The witch is cute, I have to admit. But I don't like the fact that you have to kill animals to marry her. Well, that's the way it is in HM: DS. And in the English version, you can't even marry her!! =O You can marry the Witch Princess IF you have a newer version of the HMDS game!
To check this; look at the code on the back of your game:
Version 1.0 - ABCEN0J13
Version 1.05 - ABCEN0J22
Version 1.1 - ABCEN1J09 ABCEN1J11
You need version 1.1 to marry her.

I married the witch princess, the killing of all those animals wasn't fun, but I just see it as being a rebel and an outcast for awhile; making the whole village hate you. So the Witch Princess can fall in love with you... haha!
I married Ann in FoMT, I thought she was the cutest from the start...
But Witchy is the best; she's hard, has her own personality... Random child... Lives with you in your house (unlike Leia or Goddess)
