This time Lux smiled at both men. Both the Demon Sword and a Shadow at her side?
Well, I certainly have gotten myself involved with some interesting people, here at this Pagoda, she thought to herself.
Leaning forward, she presented her own blade to Tochi, hilt first as his sword was facing her.
"And the dog?" she asked. "What message did your dog carry off for you?"

Shinta looked at Tochi. "This one would appreciate any futher information you can give Tochi-san. It has been seven years after all, since this one fought the Shadow Clan."

Battousai-nii Shinta looked at Tochi. "This one would appreciate any futher information you can give Tochi-san. It has been seven years after all, since this one fought the Shadow Clan." Tochi again looked to Shinta. "What Information would you like, Shinta-san?"

Xitha had been listening to this conversation with great interest; she had no intention of sitting back and watching while her friends were in danger. She wasn't a battle-mage for nothing.

Turning, she smiled at Xitha.
"So, you've cast in your lot with us as well, hmm?" Lux asked, with no little gratitude in her voice. Having a mage on their side could be very useful.
Looking at Tochi, she said, "How many? How soon? And how powerful is your brother?"

Tochi frowned. "Could be as little as three, as many as ten. As for my brother... He had a ritual cast on him in the womb. He is more powerful than I am...But not as good."

Shinta cast Tochi a look of quiet support and sympathy. He felt saddened that changing for the better had made Tochi an enemy of his own family.
