Black Jack had his hands full with a slew of patients. A slew that included Kire and Lohm. He had been trying to separate the two for a while now, and had finally just given up. They'd found common ground, and it was unlikely that they were going to stop chattering for even a moment. He glanced wistfully off towards where he knew Talon would be. After last time, he had 'bothered' the incubus when he was busy, he knew better not to go into the dungeon to say hi. Especially since he knew what went on down there once upon a time. Shuddering, he returned to sewing up young Peace's shoulder. After that, he let the youngling rest, and slipped back out into the waiting room to find a seat, and relax. There weren't any more, and he had his hands more than tied with the five that WERE in there. He needed a break, and he was going to take one. ..... That is until the scream jolted him out of thought, and caused him to come flying into the main room, eyes wide and scanning. When he saw the hybrid in the rafters, his heart sank, and his head drooped. An ear on the coon's head twitched, but it was the only outward way he was showing any emotion. Sure, he knew about the sniper... but....
"What happened here?"

Jervain was not the kind of hybrid to sit around and do nothing when a killer was on the loose [other than himself]. He had taken his Mingan, and locked BOTH of them in a room upstairs, far away from the noise and the pain of having to see one of your own dead and swinging. He knew from the screams that he was right - the Sniper had struck again. And this time, it was right IN the sanctuary. Jer hated to admit it, but... he was scared. Scared enough that his eyes were tight shut, and he was holding on Min as though he were a scared child. He didn't want to do nothing - but then again, he feared Death more than anything else in the world...

Kire eyed the half-healed gash in his right arm, and shrugged. It was a superficial thing, and would heal completely within a couple days. He was just in Black Jack's neck of the woods for a checkup. But while here, he had met the most remarkable hybrid. The meerkat Lohm soon warmed right up to him, and the were fast friends. He had been discussing the finer points of Gothic music when they both heard the scream. The bat's ears flattened against his head at the sound, and he ducked his head under one wing, only brought back to his senses by Lohm's gentle shaking of his shoulder. Fear and Kire did NOT mix. After a few moments, the panic cleared, and he was able to think. And what he thought was that the two of them [Lohm and himself] ought to lay as low as possible, and hope to the gods that the Sniper did not choose one of them as his next victim.

Lohm had made a friend in Kire, and he intended to keep it that way. They had much in common, and there was plenty of time to talk and hash things out between them. Lohm himself was in Black Jack's clinic for a small infection that had crept into a gash on his lower-back. It had been itching for days, and he had come here to see if BJ had some creme for it. But imagine his surprise when he ran into a bat-hybrid named Kire instead! He had stuck around for this long, because he found the boy interesting. But his senses tensed immediately when he heard - and felt - the scream from below. He knew something bad had happened, and by looking into Kire's eyes, he knew the other hybrid felt the same way. If they were locked in here, then there was a good chance that one or both of them might fall prey to the sniper. And this scared him no end.

Peter was not pleased with the fact that his little experiments had gone awry. But he was even more concerned with the fact that Jin hadn't come home, and there was apparently a Sniper loose on the premises. Jin was his one true prize, his precious Jewel. If anything happened to him, he'd probably go insane. But if he wasn't home, that just meant that he hadn't gotten back yet, and PROBABLY meant that he was safe from the Sniper, if the hybrid center was the only one under target. He felt the scream coming before he heard it, and had already started to rush downstairs. Seeing what he saw almost made him lose his lunch. Again! How many times did this monster have to kill before he was satisfied in his lust for blood!? He had known Severus, if only by sight. It was a blow to him just watching the body swing, and he had to turn away. As a doctor, he was a total failure - his kind heart made it hard to view things with a critical, clinical eye, and not an emotional one.
"Good Gods..... Poor Sev..."

Sol had been hovering over Hawke for the past six or seven days, constantly checking his pulse, trying to keep him comfortable and content. Since last week, his caring streak had been presenting itself, and he was not exactly the most caring of individuals - usually.
"Don't eat that... here... I have something else for you back in my room."
He softly scolded his lover, and batted at his paw, taking a napkin, and handing it to him. He wasn't going to go so far as to wipe his face... though he did sneak a cheek-lick when the other hybrid wasn't looking. Just what had gotten into Sol all of a sudden? Why was he so cheerful? Who knew... He heard the scream about the same time Hawke did. Sol's immediate reaction was to lock and bar the door to the room both of them were in. His eyes narrowed as he glanced at the door.
"Stay here, Hawke... I'm going to check it out..."

Mingan didn't enjoy being trapped in a room. Not that the room was small... all of the hotel like rooms at the Sanctuary were quite big. Suite like. But it wasn't enough space for the one eyed wolf... He needed to run... He was restless. He needed to do something. And the windows taunted him, showing him the world outside that, thanks to Jervain, he wasn't allowed to be in. How long had he been in this room? Only a few hours... But it felt like eternity...
He glanced at Jervain, thinking he might be asleep, then tried to squirm out of his grasp.

"I'm hungry! I'll eat whatever I want!" Hawke huffed angrily. He looked like he wanted to chuck a fit ((*stole that from Eduke, because that phrase amuses the hell out of me*)). He settled for kicking his legs on the bed for a few moments. Until he heard the scream. He froze and looked over at the door, his eyes wide, then at Sol. "Don't you dare go out there!" he cried, sitting up on the bed. "You're staying right here!"

Artemus looked around, a heaviness weighing upon him. "We... we should go and see what happened at least..." He looked up at Desmond, eyes full of uncertainty. "Right?"

Desmond held the other agaisnt him, keeping close, oh how he couldn't dare leave him be for longer then two seconds. " I suppsoe so.... but what if there are traps near by?" he said softly.

Round 4 is Over!
There wasn't much time for the hybrids to recover from the discovery of the hanging body to what happened next. And in that short time span, no one noticed that one hybrid seemed to disappear... No one noticed at all.
Talon made another brief appearance. Iruka didn't stand a chance, despite his screaming and flailing and desperate attempts to fend him off. He was brought into the Dungeon.
A few hours later, the hybrids all decided to have a meal together. Several of them set about cooking, while others set the tables and such. The dinner was served, and the hybrids paid their respects to the ones who had passed before their time. And still, no one noticed one was missing.
"Ugh," said one hybrid. "I had a hair in my mouth from the food!"
"It must've fallen in. I'm sorry."
"Wait... I have one too..."
"Me too."
"Yeah, so do I."
The hybrids searched their meals, finding more and more hair until one of them shrieked.
"Oh Gods! There's a finger in mine!"
This started quite a panic.
"Wait! Where's Kire?!"
...
The hybrids looked at their food... Several felt sick and left quickly to throw up. Two fainted.
Some of them didn't let the food go to waste.
~*~*~
Who saw that coming? C'mon, who did? :3
Kire was sniped. Could it be considered sniping anymore? O.o Our sniper's getting creative.
Iruka was voted off.
Is the sniper a warm blooded or cold-blooded breed of animal? Technically warm. But a cold hearted killer.
~*~*~
Everyone knows the drill by now, or they should! I'm not going to go hunting you down if you have a secret role!
Round 5: Hunger Strike begins now! It ends Friday, May 11th at 9pm EST.

Artemus shuddered and looked around the room blankly. "It'll be better than sitting here waiting to be killed," he murmured. His tail twitched and curled around Desmond, showing his own fright at leaving.

Jervain was at once both extremely scared, and more than a little protective of Min now. He let him wander wherever he liked, but kept him in sight at all times. If he lost his mate.... Well, it would be safe to say that the mixes would need a new alpha. He'd follow Min. Even into death.
"Don't walk ahead so fast! I can't keep up!"
It was sounding more like MIN was the master right now. Fear does strange things to thoughts and actions...

Sol was jerked back halfway by Hawke, and looked behind him, worried.
"Alright... I'll stay with you... but you have to promise me you won't try and leave... please?"
His eyes met his mate's, and they were fiercely protective - and full of love for the hybrid before him.
"If I lost you, I....." he paused. "I'd follow you!"

(( Aaron~ In the post before you stated that they were locked in a room together... Mingan isn't wandering anywhere.. My post even said he was just laying on the bed, though a bit restless. ))
That comment made Hawke's eyes harden. He glared at Sol angrily. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?!" he yelled. "Are you that bloody ... STUPID?! We have children! You're just going to leave them alone?!" He spun around, his back to Sol, pissed.
