Her fingers moved over each lightly, before settling on a simple 1911, her personal favorite. She checked it over to make sure everything was cool, even sliding the clip in and out. IF he looked a little askance, she'd smiled and wink. "You don't grow up in the Browning household without knowing how to shoot every projectile known to mankind."

Joseph didn't take as much care. He picked out something heavy, prefeably a revolver. What one he didn't care. Could be something A~E made or something he had collected.
"Of course not. I'd imagine you're a better shot that I am."
It wasn't a joke, it was a statment of fact.
"Once again, Ladies first." He grinned, "And once again, elemental gods, eh?"

She set up, and took careful aim, speaking all the while. "Leviathan. Diety or God of Water, one of the 5 prime elements. His daughter is my friend and an ex employer when I was hiding out from the world." Blam! Perfect shot. Dead center.
She smiled and motioned for his turn. "She had a meta R&D center, to help Gaians with meta abilities learn to control them. She has a company that is preparing to do a hostile takeover in order to get some of those items. She needs them gone before other Terrans are hurt."

When Joseph shot, well, he had the grace of a semi-truck and the technique of the deer in its headlights. Amazingly though, he somehow managed to hit the target.
"Involving gods is bad for business," He dropped the gun limp to his side, "But hostile takeovers that I'm not masterminding are also pretty damn bad. Especialy when they're planning on squirling away magical artifactics. Wouldn't want those falling in the wrong hands."
Read: Hands that aren't mine.
"Still. Where have I heard Leviathan before." Sure he had a few ideas, but it was always better to ask the questions rather than give the information.

"Well." She fired again, taking just a moment to perfect her aim. "The Leviathan also runs a Stadium and Arena out near Latent. A lot of metas congregate there, along with undead and other such people."
She motioned for him to take his turn and smiled, watching the lines of his body. She shook her head and moved up behind him, forgetting for a moment that they were discussing things professionally. She wrapped her arms around his, bracing his arms against her, her breasts pushed tightly into his back to reach his hands to show him how to stand properly.
"Like this." Her cheek against his shoulder to see a bit better. "Now fire."

"I knew I had heard the name before." Then suddenly, going into his second shot, there was something soft and warm against him. He had a feeling he knew who it was and what she was doing. Though he couldn't help thinking about how two particularly soft bits were lined up just right in this situation.
"It's no use trying to teach me anything," He looked over his shoulder, well, thems were close faces, "I can't do anything the right way."
As if to give a shining example he turned back and lined up his sight, stood perfectly and moved all the ways Sam was pusing him. Then he missed, badly. Loglicly, there was no possible way he could have missed that. Yet somehow he did. What was unclear is if he blew the shot on purpose, or if he just blew at shooting properly..

Sam pursed her lips as she looked up at him. "Let's try this again. Anyone can be taught, you just have to perserve. You're going to throw your shoulder out if you keep firing like that."
She pressed against him again, lining up his arms with his, her pelvis tucked slightly into his backside. "Now, move so the length is smooth. Line up your aim, just a fraction away from where you want. "Her voice was husky with the focus she was putting into this. "Now, squeeze the trigger."

"Couldn't you teach me how to fire two at once, no, three at once. That would be wicked cool," He clearly was not taking this seriously, "Or maybe how to fire a bazooka. Or drive a tank. You did say you grew up with weapons right?"
He steped out of the teacher literaly pressing a lesson, as well as other long term assets, on his back. Well, not a step out exactly. More of a turn out, with the turn being much more imediate than the step backwards. It left for some pleasant brushing.
"The arm I'm shooting with should also be in a sling. Not only have I not once learned how to shoot without throwing out my shoulder, I have no common sense." Cue grin.
"But anyway. That's what happend to me the last time I was in the Latent area, the undead came, I broke my arm, and work up some time later in Yaits City. Some vacation?"

"I could..." She paused, looking at him. He wasn't joking was he? She heard the laughter in his voice, and shook her head. He wasn't taking this seriously at all. She wasn't even sure why she was. It must be in the blood.
As he turned, her breast became unsmooshed with a pop that almost released it from the tight top part of the dress she was wearing. "Common sense is... Oooh.." She looked down, checked to make sure the girls were still secure before glancing back at him, with a slightly flush on her cheeks.
"..As I was saying, common sense is overrated. Instinct is much better. And your vacation sounds like mine." She stepped back, and picked up her own gun, stumbling as she walked. She looked down and saw that the straps that held her high heels on had come undone and turned away from Joseph to bend over and retye them, once again, as always, forgetting the view she was giving away. Because she bent over at the waist, not with the knees. He didn't get JUST an eyefull of her long gams in the white stockings, but also her purple lace underwear as well. Just the edge of it though.
She stood back up once it was secured and looked over her shoulder. "So, how is Yaits City this time of year?"

"Beautiful," Sure the city was to a degree but his atention was wandering, "The hospital gardens have these lovely purple flowers. Almost in full bloom too."
Ok, so his atention was very focused. Just in the wrong spot.
"Though I still haven't gotten much information," He put his gun back on the rack as he continued, "What place is being bought out, by who, when do you want the goods moved, and if you're feeling nice: why?"

"Purple flowers?" She thought about it for a moment, not catching his next words. "Too hot for lilies...maybe some versions of orchids. Did you know that Orchids were considered the perfect flower for lustful invitation, because it was believed to look like a woman's most secret of areas?"
Then she heard his question and smiled. "Levkit Research and Development Center in the kingdom of Terra. About an 8 hour drive from here. There have been several offers for it to be bought out, but the head researcher has been missing for over a year now. Miss Leviathan suspects foul play, and she is wanting to get Maesk's inventions away before anything else happens to the skelton crew that is left. As for when, as soon as possible..." She looked up at the next question.
"Why what?"

"Why are the inventions so important, and why can't they fall into the hands." He crossed his arms at the stomach, "I can't go in blind to the reprocussions, Sam."
"Or maybe I'm totaly wrong," The defensive cross ended. Replaced by him shrugging and giving a silly little grin, "Maybe you're just looking for normal help. In that case I'll roll up my sleeves, rent a cube van, and be over saturday."

She sighed, then grinned a little at her own stupidity. "I'm sorry, I'm so used to being obscure in business dealings. I can't mention specifics. But there are things there that can affect all of Gaia if they are weaponized. And Maersk has the capablities of doing that. And he's been gone with no trace from a vacation he took. He's eccentric, but absolutely brillant."
She walked over to Joseph, and took his shirt in her hands, clenching them tightly. "Look, I'm desperate, I'll admit that, but one of those inventions has the capablity to literally strip a metahuman of their abilities. That's the worse one. The rest..." She smoothed down the shirt, but her palms remained resting there as she looked up at him imploringly.
"are almost as bad. I will do anything to make sure they don't fall into the wrong hands."

And now they were very close, again. And Joseph knew that she was being utterly serrious, she was utterly desperate. And not in the 'oh Joseph, I turned you down in highschool but now you're rich' sense. And thus, Joseph looked just as serious.
"I want you to know this. I'm going to trust you on this lead, and pray it pays off for my company," He looked right into her, "Because if I get screwed, there's a chance I'll suddenly become those wrong hands you're worried about. "
"Think it through. You have my number, and you have Charlie's number." He paused, "I understand sometimes things go wrong. But if you march me between a rock and a hard place, well, I'd like to think that won't happen."
He smilled that same self mocking smile.
"Right?"

"Considering Charlie's sleeping in my bed, I don't think you'll have to worry about him being able to find me." She pulled away with Joseph with a jerk. "And this is why I hate business, considering that everyone is so concerned about themselves getting screwed over, they don't think about the little people, the ones these choices really affect."
She turned back and faced him, her face lighting up in anger, not at him, but at business in general. "If it comes to screwing you over or helping a small child or some other innocent, I can't guarantee anything, but seeing as how not screwing you over does help an innocent, I'd say you're fairly safe in that regard."
