Fiara was glad to hear that there wasn't going to be more numa experimenting, her fiery fiasco was bad enough, they didn't need poisonous coatl bites to tend and she didn't even know if there would be a medicine to treat such venom.
When Ashe let her hand free Fiara let it hang in the air, she thought to herself that she'd never seen a numa go quite that color before, "A-Ashe? I...?" She didn't know what to say, what she was going to say. "What?" She had heard Ashe's hushed words clearly enough, but she didn't understand in the least what they meant.
"Nothings wrong, is it?" With the sticky paw she wiped the juice from her chin, hyper aware of what was going on around her but clueless as to the emotions battling within her best friend. With her fiery paw on the ground between them Fi moved closer to Ashe, a night wind rushed through the trees and she was aware that is was past dusk now, above them stars began to wink into existence for another night.

Ashe wouldn't look at Fiara, her face still splashed crimson. What was wrong with her? She shook her head, calming herself. Breathing deeply, she let it out in a long breath, "I'm kweh fine." She replied finally. Smiling weakily at her friend. "I don't know what kweh came over me. Do you think I might kweh be getting ssssick?" She had to be, it was the only explanation for why she was acting like this.
"I'm sssorry for kweh acting thisss way, I don't know what'sss kweh wrong with me." She glanced at her friend, framed in the last fading lights of the sun. Yellow eyes instantly transferred away, but the image was still burned into her mind.
She shook her head, crimson once again. "What the kweh hell?" She whispered, staring at her paws, "I'm sssick. That'sss kweh it. Hasss to be." With another deep breath she stood, limes forgotten on the ground. "S-ssshall we kweh go? I think we sssshould kweh get home sssoon." So I can go home and figure this whole thing out.

"Maybe, have you not been feeling well?" Fiara leaned forward to place the back of her paw against Ashe's forehead to check, as her own dads did, for fever, but she hesitated and lost the chance.
Fiara looked slightly confused, more concerned as Ashe looked at her and then away. "Don't be sorry, not at all, you can't help it if you're feeling poorly." She missed what Ashe whispered next but stood, "Yes, I'll walk with you, unless you feel up to flying, so that I know you'll get home safely." She still had some of the fruits in the crook of her arm, but forgot about gathering more in her haste.

Ashe shook her head, "No, I kweh don't know. I wassss feeling fine a kweh while ago." Fiara's close presence did nothing to help the situation a bit.
She shook her head, smiling wanly, "It'sss nothing, kweh, I'm fine." A sigh, well, this had turned into a delightful disaster, hadn't it? Her smile became grim. All of this friendly bonding and then she apparently was becoming ill. Lovely. She shook her head, light green hair pressing into her face, "I....I hate flying." She admited softly, "I jussst, don't kweh like it."
She ran a paw through her hair anxiously and shook her head. She couldn't believe any of this had happened.

Unaware that it was her presence that was making Ashe feel sick Fiara stayed close to her with the intention of catching her green and red friend if the need arose.
"Maybe it was something you ate? A bad lime?" Fiara had once eaten a bad candied fish as a pup and it was not a happy experience. "Oh that's fine, that's fine, I'll walk with you. We'll get you home and you can lay down." Fiara thought Ashe looked like she might lose her lunch, then Fiara had the thought that maybe it was some kind of reaction to the burn, shock or something, she didn't know too much about first aid. After I get her home I'll go and get some burn relief plant right away.

Contrary to what Fiara seemedto assume, Ashe wasn't feeling physically ill, at least, not because of any virus or bacteria that would do so.
Ashe smiled wanly, shaking her head, "There issss kweh no sssuch thing asss a bad kweh lime, Fiara," She informed her friend, amused despite the situation, "All kweh lime'ss are good to eat." She sighed, "Besssidesss sssince kweh when have you ever sssseen another kweh numa sssick?" She shook her head, already regretting the stupid question.
"Nah, I'll be kweh fine," She tried to assure her friend, one paw over her face, eyes closed, "I jussst need to kweh be able to think." She really needed to. For some reason, right now it took all she had to concentrate on something other than her friend. It was going to be difficult getting home tonight.

"Sorry I didn't... I'll hush." Still staying close to Ashe but far enough away that they didn't touch when they walked. She was thinking of her Uncle, no she had not seen him sick but he was dead wasn't he? Maybe he did just die of old age but Fiara never thought so.
"Umm which way is it to your home?" Fiara stopped walking and sweated, "That is if you don't mind me coming with you tonight."

Ashe shook her head, smiling and waving a hand dismissively, "No, no! It's fine! Nothing to worry about." She laughed sheepishly, "I probably just have a fever or something, I feel a bit loopy." She shook her head, running a paw through her hair nervously, heart pounding. Was she really sick? What was wrong with her anyway? She hoped it wasn't contagious; she wouldn't be able to live with herself if she made Fiara sick.
"My home?" She blinked at her friend blankly for a moment, one eye covered with both paw and hair, "....Ah! Sorry! I can't believe I'm so out of it." She laughed again, crimson once more. "It's..." She pointed to the East, "That way, I think."
"No, of course I don't mind you, Fiara," She chided gently, giving her friend a soft smile, "It wouldn't be fun going home without you, would it?"

"If you're sure..." Fiara was in no position to push the subject, though she was not at all worried about getting sick herself, her only concern for the moment was getting Ashe home swiftly and safely. Fi could carry Ashe, she was sure, if the need arose, but one handed? That she wasn't so sure of and so she wanted to go quickly so that if Ashe began to feel worse or faint she wouldn't have to put her friend in danger to help her.
Fiara put her worries aside for the moment and moved one step closer to feel Ashe's forehead with the back of her left paw, without hesitating. She wanted to know for sure if her friend was feverish or not. "Hmm. You feel a little hot as far as I can tell, but if you start to feel worse or faint, let me know. I think we should head to your home straight away." She looked east where the sky was already very dark and least they had a light with them to show the way. "No, I guess it might not be, it's getting dark fast." She smiled back, she was teasing herself in an attempt to lighted the mood.

Ashe chuckled softly, shaking her head, "Don't kweh worry, Fiara," She assured her friend, smiling, "i'll be kweh fine. It'sss probably jussst a kweh fever or ssssomething. Nothing to kweh worry esssspecially about." She waved a paw dismissively. She didn't like worrying her friend.
"Wha...?" She squeaked in surprise. Yellow eyes immediately moved upward to see what her friend was doing, but they lacked the ability to see much. Her face darkened once more. Darnit.
"Oh..." She laughed softly, eyes half-lidded, "Really? I kweh don't know." She shrugged once and glanced around. She was touched by her friends concern for her, but she'd rather die than let her friend help her too much. That would be far too embarrassing.
Ashe blinked numbly at her friend before turning her face to the sky. It was getting darker. Had time really passed that quickly? It must have, because the sun was setting. Lord, she hoped that wasn't just some delusion.
She giggled suddenly, "Yesss, we'd kweh better get going. I might losssse kweh you easssily. You looks jussst kweh like the sssky at night." She pointed out, rubbing her forehead gently. She needed to get home and into bed. Her illness was getting rather annoying.

"I can't help but worry, Ash." Fiara looked down in embarrassment for a moment, if she could stop her worrying, if it was that easy, it would solve a lot of her problems.
A smile bubbled over into a giggle, "Yea I can be a shooting across the sky like a comet. I could stay by your side, for always." Fi was thinking of a lovely song that she'd heard, she had a far away look in her eyes as she said it remembering the lyrics and translation halfway in her head. She looked over at Ashe with a grin and took her hand. "Com'on, let's get going, you're looking redder and redder."

Ashe stuck her tongue out at her friend, smiling, "Nyaaah, well, I need to kweh make you ssstop then, don't I?" She pointed out blearily, feeling...floaty; how odd.
Ashe shook her head, laughing softly, "Then I'd kweh never catch you, huh?" She giggled, "If you fell we'd both get hurt." She shrugged helplessly, "Not that knowing sssuch would kweh ssstop me." She added softly. She blinked in surprise at her friends words, feeling her face only grow darker, "Nyaaah~" She hissed softly, "Don't sssay sssuch kweh thingsss," She warned softly, smiling, "My fevered kweh brain might actually think that you want ssssomething kweh more than friendssship."
Fiara's clasping of her green paw and next words made Ashe mumble, "Yeah and you kweh aren't doing much to help that," but she allowed herself to be led in the direction of her home.

"How would you go about making me?" Fiara said, she was playing at being a little stubborn and returned the shown tongue with a raspberry.
"Oh, that's not what I meant~" Fi began but stopped short, more than friendship? She was unsure what Ashe meant by that, but she had an idea. "Oh, but I do Ashe, I want to be your very best friend, someone you can lean on and count on and everything." It was the truth but it sounded, somehow, not quite right, when she spoke the words.
Fi paused and then explained as best she could, "There is a song that I heard and liked and when I was told what it meant, I don't quite remember all the words, but that was one of the lines." Still somehow it didn't seem just right and Fiara didn't catch all of what Ashe mumbled.

Ashe gave her a stern look--promptly ruined by her almost-asleep look, "Oh, husssh kweh you," She warbled softly, waggling a green finger at her friend, "I can ssstop you if I kweh want to."
Ashe shrugged, "Eh, it'sss kweh what I heard and though of, it'sss," She rubbed her eyes, "Jussssst sssssomething..." Her lisp became much more pronounced when she was tired or stressed. She belatedly wondered if Fiara would be able to understand her by the time she reached her home.
Ashe's ears twitched forward for a moment and she glanced at her friend strangely--at least until Fiara finished her sentence. "....Oh," She giggled softly, shaking her head, "Fiara...." Another head-shake, "Sssssometimessss you kweh really confussse me."
An innocent head-tilt, "A sssong?" She hissed softly, demeanor suddenly child-like, "Aw, if you kweh remember what it wasss, will you kweh let me hear it sssomeday?" She smiled at her friend blearily.

Fiara relented, "You would." Her eyes were shadowed, there was more to say but she held it in, no more teasing her tired friend, Ashe was becoming more worn by the minute, and Fiara didn't understand why.
"I don't mean to be confusing," Fi admitted as they continued to walk, "I'm sorry. I was thinking that, I've got this hand," Fi held it out in front of them and waggled her fingers, still sometimes in awe of the flame. "I can't turn it off and it stands out, I'd be hard to lose sight of, even if I was against the night time sky, but then from that high up maybe, maybe I would disappear but my fire could still be seen, it would appear as brightness moving across blackness, like a comet," Here her voice dropped, she didn't have confidence in her voice, "that's where the song comes in, the part I remember. I can't sing it, it's sung powerfully and in another language and I would really mess it up." Fiara looked at the honest smile on Ashe's face and was embarrassed.
