My answer is allways to play hard-to-get, it worked for me, so i just tell everyone to. This is how I see it, you have 2 options, be very bold, or just dont to anything and flirt. The latter worked for me, I just gave up and just kept flirting and it all worked out.

We had some serious band-lationships back in high school. We only called them band-lationships though if the couple met because they were both in band and the relationship didn't (or probably wouldn't) last more than about 2 months. We had two cymbal players that we called the ding-ding girls that would hop from band-lationship to band-lationship. They were also called the slut-line (drum-line... slut-line) even though they weren't really that slutty, but it did make them the butt of a lot of those kinds of jokes.

I think its because my best friend has been really depressed and that I am in the middle of a relationship. When I'm with a guy my head gets all foggy. So just ignore what I say, I'm just all bubbly. Me and the trombone, boo-yeah. (man, brass players can kiss, Its a "thats nice, can I have my gum back please?" kind of kiss)

There aren't any band-lationships within my band (stage band) at the moment, but the band is part of a unit of state representative bands, and most people are in more than one of them (i.e. in the stage band and marching band -like me- or in the wind ensemble and the jazz band, etc), so in the network, there are many, many band-lationships...I find it so hard to keep track of. eek
I can't say I've been in any myself...although there are certain sax players I have my eye on wink
