Well, sometimes I slip on it, but I think they get a little into their activity once in a while because it gets on the windows, and then insects get trapped in it, including wasps that would otherwise sting me (so I'm thankful). Sometimes I like to take the hair from the drain and smear it on the window when I get bored, or put glue on my chin and make a beard.

Um, may I just say "ICK"? You need a hobby...LOL.

Shower, FTW xd

gonk But the c** always ends up stuck in the shower drain and traps pubic hair more easily... crying Baths are gross when you live with 5 brothers....

And Isis, there are lots of myths about Bloody Mary so I'm not surprised. I don't know anything about history, but it does bother me that anyone would abort because it's the wrong gender...

Yes, that bugs me too. And if it's done too much, it will come back to bite that country in the butt, a la China. You don't fool with Mother Nature.

As for Mary, it just irks me to see her emotional pain and complex motivations reduced to such a juvenile and inaccurate account.

Tch. My bad. Without verbal and vocal clues, it's hard to tell.

As for Bloody Mary, I really think you're confusing Mary Tudor with Elizabeth Bathory...

Maybe the writer did, but I was reading about Bloody Mary, not anyone named Elizabeth. They used the name Bloody Mary and they said that, bathing in blood was the reason she was called Bloody Mary, but I didn't believe it either way. ^ ^

Ah, maybe it was a work of fiction. The historical Bloody Mary (Queen Mary Tudor) got that title because of all the executions in her short reign. Countess Elizabeth Bathory, on the other hand, was a notorious serial killer who WAS rumored to bath in the blood of young women.

If a woman wants to abort a child because it's not the gender she wanted, maybe it's best that she do it. Being born into a sexist family like that isn't good. Anyone ever heard of Bloody Mary?

Yeah, she lived centuries ago. Fail. rolleyes

Heheh, good point. I was so bothered by the historical aspect that I completely overlooked that. Of course, it doesn't help that half the time my mind is stuck in the Tudor period... sweatdrop

Arigatou Isis!

also:

It isn't the person saying this that's stupid, but rather the "arguments" she's describing:

Quote:
i said i think the baby should be allowed to live as long as possible - b/c its life doesnt start when it is born - its actually alive inside the womb - and then i was accused of promoting child abuse.

i did not expect that accusation. i tried to explain that making a child sick would probably be child abuse - but keeping a sick child alive was not child abuse. i lost them on that one and was then accused of being a moron but my point is that the mother did not inflict the awful condition - so its not child abuse - unless of course keeping a chronically ill two year old alive is also considered child abuse.

Next thing you know they'll be suicide bombing the Special Olympics. rolleyes

Geez, that would make my mother a serious child abuser then, since I was chronically ill up until about age 6, when my immune system finally kicked in. I have to say that getting pneumonia four to five times a year really sucked...but would I have preferred being aborted to suffering through my first six years? That would be a no.

Dudegirl
"The fetus is a parasite!"
Noooo!
We should kill all the fetuses before they grow bigger, then move on to the mothers head and suck her brain out!
To be a parasite, an organism must be phylogenetically different from the host [a.k.a. it has to be a different species]. Thus a fetus is not a parasite.

Besides, it hardly acts like one.

"My intentions are not to kill the fetus, but rather, to remove the fetus."

Oh really?

Have you ever heard a woman say, "I had an abortion, and the baby lived! So I gave it up for adoption. It came out in several pieces, but they just glued it back together and gave it away! Yay!"

Yeah; um.

If abortion isn't supposed to kill but to "remove" the fetus, are you unfamiliar with the fact that a) the fetus is dependent on the mother for survival until the last trimester b) women often use abortion to hide the fact they're cheating or that they were raped or perhaps were forced to have it to hide the cheating of someone they slept with?

And if abortion isn't meant to kill the fetus, how come I've only heard one pro-choicer--I heart WatersMoon--talk about artificial wombs as a solution to the problem that is the convtraversy over abortion?

How come I've only heard WatersMoon talk about a solution, instead of settling for the slaughter of innocent beings on a daily basis to fix famine, poverty, and rape amongst women who have sex and get pregnant? Is there no other way to help it?

That's why during an abortion, they anesthetize the fetus, closely watching its vital signs, carefully dislodge it from the uterus, gently remove it through a dilated cervix, and lay it in a comfy bassinette. And give it a non-toxic rattle to play with.

God, that's such a stupid ******** argument. rolleyes Is Mme Zinny going to have to break out the clue-by-four?

I never heard of anyone talking about an artificial womb. That is a very interesting concept.
