"No. I pull it up. Parental calls it a topknot but the pictures say I should shave most of my head to make it such." He was amused at that, watching the others wingspan curiously. So big!
Fingers hesitated, posing in midair before undoing all the work he had just put into it. It was as if a curtain of ebony just cloaked itself over his frame, to his knees in a thin, yet heavy, web. Kian took a few handfuls of his hair, moving over and offering it to Autsu.
"It is heavy, like this. But thin. There is much of it. I have not cut it, not since I have landed. I did not see the reasoning to." His voice held amusement in it; Kian imagined he must look like a spider of some sort, ghostly strands all around him, offering his friend a part of the web.
"The worst part is when I am bathing. It takes an hour to cleanse it."

And... now there was hair in his hands. The sensuality of hair was new to Autsu, unconnected to his past. Though some of his people developed feathers, none had hair. So, this, the strands of another's hair tangled around his fingers, this was a new experiance for him.
It was not without its pleasure.
Lightly, he traced his fingers through the strands, marveling at their length. It made his ally look different, softer somehow. He was not sure how he felt about that. It was so clearly false, to see him as soft. But perhaps soft was not the word he wished for.
"I do not believe I would have such patience." He admitted, touching the blue strands of his own hair. "But... I would not wish to see it cut."

"It is either have patiance or have dirty hair. I do not like to smell." He was amused, still, watching as his friend played with the long strands still. "I will not cut it then. You will see, when we are grown again, it will hit the floor and then you will sigh when I trip over it when we spar."
His tail twitched, fingers dropping one handful of his hair to reach up and touch Autsus. It was a different texture then his own but thinner then his father. The color was light and appealing.
"May I put my hair back up, Ally? I do not think I can show you how to use a sling if it is getting in my way."

"You will simply have to make a loop of it, so that it does not trail, should it grow much longer." Trust Autsu to approach an amused comment from the angle of practicality. For a moment more, he let himself stroke the dark beauty of it. Then he untangled his fingers, and prepared for the next move in the night's adventure.
They were looking for cloth.
"What sort, ally?" He asked, bringing back the question he'd asked before Kian's hair had distracted him. "If we are to raid for supplies, I first must know what sort would best suit our purposes."

Kian almost smiled as his friend stroked at his hair as if it was some sort of treasure. It could be considered such - no one saw Kian with his hair down. It was a rare thing. When he was released, his fingers went to braid his hair instead of binding it back up. The braid was thin and long, a good 2/3's of what his hair length was but it was out of the way.
"Something smooth. That would not slip with a tool inside of it. Sturdy. It would not do if it broke on us. Black is preferable, if attacking at night." He paused, frowning slightly and he held his hands a distance apart. "About so long."

Ahh, well, in that case Autsu did know of something in the house that would work nicely. Sussare's bed, in his brother's room, was cushioned with a black fabric that would meet Kian's specifications. It was possible that his brother had more of it somewhere. It was likely, that if he asked Sethos, the fae would simply give him item in question.
But his brother would not always be there to give him the things he needed. It was important that he and Kian be capible of obtaining the things they required with out assistance. Therefore, it would have to be, as he had already stated, a raid.
"I know where to find such a cloth. Do you think, while they still speak at the table, we might attempt to attain unseen?" If Kian wasn't interested then they would simply go and ask his brother.

At that, he paused. If Autsu knew of such a place to obtain the cloth, then he trusted the soldier. And if it was a practice on espionage... There was that grin again. Sharp teeth and a near sinister look. With the yelling, the violence, Korshan was the dominant side tonight. The side he labeled Kian was quieter and less prone to outbursts. He didn't consider it split personalities... just different ways of functioning.
The expression faded quickly however, to a quiet, amused look as he pondered. "I think we may be able to," He agreed, "As long as we do not start getting physical in the hall to the point where they can hear."
Yes, that would work. His fingers moved to hook in his pants, giving Autsu an appraising look. "So, ally?" He queried, "Lead on."

"I will behave, then." Something like amusement in his voice as he stepped over to where his door stood closed, and placed his ear against it. He heard nothing, which meant, at least hopefully, that no one awaited them in the hallway.
"We go to my brother's room. The cloth we wish is there. None should face the hall from where they talk, but we need be silent, or they might turn. Sethos's room is across, and down to the left. Away from the kitchen."
He paused considering. "But first we must be sure that he still entertains your brother, and has not retired. So we must see the table. We can not simply listen for him."
Because, of course, Sethos did not speak.

"Good. I would regret to have to smack you or something of the sort." His lips twitched in bemusement, head cocking slightly. He watched his friend listen and he listened to his words.
Autsu was good at this. The thought hadn't occured to Kian before but his friend was just an adapt fighter as he was. In different ways, of course, but he was good at his tracking, hunting and killing. Autsu was good at his methods. He had a better hold on his temper then Kian did, even!
"Alright." Kians shoulders rolled and his back straightened. His two main eyes narrowed, the third sliding down the hallway briefly. "If Ade has not started crying, it can be assumed he is still there but... Better be safe then have our heads on pikes." He paused, "...figuratively speaking, of course."
Of course.

"It seems you are not completely adverse to causing me injury, my friend." Autsu rubbed his the spot where Kian's tail had hit, ruefully. He spoke in an undertone, and then stopped speaking entirely. With his wings held tightly against his back, he moved cautiously into the hallway, listening. The adults talking. Silence. Ade's laughter. Only one could entertain the child silently. He hoped.
Tapping Kian lightly, he nodded further down the hallway, toward Sethos's bedroom. If they moved silently, the adults would continue to talk, and not look toward the unlit hallway.

Kian moved like a raptor. Toes first as he walked, nails barely touching the floor. His tail was wrapped around his waist (unlike a raptor, unfortunetly) to keep from sight in the darkened room. His main eyes... they could not see so well in the dark. They closed, the third, slitted eye watching Autsu as they started to creep towards the bedroom.
Despite being rather stocky for his age, the alien was able to keep rather quiet, breathing in near silence and slowly, strands of hair falling as that single eye watched Autsu and...they moved.
Ade giggled. Patrick chatted. There was conversation.
Above them, the children manuvered.

In this, Autsu's light form did not work against him. He moved like a shadow of himself. Were it not for his wings and hair, he might have passed for a shadow. A cloak, perhaps. No time to think of these things now.
The door to Sethos's room was shut, but there was no surprise in that. It would be well. There were no locks in this house. The winged boy didn't bother to place his ear against this door. There would be no sounds, occupied or not. He pushed it open gently, just wide enough for them to enter, and gestured for Kian to follow him in.
Sethos's room, unlike his, was plush and ornate. Egyptian symbolism mingled with Autumn's colors.

Kian was close behind, his fingers sliding up Autsus back to press against the junction between his friends wings. It was not meant as anything more then a 'I'm here' sort of motion. Touch between allies in 'battle' was needed; it let the others know you weren't an enemy, you were alive, you knew what youo were doing.
He nodded briefly at the gesture, whether or not Autsu could see him, and slid in after his friend. Once inside, his tail tightened around his waist to keep it close. "Cloth?" The aliens voice was very soft, barely a breath, his frame closer to his friend before drawing back. That singular eye roamed about, the eyebrows on the other two arching up in contemplation.
Well.
That was a different sort of room.

The touch of Kian's fingers against his back was, thankfully, not an uncomfortable one. The necessary contact of two comrades in an operation that required silence was something he could deal with. It was the casual cuddling at unexpected moments that really set him off. Still, where the pressure of Kian's fingers rested, his back sang.
There in the corner, was Sussare's small bed, with the black cloth that they sought. This mission was a simple one, but the intention was entertainment and practice, not true challenge.
"There. All of it?"

Once Kian had his bearings, his tail loosened, unraveling and stretching out in the area behind him. It gave him balance, when used properly, and it wasn't as if the darkness would make him appear anymore obvious. The alien rather enjoyed it, being able to blend in with the shadows.
His two main eyes stayed closed, that singular cat-eye peering at his companion. Kian shook his head slightly at the question, holding his hands about two feet apart, tail swishing slightly.
"Just that. It will be enough."
The rest question was... did they cut it? He glanced at his own nails; they could slice easily enough. Unless there were scraps his friend knew about...
