Austin smiled as Kia slept, then continued on to lightly play his guitar. Eventually, he became sleepy, and fell to his bed with a light thump. He wrapped his arm around his guitar, and pulled the sleeping bag over himself to fall into slumber.
RING. RING RING. Austin's phone set off at 8 that morning, causing austin to stir to conciousness. He quietly turned off his phone, then placed his guitar back up on the rack. He gathered his things, dressing for the day ahead. He moved quietly to Kia's bed, then lightly placed a hand on Kia's arm to wake her. He smiled slightly when he noted her body warmth, which meant she'd slept well. "Kia...Kia. Wake up. Time to get going." He very lightly shook her arm to wake her, hoping he wasn't being too brave by touching her arm.

Groaning slightly, Kia rolled over and in one lighting fast movement gripped Austin by his shirt, lifting him off the ground slightly. She held Austin like this for a few moments, unaware that she was doing so until she opened her eyes slightly and glanced up.
"Oh...it's you."
Kia immediately released her hold and sat up, yawning and rubbing her eyes.

Unaffected by the deathgrip Kia'd just employed on him, he smiled. "Morning, Kia. You sleep okay after the second time?" Austin pulled up his sit-and-spin chair, opening and closing a few documents on his computer before signing off and shutting down his computer. He turned back around to face Kia, still smiling. "If not, you can sleep in the car on the way there. I'll be careful not to wake you up, if i can. Mhmm."

Kia was already dressing by the time he turned around to face her again. She was just pulling her top over her head as she now turned to face him while he spoke.
"I'd probably sleep in the car regardless. But I'm more concerned about food right now."

"Oh, Okay. Unfornately, i have a matter to attend to regarding transportation, so i'll have to miss out on breakfast. I'm sorry, Kia, but you'll have to eat alone this time. I'm taking the cases down to put them in the car and such, and i'll be at the entrance of the school when you're ready to go. okay?" Austin was picking up his case, as well as Kia's while he headed towards the door. "Just follow your nose and remember which way i led you before, and you'll make it. I'm sure of it." And with that, he disappeared through the doorway.

Kia blinked then shrugged as she watched Austin fly out the door with the luggage. Quite the efficient one, he was. And it saved her some trouble too.
"So we're on our way. I wonder what his family is like."
After dressing and giving herself a final check in her mirror, she scampered away to the dining hall to gorge herself on the warm breakfast foods available.

Austin opened the door to his room happily, humming a tune. He'd reached the dorm first because he knew the way better than kia did. He flipped on the lightswitch, expecting to see large piles of dust all over the place.
What he saw instead was a disaster zone. His room was wrecked, every bit of it. His bed, Kia's bed. His desk. His window. His wall safe where he kept his painting..All of it was destroyed. and his painting was gone, too.
"When i find out who did this, theyre gonna wish they HADN'T decided to take an interest in Monet." Austin clenched his fist tightly. He walked into the center of the wreckage, already making a damage report in his head. Luckily, Kia's plant had remained unharmed. Which was ironic, in it's own way.

Kia reached the room shortly after Austin had, her arrival delayed by her inevitable pit stop at the dining hall. Upon seeing the room in it's ramshackle condition, she dropped her bags and immediately balled her hands into fists.
Whoever had done this had taken great pleasure in laying everything to ruin. All her belongings were scattered about on the ground after apparently being yanked from where they were stored.
And her plant...it was unharmed for some reason.
Kia immediately rushed over to it and picked it up, inspecting it for a few moments to make sure it was okay.
"...Who could have done this, Austin?"

The answer was obvious. "The same person who wrecked the room next door. My guess is the person got the wrong room number the first time around, then came back and gave it a second shot after failing." Austin pulled out one of his gloves, slipping it on. The Array built into the palm glowed slightly. "If anything is missing, be sure and let me know." Austin then commenced to transmuting everything back together. He'd even managed to remove a minimal amount of unnescessary wood from Kia's bed, and combined it with his cot to make an actual bedframe. For 10 seconds, at least. The wood was plywood and the knots from Kia's bed. Meaning they were both brittle, and it came apart rather easily. "Great. No cot now.." Austin mumbled slightly as he fixed the window, then the safe. The room looked mostly clean at this point, besides the scattered clothing.

Kia sighed and set her plant down carefully where it had previously remained unharmed before kneeling down and gathering her scattered articles of clothing. When she was finished, she did note that a few articles of her clothing went unaccounted for.
What she did have left, she folded up neatly and set them up in a pile.
"Do you have any idea who could have done this, Austin?"

"I can only guess that it's the handywork of a natural thief. I used to steal alot when i was a child, for the thrill. Then when it became incorporated into ninjitsu, it became one of my greatest subjects. You see, the thief made it look like a ramshackle burglary made by some regular thief. But you see, a regular burglar is too worried about other people hearing him. So he wouldn't be breaking things to find something precious. A natural, or expert thief, would break things as a sign of defiance. He's taunting us by saying we have a cruddy security system that he can overcome to the point of wrecking our room, and STILL get away with stealing something. It's very psychological indeed.." It almost made absolutely NO sense if you'd never studied investigations like he had. And Austin didn't expect Kia to understand it, so he simply went on. "I have an idea who mightve done it..There's an infamous thief out there, whos a mere child..He's listed in the bingo book for stealing the scrolls from the Kage's personal collection. He could've pulled this off. But i have no way of finding him, and the thing he stole from me wasn't rightfully mine to begin with. So I'm gonna let it go. If you want, i'll pay to replace lost clothing." Austin took a restful seat on the bed, sighing.

Kia let out another sigh of her own and sat down cross legged, resting her elbow on her knee and her chin in the upturned palm.
"That guy sounds like bad news. Can't you report this or something? It's not reassuring to know that someone like that is roaming around. The fact that he targets you as well doesn't really help."

"He won't come back. assuming it's a he..They won't be back. they only came for the painting."
Austin cracked his back by pushing out his spine. "Anyway. It's best not to worry if there's no threat. If the problem pops up again, we'll deal with it. Till then, i think we should just relax..."

"I guess you're right, Austin. You seem to know enough on the subject to say that. This still pretty much blows, though."
Laying back gently, Kia stared at the ceiling and stretched her legs out before herself with a noisy groan.
"I wonder why the plant was unharmed. I would think it practically screams out to be vandalized."

"I don't know myself. Some thieves have codes that they abide by..I guess not killing plants was one. Or maybe you got lucky? either way, it's the only plus to this situation. So i'm thankful for it." Austin collapsed quietly, falling back on the bed to rest. He plucked a pillow from beside him shortly after, and playfully flipped it onto Kia's head. He pulled the second pillow out, then laid his head down on top of it with a playful, relaxed smile.
