, and she wouldn't pull us off the sea without a good reason." Silphy smiled, albeit sadly. "I didn't ask. I was kind of happy at first. A chance to let go and just meet people. Only you're the only person I've met so far. Everyone kind of stays away from us, because Kylina and The Silver Dream are known a fairly formidable Pirate and Ship."

"Bloody pirates," Gwen said with a laugh, "I've never actually met one before; I had thought they were a thing of the past." Travelling her gaze from Silphy to the sea, then to the sky, Gwen sighed. "Pirate or not, you seem nice enough. Then again, you're also the first person I've met."

"Pirate or not, that doesn't change the fact that I grew up on The Silver Dream." She chuckled. "We do what we 'ave to to survive. Sometimes, its less'n desirable work, but we don' really 'ave a choice. Other times, we're forced into situations that make us look like the badgals. We don't rape and pillage, but we 'ave had to steal to get by in the past. Also, we try not t'be bloody as often as possible." She smirked, and followed Gwen's gaze. "Where are you from?"

Smiling sardonically, Gwen understood fully what it meant to do what one had to in order to survive; and it showed strongly on her face. "Would you believe me if I said Heaven?" Shrugging her shoulders again, her wings felt heavy. "I'm not just your average freak of nature. You could say I'm truly God's gift to man." Rolling her eyes and placing a ciggarette in it's holder, she lit it, then took a long drag. Eyeing Silphy, she cringed inwardly - "You don't mind, do you?"

"No, not at all." She replied. "Heaven? I don't mean to pry, but... What happened?" She wasn't just curious, she genuinely cared about why Gwen was no longer in such a wonderful place as Heaven was supposed to be.

Gwen, not shy at all about her life, held up her hands helplessly. "I fell in love with another angel, she fell in love with a fallen angel and left. I've been watching over her since, even though I wasn't supposed to have contact with her, and then I got caught. Ever since then, I've been wandering and trying to collect myself." Running her tongue along her teeth, she then took another long drag and exhaled slowly. Reading Silphy's face, she smiled, "Heaven isn't all it's cracked up to be. At least not when you're not one of His chosen."
