The beast waled to the very end of the Temple, then began to walk up some stairs. The two of them climbed up many flights, the ghostly people all around them. The people began to speak and get close to the pair, trying to draw attention to themselfs. A very loud roar was hear from outside the temple, it was good that they had gotten here so soon.
After much climbing they left the stairs and walked down a dark hallway, eventually ending at a large door. The door and strange marking on it, along with two carvings of armor clad men. 'This is your destination. I will wait out here for either your return... or to pull your body out.'

Skyeheart nodded. Drowning the voices of the others out wasn't easy, but he had practiced meditation under Seisuke. He slowly walked to the door, and gently pushed it open.

Inside the room there were many statues of people... Terrified looks forever placed upon their faces. Most of the statues were broken in some places, missing an arm or a chunk of their body. All the statues looked increadibly life-like, down to the foremost detail. On the wall hung pictures of noble looking people, and at the end of the room there was a throne. Sitting in the throne was a man dressed like a king in black, his black hair shining slightly in the poorly lit room. Under his hair a silver eye was visible, along with a sinister smile. Two large, black wings came from his back. "Hello Mr. Skyeheart, come to be apart of my collection?"

"Are you the one they call Dragon Man?" Skyeheart said after showing courtesy with a small bow.

"It appears that is what some call me, yes." The man said, unmoving from his spot. "Why exactly have you come here? I know you told Ziven that you were coming here for her, but there must be another reason." He chuckled lightly before he spoke again. "Did you come here seeking power? I know you feel you need it for something that is coming..."

Skyeheart did not move at all either. He knew what was being read from him, so there was no need tp panic nor beat around the bush. "The one named Reeve...you know what afflicts him. I have come to you to gain the knowledge of curing him."

"What afflicts him cannot be cured." The man said simply, shaking his head. "What afflicts him should have killed him, I know not he survived. Soon he will wish he hadn't." His smile grew a bit. "But you did not answer my question. What is the true reason for coming here?"

"Perhaps it was my sense of adventure, or maybe my feeling of duty. But maybe...the true reason...was that I wanted to know the kind of father Reeve had. But perhaps I already know, which is why I came here."

The man smiled and stood, beginning to walk to Skyeheart. "the statues here were once adveturous people. People who felt it was their duty to explore a place unknown..." When Skyeheart mentioned parent his smile faded a bit. "I was as good of a parent as he could ever have. He had a nasty habit of accidently killing people, so I took him in. The rest of the world hated him, so I taught him how to hate the rest of the world."

Skyeheart stood his ground, he would let him come. It showed that he was paying attention to him. "Hate the world...because it hates you. I can relate to that, as can my dead brothers. Hatred may breed more hatred, but the stronghearted can break that cycle, by loving those who do not deserve such love, or so the majority think. And that's what happened to Reeve is it not? He no longer agreed with your idealogy, and therefore you no longer considered him a son, as he no longer considered you a father."

The man stopped and smiled. "You are wrong there. He has found someone whom he cares for, but that has not stopped his hatred. Now he can simply overcome it... that is why I put the spell on him. It shall wait for the right moment before fully activating." He laughed as he imagined the destruction that would befall everything. "He is still very much my son, and like his father he will be betrayed. Even if I'm the person that has to force that betrayal."

"I see now...the source of his suffering...the bane that afflicts him...
it's your doing, isn't it?"

"Of course it is." The man said with a small laugh. "Bending reality, twisting space, destroying, rebuilding, causing chaos, and changing the rules is what I do. He made a new set of rules, so I changed the game itself. He will do what I want, when I want it and he won't be able to stop himself." By now he was laughing like a mad man, the torches in the room began to flicker.

"So that's why you said there's no cure. The only way he'll be free of this curse is if you take it off him.
But there's no amount of words that can convince you to do that."
Skyeheart put his claws to his sides. "That's also why...I came before you...armed."

The laughing stopped, but his smile did not fade. Composing himself again, the man tilted his head. "You came to force me to take the spell off, did you? I must say, you are more stupid that I thought you'd be." He chuckled slightly. "No matter. Here is the deal; if you kill me the spell will go bye bye... but it won't be easy to do. In fact..." The man tapped his claws against his leg. "... I doubt you will even be able to touch me."
