Arch yawned as he walked down the halls, scratching his right wing. He heard the bawling, and took off jogging towards where he heard the noise. He ran into the room, finding Ruby crying. He jogged up to her, kneeling down and pulling her close.
"Dahlin', whut's the mattah?"

"Ahl readeh?" Arch said, slightly shocked. It was still the first month and people were dying. Hell, he didn't even know who the villains were yet. He folded a wing around her, comforting.
"Whell, who killed yeh? Ahmma lookin' fer somethin' ta do, an' killin the punk sounds ghud te meh."

Ruby wiped her tears with one of his feathers. "I dunno....some lady came out of the blue threw a couple a things that blew up my arms, then shot me in the head." She started crying again.

As Ruby described what happened, she felt a cold shiver run up her spine. The shiver crawled into her brain, dispersing and filling her entire body with cold.

Ruby started shaking madly, her skin and lips turning blue. "Arch, Sug, I'm gettin cold...why am I gettin COLD?!"

Arch wrapped his arms around her, rubbing her arms as the color started slowly returning to her.
"Dhamn, that's a good question. You were fine a moment ago, then you just froze up, literally...."

Ruby's eyes darkened, "I'm gonna have to kill her Arch. I'm gonna have to do more than kill her...." Her voice sounded a bit unnatural. As if something deep inside had changed, something not quite Ruby.

Arch raised an eyebrow, looking at Ruby as she spoke the murderous words.
"Yeh O.k dahlin?" He asked, a slightly shocked look on his face.

"Of course I'm not okay!" She snapped sharply. "I was just murdered and left to rot in a duckpond!" Ruby stopped cold, shook her head, and glanced at Arch. "I dunno, I dunno if I'm okay at all....somethin's wrong." She bit her lip her eyes pleading.

Arch was taken aback by the sudden outburst of anger. He stared at her, eyes questioning as she started to break down again.
"Hells, iffn yeh fheel that strongleh, 'bout it, ahl give yeh a hand khillin' 'er."
Arch stands up, holding a hand down to Ruby.

Ruby took his hand and stood up, "I think for the moment it might be better if I rest some."

Ruby drags in the prisoner, and slaps on a power inhibiting lock-bracelet, herself carrying the key.
