I can't tell what the phonemes are, you never really went in depth about pronunciation. At first glance, it reminds me of Malay or Javanese. And I've done learned a lot of Japanese in my day, and your language doesn't remind me of it at all. 日本語に似ている言語みたいじゃないと思うんだけどさ。。。

Vajra B. Hairava I can't tell what the phonemes are, you never really went in depth about pronunciation. At first glance, it reminds me of Malay or Javanese. And I've done learned a lot of Japanese in my day, and your language doesn't remind me of it at all. 日本語に似ている言語みたいじゃないと思うんだけどさ。。。 Well, the vowels and the "r" are based solely off Japanese. The rest of the letters are pronounced as in English, but its the "th" that probably confuddles most people. When you see a "th" you can pronounce it as a hard English "th" (like "they") or skip over the "h" so really, just "t", or you could pronounce it like the English "z". Then you pronounce "ch" as in English and "sh" as in English, but any other consonant + h combo is pronounced by completely disregarding the "h" and only pronouncing the consonant before it. (This is because of the writing system. Like how the Japanese steal English and other European words and add random "u's" to 'em. x3) ------------ And I actually recognice some of the hiragana in that! WOOT! (A-heh, I'm only in Japanese one... x3)

If you know hiragana, you know that the smallest unit of speech in Japanese is a syllable of a consonant and a vowel, so they can't have long cosonants. U is like of like the 'uuuhhh' sound of Japanese, they use it all the time like we use the schwa. And since they gotta slap a vowel onto that consonant, they pick the U. Japanese 1? You have some work to do!

You have some work to do! Well, I knew they weren't random... but yeah, I was just sayin' cause that's kinda how I use the "h" because I can't have two consonants together. sweatdrop And someone complained that I didn't have a "z" sound, so yeah... and I'd like to think of it as a dialect thing, actually. Like there's two sounds for the German "ch"... yeah, or I'm just lazy, but the dialect sounds more impressive. xD I usually pronounce it like a "z" though. 3nodding -------- And I know! I don't like our books for Japanese 1, they didn't even get to particles yet!!! Augh! I need particles!! Grr!

You don't even know particles? gonk Here - http://www.guidetojapanese.org/ Best guide to Japanese on the internet. I wrote a decent introduction to Japanese thread in the Laguage lessons thing too. Look at all that stuff if you have nothing else good. If you ever need Japanese help, I R here to do it, for I am t3h Japannerd. (In the sense of the language, not anime or culture. Just language.)
