Takara gratefully accepted his support, seeing as she was on the verge of falling.
"I'll be fine, just feeling a little out of it, that always happens after I have a mind-battle. Do you mind if we go outside for a bit? I usually recover best out there."

Takara appeared back in her room and took a quick shower before packing a few belongings into a small pack and walking out the door.

*Hikari finally made it to her room, very tired but happy to be in her own room. Those 86 flights of stairs were a lot of work. But she really only started to get tired around 74.
Leaving her back to unpack later, she flopped down on her bed and just stared at the ceiling. Everything was quiet, but even the smell of the air was a memory for her here and she just laid back, embracing the familiarness of the Pagoda*

((....and on with the adventures of Shinta and Sasha!! XP))
*Giggling at Shinta's expense she surveyed the room to see if anything else needed packing..
.."Hehe...it's not all that important...yes as you can see I was getting ready to leave as soon as possible!"
*As she put the now dormant talisman back into her shirt, her eyes wandered over to the window..she hadn't realized that it had already turned pitch-black outside the pagoda*
.."and..Shinta-sama?"...*she turned back to him trying hard to hide her apprehension of tha darkness outside*..."Why don't we set off early in the morning?..That way we can travel with the sun!...

Shinta smiled back. "Have no fear of the night Sasha-dono."
He arose. "Get some sleep, we should get an early start tomorrow. I will meet you by the gate."
Giving a small bow to the girl, he disappeared to his own room. Before sleeping he went to the desk and withdrew some paper, an inkstone, and a brush.
To Cole,
It has been my great comfort and joy to stay here these last months. I must leave now to accompany a friend on a journey. I hope to come back, but few really know what lies ahead of us. Should I not return I wish to thank you for all you have done.
To Miss Dy: I am sorry I could not be your answer. May you find happiness.

Shinta then turned and packed up his belongings. It wasn't much--a knapsack containing an extra gi and hakama, a hairbrush, and a small purse of money.
Sighing, the swordsman placed the sack on the never-used futon and went over to the wall to sleep. His sword leaning against his shoulder like always.
He smiled as Natsuko's comforting presence surrounded him, drifting off into a gentle, dreamless sleep.

..."Ok"..*Sasha said as she watched Shinta disappear into the hallway*...
Collecting the pile of papers into her sack she put it on the chair near the desk, and hung her brilliant green cloak over it..and then climbed into her own bed looking up at the ceiling which was covered in a sea of stars...
...I'm gonna miss this place..it's almost like home...mom..I miss you so much...I wonder how everyone is back home.....*were her thoughts as she drifted into sleep*...~~...Sasha found herself on a trail..a familiar one...she heard footsteps but couldn't see who it was that was in front of her...breaking off into a run in hopes of locating the footsteps...following the trail up into the mountains....following the noise still she could now hear laughter...she followed it and found herself at the top...closer...she was close...holding out her hand she ran forward...and then...falling once more...the laughter changed into shrill screams of pain and terror...~~
..Gahh!..*Sasha shot up panting and covered in sweat*..Not this again..she thought*..
*rubbing her eyes a little she found herself in her room...but that dreadful feeling of fear still beat inside her..and on-top of that it was still dark and a little too quiet..which didn't help ease her mindset at the moment..she didn't want to be alone right now..so wrapping her blanket around her..she decided to creep out into the hallway in hopes of finding Shinta...she didn't have to look far since his room was three doors down from her own...she crept into the seemingly empty room and found Shinta propped up against the wall...trying hard not to make any noise she lay down on his lap...and fell asleep*

Shinta smiled and opened his eyes beneath concealing bangs. Thankfully those strong emotions had woken him before she entered the room...he was not someone who reacted well to being startled awake...
He pretended to stir as she cuddled up on his lap, having to suppress a chuckle at her movements. Hardly anyone, much less a trained swordsman, sleeps that deeply!
He couldn't help but sigh softly at the innocent and peaceful expression on her face as she drifted off to sleep.
Goodnight Sasha-dono...I will protect you...
Shifting the sword to his other shoulder, he placed one arm behind her head and leaned back into the land of dreams.

Shinta smiled as he awoke to a sleeping woman in his arms.
"It's been a while..." He teased mentally.
"Shinta!" Natsuko growled playfully.
Shinta laughed softly and rose with the girl in his arms. He unrolled the futon with his foot and placed her on it.
"Sleep well..." He murmured. The sun was just starting to rise above the horizon, highlighting the room in a pinkish glow.
After waiting a few moments to make sure she was still asleep, Shinta went in the bathroom to wash up. There was no time to do laundry though, so he decided not to change.
Walking silently over to the desk, he picked up the note he had written earlier and put it in his sleeve pocket. He slung his bag of belongings over his shoulder and went down to the kitchen.

~The morning light shone brightly throught the window and a light breeze carried a few sakura petals into the room..a single petal fell on the cheek of the girl that was sleeping there~
Sasha woke up that morning and found that she wasn't in her room, but resting on a futon in Shinta's room...she quickly sat up looking around blinking blearily, but the swordsman was nowhere to be found..
...He must be at the gate already..I should hurry...she thought quickly brushing off the covers..going to her own room she quickly changed into her traveling clothes..grabbed her cloak and bag..and pattered down the stairs towards the front gate...

Travis and Psyycho appeaired in an emty room. travis pointed to the closet and to the bed. "You can put your stuff in there and that's the bed, enjoy your rest. I hope you sleep well, I will want to ask you several questions tomorrow.

Being kind of in...sane I am seeing things that no...one should seeeee... -shakes- my life is painful... enough about me tell me about you. sweatdrop Travis bowed again.
