Kuoni winced when Aphrodite hit the tree. "Sorry." She watched Aphrodite feel the tree, then turn toward her. She yipped in suprise when she was lifted, trying to be as still as possible. She looked at the anthro and shook her head with a giggle when she was set onto the tree. "You didn't have to do that. I could have tried first. And a warning would have been nice. But thanks anyway."
She sat on the trunk, catching her own little break, and looked down. 'How many are in there?' She wondered.

"It's okay. It's better that I did hit the tree so I knew where it was." She said shaking her head, "Yeah but it was easier this way. Your welcome and I'll try and remember to warn you next time." She then climbed onto the tree and hopped down.

Kuoni sighed and hopped down to the other side. She held her head up and sniffed the air. "I think we're headed in the right direction." She said with a small nod. She brushed her side against Aphrodite's leg to show where she was. "Moving right along." She said, starting forward.

Aphrodite giggled and moved her leg. "That tickles." She said following Kuoni's voice, "I really don't know if we're going in the right direction....." She trailed off since she didn't want Kuoni to know that she hadn't be able to use her ability to "see" any colors of emotion for awhile.

Kuoni frowned slightly. What if she was just getting them more lost? Just then, she caught a scent. What was that? She paused and held her nose up. "Do you smell that?" It smelled like, baking. Food! They must be close!

Aphrodite looked down at Kuoni then raised her head. She then sniffed the air and nodded. "Yeah I smell it." She said taking another sniff, "Mmm it smells good. I wonder what it is." She continued walking heading in the direction of the smell. Of course a hole happened to be right in their path.

"It does smell good." Kuoni had her nose in the air, savoring the new delicious scent, and didn't notice the hole coming up until the last second. "Aphrodite! Stop!" She yelped, spinning and trying to grab Aphrodite before either of them could fall in.

Aphrodite froze her foot just about the hole. "What?" She asked stepping back, "What's wrong?" She was slightly confused as to why Kuoni had yelped suddenly.

Kuoni sighed in relief. "There's a big hole in the path. I'm sorry. The smell distracted me. I didn't see it until we were on it." She peeked into it. "It's kinda deep too." Shaking her head at herself, she nudged Aphrodite's leg. "We'll go around this way." She said, keeping herself between Aphrodite and the hole, leading them back onto the path.

Aphrodite nodded. "It's alright. I didn't fall in since you stopped me." She said with a small smile. She followed Kuoni around the hole and back onto the path. "I wonder if we're almost there...... and if we'll be able to eat whatever that is we're smelling."

Kuoni shook her head. She should have been paying better attention. "I hope we'll be able to eat it." She said, accompanied by a background of her tummy growling. She sighed longingly. "I hope it's close too." She sniffed the air again, returning her eyes immediatly back to the path. "I think we are close though. The scent is getting stronger." She picked up her pace slightly.

Aphrodite nodded and giggled. "I guess so if you're stomach is growling like that." She said picking up the pace. She closed her eyes and sniffed the air, it smelled so good and her mouth was watering. As she walked the woods gave way to a clearing that held the main house.

Kuoni noticed the trees thining. They really were getting closer! And then, there it was. She stopped as soon as it came into sight. She stood at the wood's edge and stared at the large house. It felt like so long ago... She sat back, he head sinking between her shoulders. "I... can't..." What if everyone blamed her for her family's troubles? She would feel their stares at her back. How could she be welcome here? But it wasn't her fault! It was that Vipin. And Mikey. And Fiorenza.
She had to find that guy first. Get him to find her that hiding place. She couldn't face everyone... couldn't risk seeing their faces... She ran away as a child, came back pregnant and alone. 'A model little girl for any daddy to be proud of.' She thought sarcasticly.

Aphrodite had continued walking but stopped when she no longer felt Kuoni's presence. "Kuoni? What's wrong?" She asked turning around. She stood there looking at Kuoni but was unable to see her.
((Kuoni needs to realize that no one is going to blame her except for Mikey. Everyone else is going to be overjoyed when/if they see her))

Kuoni kept her head down. "I don't think anyone else will be as accepting to me as you are." She said quietly. But still, she got up, padding slowly to Aphrodite's side. She realized she would rather risk getting a bunch of looks than her pups getting hurt, if what Aphrodite said about Mikey was true.
