God, this had to work...
She felt those mental sensations as if they were real, and questions lept through her mind...was she really flying? Could this insanity become her reality? Who was she? Why hadn't her father told her of these secret abilities, if they were truly real?
And finally...dare she open her eyes?

She dare.
She slowly opened her eyes, and found herself floating higher and more stable then before.
She couldn't believe it! She was doing it! She was actually flying!!
Okay, no time to waste. Amanda wanted to get out of this sick and twisted maze as soon as possible.
She concentrated on moving her body horizontally, so she could be parallel with the wooden plank.

Though it was slow, the attempt at changing angle...
Worked!
She was definitely getting the hang of this now...the only thing left was to actually propel herself...

She stretched out her arms, and while keeping her balance, tried to push her feet against an imaginary wall.
Did it work?

That was the ticket...moving slowly at first...then eventually...by Gods! She was flying! Haha!
As she did so, it seemed like countless eyes were upon her, though...It was almost as if there were several people monitoring her performance. God, this place was creepy...kind of dampering her experience, the unknown "watchers" took their toll on her already strained efforts...
But she'd made it to the other side! Touching down with a shiver, Amanda had done the impossible.
She'd proven her father wrong.
Amanda learned Flight, Level 3!
Cost: 0 (Passive Skill)
Skill allows player to fly long distances and medium to tall heights, for up to 1/4 of a mile. For some reason, this skill does not yet work over water. After flying, allow about one day to rest. It will be stated when the ability has recharged.
The door to the next room lie ahead...

Amanda sat on the wooden plank to rest for a moment. She leaned her head against the door and closed her eyes.
She couldn't believe it. She strained her eyes to see the distance she just flew, and couldn't see much. What did this new power mean?
Amanda took a deep breath, and rose to her feet.
As she put her hand to the doorknob, she muttered under her breath.
"2 rooms down. God only knows what's next."
She opened the door.

The room was pitch black. Not figuratively, or in exaggeration, but honestly COMPLETELY dark. There was no way even the most adeptly nocturnal creature could even see in this mess.
There was no smell, thankfully...but sounds and vivid rushes of air filled the chamber's interior...it was a pretty scary-looking place. And she couldn't even SEE! Damn, this Subania BLEW.
