(Greenpillard it's fine now play the game, and Gradon sorry but I came up with the idea of the enemy, therefore I feel it's not godmodding for me to come up with the idea of the enemy's death, you decided to help me out, just because you didn't get the kill doesn't mean there won't be much more to come)

Marcus wasn't sure what to think of these people, but he knew Seras from the Inn, and he had found her.

"What do you know of the message left at my home? No one has ever even seen my home before, but yet you come along and all of a sudden my peaceful world is turned upside down and I'm in a quest involving the Neraverine?" He said, his hand still resting on his blade. He had faced plenty of assassins before, he was an assassin by heart and history, so he knew the games they would play, and after further scrutiny of their clothing he judged them to be members of the brotherhood.

"By Sithis you must tell me." He said, glancing at the night sky through the canopy of the trees and silently wishing Talos his forgiveness.

((bit to many high ranks greenpillard. Your basicaly saying your the person in the game.... If we went through that I would be secound only to Chancelor Ocato.... Sooooo yeah tone down on the ranks and the power man. Oh and Jon I said you godmodded because you took over another persons chary man... and you didn't account for my attack eather....))

Grandon saw through the lie and glared at Marcus with new hate. He considered killing the man but then his Dark Sister would probably be angery. Instead of attacking with a blade gradon attacked with words, "Imperial swine what do you know of our Dread Father? Nothing. I know this game dog. Your playing with the best of this game so stop before you find yourself on the ground unable to move as I examine your innards."

"Oh and you wish to challenge me? A once Murderer in the brotherhood you claim as your own? The same 'brotherhood' that Lachance decided to cleanse, and leave me and every man and woman within the sanctuary for dead? Oh I know of the dread father, I know of his deeds, and you would do well not to threaten one who serves a god who's word carries much farther than that of the whispers and lies Sithis grants to all who follow him. I do not fear you, nor shall I ever, and if you could possibly think me a liar, then explain my knowledge of the secret well behind the sanctuary in Cheydinhal, or how I know once a week the Listener of the brotherhood journeys to Bravil to speak with the Lucky Old Lady? Who happens to be the night mother? Oh yes, I know very well the wiles and tricks of the Brotherhood, don't underestimate the Divine Crusader himself!" As Marcus' words drew to a crescendo Marcus drew his blade and took a step back.

"If you do so wish to challenge me to battle, then do so with some dignity and honor, you assassins are no match in one on one battle, you resort to poisons, magic, and small blades, I have the magic of the gods behind my hands!"

Marcus shook his head and put his sword back in its scabbard.

"However, if we are both working for a common good, and my enemy is yours, then I extend my hand towards friendship, as grudgingly as I must do so to one of the order that cast me and everyone I had grown to love away."

Grandon had been caught off guard and unprepaired for the surpiseing ammount of knowhow this Imperial had of the Brother hood, "You know things most Brotherhood members would be killed for if found out they knew them... You are lucky the High Honored Listoner killed the traitor already or I would finish off what he missed. Never the less, who is yor enemy?" Grandon pointedly pu;lled a flower from the ground and smelled it, nightshade.

Marcus paused, his hands dropped to his sides and he sighed a deep sigh, expressing his anxiety.

"Truly to ask who my enemy during these times is to ask a begger where their home is. The enemy is everywhere, preaching their rhetoric and hatred and spreading deceit and death wherever they go. I still have respect for some tenets of the Brotherhood, as I see death as just a cycle of life, and whether for good or ill purpose those who die shall be judged by one higher than ourselves, whether it be my heavenly father or my once dread father, many who seek the embrace of Sithis find what they were not looking for, as do many who seek the embrace of Talos, bless his will and divinity."

Marcus saw the look on Gradon's face, a flash of anger as he expressed doubt in the dread father, and a softening when he admitted the same of his own god. He knew not the purpose of this assassin mage and his beatiful cohort, but he felt they intended well for a greater purpose.

"I was blessed by Talos himself once, his warm hands touched the pauldrons on my shoulders, making them light as a feather, and spread throughout all my body. I was one with a god, and I felt his power, his greatness, but I felt his mortality as well, the one thing that connects the gods with us is that they truly are not immortal as we all believe, because yet there are ways to dispose of such great beings, and I knew staring into the eyes of Talos that somewhere deep within was life, and where there is life there will always be death to follow. This is why I seek to protect that which has offered my protection and sanctuary in the time of my greatest need, that is why I stand today offering the knowledge I hold of my once great former brotherhood without fear of death, because I know I shall only ascend to the aethra, and seek out death once more. It shall be an endless cycle for eons to come for me, as I've taken my seat alongside Talos as his voice and hand of justice without having to ascend, because I know that Talos is a true aedra of his word, and I am a man of mine, and forever shall I value the gift that he gave me, and I know I would no longer have this gift if I were to stand here and speak so openly with the enemies of Talos, therefore I offer you my blade and assistance in seeking out she who cannot be found, and my devotion as well. I may have been ambushed and killed back there, or I may have disposed of him easily, who would've known the outcome hadn't you and...her...intervened."

And Marcus stared at Seras, her eyes peirced into his heart yet again, and he knew well the dark feeling that was overcoming his purity, his celibacy, his life, he knew well the corruption that would destroy all he stood for if he let himself love this mysterious woman.

"And I offer my blade to her as well...I forever owe her a debt of..."

Something hit Marcus in the side of the neck, he groaned and fell to his side, the night became day as all around him spells began to spring from the hands of magic users, Marcus dimly made out the shapes of Seras and Gradon battling these bandits. They wore beautifully adorned armor of Elven make, sturdy as dwarven armor but light as mithril. They sprang from the trees and the bushes and seemingly from nowhere as if phantoms in some hellish nightmare. By the time the tranquilizer kicked fully in and Marcus's retinal signals to his brain began to fade he made out one chilling visage of bloodstained and sharpened teeth, and a chuckling Lachance, born of treachery, stood over Seras with a blade raised above his head, claiming her a traitor, Marcus tried to stand, but by the time he reached his knees he had lost all consciousness, and fell to the soft bedded floor of the great forest and slept a deep and peaceful sleep.

OoC: Sorry, I'm kinda behind and I just skimmed whats been going on.
Arvel was looking through the forest for ingredients to his poison was preparing for one of the assassin's linked to a murder he had been investigating. He saw two men and a women suddenly attacked by Dark Brotherhood agents. One man was down and a dark robed figure had his blade raised, ready to kill. In a flash, Arvel had drawn his bow and fired 5 flaming arrows directly at the figure, only to quickly draw his blade and charge them head on, ready to die in order to save the innocent, or so he had inferred about the man he had just saved.
He then turned and faced two other robed figures who had been arguing, glaring, and yelling at the man unconcious man on the ground. "You two! I am placing you under arrest in the name of the empire. This can be solved the peaceful way, or the violent way. Your choice."

Marcus stood, but suddenly the world around him began to spin, everything began to fall apart, as if the world were comprised of little beads, he could see his hands falling into the wind as if they were dust, he looked and saw Seras and Gradon in the same state, something was happening to them, and then everything went black again.

The two Arvel was looking at seemed dazed. He began to feel it as well. He quickly whipped out the mysterious letter he had recieved. "Dammit." He crumpled to the ground and everything went black.

"Such people can be annoying"Came the voice of a Mage as well the sound of pages being flicked. A Mage in red silk robes and hood stood over at a table closing a book and turning to face Marcus, Seras and Gradon"You are luckly that I saved you just in time".
PostPosted: Mon Dec 17, 2007 8:40 pm

Arvel got up. "Just who in the blazes are you? Are you responsible for this letter? And saved them? Was that Lachance I just shot at with my arrows?"

"Yes, but the Mage there has been saved only to go to jail for being a traitor to the mages guild and if it was up to me I would of let him die instead of saving his perfetic life"Serge said sliding on a enchanted ring.
