Aelfiede Well the end sequence is a silent one that lasts about a minute. There is a caption that says "10 years later". We see a kid running in a large field singing a pirate song. He has Will's hair and a pirate hat. Then we see Elizabeth coming behind him. The sun sets and there is a green flash. Liz and son both watch the horizon... and zOMG SHIP! We see Will on it smiling at them. The end. It's well thought... but that keeps me thinking "WOW, Liz has NO DAMN sex life." She is a saint, for sure. What?! eek Man I left the theater during the credits but didn't stay to see the end of the credits so now I'm angrey and depressed I didn't stay. sad

I anyone else just a tad bit annoyed that Sparrabeth didn't happen? I was soo convinced there was something there too stare

I doubt Jack is the type that would like to be tied down to anybody like that. It takes his freedom away, which he seems rather fond of.

x.fiendish ComicalChaos The_Goddess_Aurora I liked the movie but the Calypso Revenge thing didn't feel resolved to me. Sure Davy Jones died, but I thought she said she was going to punish everyone. Oh I totally agree. So she...got really big and then dropped a bunch of crabs on 'em.
Yeeeah, that doesn't seem like very harsh punishment.
However, she did say that /before/ she knew of her honey's treachery. Perhaps once she learned of how Davy was a naughty boy she was so angry and hurt that she was no longer mad at the pirates.
And I have a feeling that she was mostly just happy to be back to her shapeshifting old self.
If she'd wanted it was revenge, she'd have created it under the pirate fleet or the armada or a specific ship.
By creating the maelstrom in the middle between the two fleets, showed that while she was pissed at everyone, she was holding to her morals as a god and chose no favorites.

Naw, but at least the love square was cute in this movie. I liked that it could have a sad element as well!!
Since the day movie 2 came out I've always said I hoped that Davy Jones would get the girl!!! Well, he didn't, but I was still satisfied and happy that they at least covered that story and made it cute! So sad, I thought it was the saddest part! cry
I was so hopefull through the movie! I thought for sure he would get the girl by the end! *sigh*
Now, I'm comlpetely anti-fangirl, and that especially includes Orlando Bloom, so therefore I'm generally inclined to dislike him a bit, but I was actually sad at the end when he got stabbed. I was really genuinely sad.
I guess I pretty much used those two to gage this movie as my third favourite movie ever, with POTC2 close behind and after POTC1.

Alright, I never cry in movies (my friends call me heartless for it xd ) but I was bawling my eyes out --- not just tearing up, but shaking with sobs --- when Norrington died. He was never my favorite character or anything, it was just... so final. It was like, "Wow, Pirates is really coming to an end. You knew Jack would be back. Norrington, on the other hand, is really dead. He's gone. Your movie is concluding." It was a horrible, horrible feeling and I love AWE for it.

As it didn't wrap up Cap'n Jack's story. Did he get to florida and therefore got the pearl?

Parts that made me sad were the little boy getting hanged and norrington dying
the part that scared the living HELL out of me was Will getting stabbed crying
