Alkaid was still back at her flower patch, although she was finally done picking them. Burbling happily, she grasped the flower stems gently in her beak, flapping to gain air time as she tried to make her way back to Chloe. She had found a rather large patch of sweet-smelling honeysuckle, it seemed, as the flowers she had picked had a light, sweet smell to them. Smiling to herself at her find, she nearly missed a blur coming from the bushes as another Pokemon attempted to steal her prize.

Thankfully, she was able to keep ahold of the flowers clutched in her beak, and they remained undamaged, other than a few scatterings of petals as she flapped back up from her strike. Smirking to herself, she flit off through the woods to try to find Chloe.

Entreri had found his match in the Flygon, for that he could give Mikami some bit of respect. If it weren't for the fact that the Flygon was just too durn crazy, the two might have become fast friends. Perhaps it was because they were too much alike.
The Flygon was circling, and thus, Entreri circled right back, trying to interpret his moves.

So when Mikami leaped towards him, Entreri's claws rose in a sudden and effortless cross before him.
Mikami executed a double-thrust wide, his claws and his tail stabbing past the axis of Entreri's claws. Entreri threw his hands out wide to their respective sides, the called-for defense, each of his clawed hands taking one of Mikami's strikes.

Advantage taken, Entreri went for the greater stance offered by his curved claws. A more conventional thinker would have reversed the thrust back at his opponent, but Mikami, expecting that, would have been too quick on the retreat for any real advantage to be realized. So Entreri turned his claws over Mikami's own, using the curve of his claws to bring them in tighter, that he could send them out with more authority, and perhaps even knock his foe off balance enough that he could score a quick strike...

Back in the clearing, Entreri rolled his claws over with a snap of his wrists, anticipating that Mikami's own claws would be flung out wide, leaving him open.
But the gauntlets...
Mikami countered by jamming the powerful gauntlets hard into the claws of Entreri's hands, and the impossibly sharp scales cut in, catching a hold that halted Entreri's move. Mikami pressed foward with his right, and stepped back with his left, keeping perfect balance as he disengaged his left arm from Entreri's rolling claws.

Seeing disaster, Entreri reversed suddenly, bringing his right hand across hard instead of ahead, which would have left him off-balance and lunging. He drove his claws down hard directly away from the terrible scales of the gauntlets, for that was the only chance to disengage before the mighty weapon cut half of his claw away. Mikami followed until the disengagement, then thrust forward at Entreri, of course, and Entreri's claws came across in the last instant, scraping along Mikami's claws, shearing a line of sparks off of the armored gauntlets and into the air.

But Entreri's claws came up from under the Sneasel's other arm, neatly picking off the attack, and Entreri uncrossed his arms suddenly, claws slashing back across to knock Mikami's claws aside. Lashing back at the gauntlets with equal fury, Entreri set his claws to work. Mikami leaped back, as did Entreri, the two again circling, taking a measure of each other.

Alkaid had finally caught up with Chloe, who was taking a break by the stream. Daimon was still splashing about, when something at the edge of the bank caught his eye. A small mushroom, too delicious-looking to resist, caught his attention, as Daimon swam over to take a look. It took only a second for the Kingdra to munch on the tiny mushroom, but it was enough. He suddenly recalled a move he hadn't known before, although he did remember his parents using it once... long ago... to call him back from playing in the Whirl Islands...
