Because they're poor and they can't support their family. Alot of people on the street are depressed. But if they're poor they can't afford pills or therapy. Look.. All you have to do, is go to the police, and say to them "I'm thinking about killing myself", and they will get you help.
They have free services just for these people. IF THEY WANT TO DIE WHY WOULD
THEY GO TO THE POLICE TO HAVE THEM STOP THE
PERSON COMMITING THE ACT! She's talking about people who want help but think they can't get help. You're talking about people who want to kill yourself, and don't want help. There's a difference.

I call them idiots.
Most of them have no idea what it means to have a "bad life"..
They say "Oh, my parents are so mean, they took my phone away and they told me I can't go to this party. God my life sucks so much, I hate myself, I wanna die!"
I'm pretty sure if they thought about the kids that are in 3rd-world countries, starving, alone on the streets, afflicted with AIDS, they wouldn't think their life is so bad..
Sure, there's unstable people, but if they're dumb enough to want to kill themselves, I say let them, just do it somewhere where it wont be a public scene.

If you look throught their eyes they see it as they have no
one to talk to, no one to go to with thieir problems.
So the feel the only way out is suicide. Its the way they
releave the world of themselves. Because they feel like
they are the reason for people's suffering.
So in a way they think its the unselfish thing to do, because they have
the mindset that they are helping everyone including themselves. So what you're saying is, they're basically retarded? NO! You're totally missing the point!
Taking what you want out of it! What point?? I don't pity people that are stupid enough to think that killing themselves makes anything better.
Do they not think about the people that will be hurt when the person commits suicide, essentially making things WORSE??

unacceptable. The debate, yes, but we were discussing how to get help. Getting help is different from not wanting to get help, obviously, so you jumping and butting your head in when it shouldn't have been, was pretty stupid, to me, granted you didn't seem to care what the actual subject of OUR debate was.
There is a BIG difference between "perfect", and stupid. And people that want to commit suicide are leaning wayyyy over to the "stupid" side.
Unacceptable? They are incapable of conventional thinking. Maybe retard wasn't the correct word, but it's not far from the truth, in terms of thought process, the way you describe suicidal people.

I think it is the whole glass half full half empty. there is no true answer. It is and is not, as are all decisions we make in life. Depend totally on a persons perspective.
It is if you think 'people could use your help, people need you'
It is not if you think ' people will be better off without me, I am just getting in people's way.
as a believer in life I am sure that eventaully most ppl will agree with the first outlook and not the latter. but until people find their niche, where they belong in life, they will feel as if the world would be better without them. Its not wrong or right, it's a belief.
