Well, if it starts at 6 AM Friday, and it runs for 50 hours, then the new episode starts about 8:30 AM on Sunday?
Although that doesn't sound quite right, something tells me it won't run straight through the episodes. They'll probably stop late at night, then start back up again early morning... By the time they're done maybe the episode will come on later on Sunday?
But that's just a guess. Eh, I'll have to look at the schedule online when the time comes... what a pain. gonk

akamai_hi For those of you who watch the dub, I just saw a commercial that said there's going to be a three day marathon of the first 100 episodes of Naruto on Cartoon Network. It starts on August 17th at 6:00 AM (EST). Then a new episode (I'm guessing is 101) will be aired as the final marathon episode.
Also, I cannot wait for episode 109 to be dubbed! They better not have screwed it up. razz I actually heard about that. But not the the 100 episode showing. I remember watching Adult Swim and they said something about a marathon, ending with the season finale :s No clue.

According to Kate, they've already recorded Episode 109. <33333 But she didn't have any comments on it.
They're somewhere around 115 now.
By the way, regarding that marathon coming up..
SaiyanIsland.com On Friday, August 17 at 6:00 AM Cartoon Network begin their one hundred episode Naruto marathon - The Naruto Hundo! That's correct! All 99 episodes of Naruto that have aired thus far will be included in the marathon, finished off with the brand new 100th episode! Here is the breakdown. Episodes 01-34 on Fri., August 17: 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM Episodes 35-68 on Sat., August 18: 6:00 AM to 11:00PM Episodes 69-100 on Sun. August 19: 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM

Mmm. I don't really like that setup, but whatever.
Not that I want them to show Naruto without breaks -- as that's even worse -- but... instead of only showing one or two new episodes, why don't they show all the new episodes they have recorded already, then take a break for a week or so and make more?
Probably easier than it sounds, but if what Kairi relayed to us is true not that I doubt you Kairi!, then, in my opinion, it would make more fans happy.

I think the purpose might be to get more veiwers?
But thanks for the info, Kairi. Now I know the new episode starts at 9:30. Okay... *can't wait until 101*

At first, I thought they might not've translated 101, seeing as it's mostly filler.
Because I also had the idea that they weren't going to do the fillers. But I'm hearing so many different things, I don't know what to think anymore.
Maybe they might just do some fillers?
But 101 is going to be on my recordings list... FOREVER. <3

They BETTER dub 101. Dx Besides, alot of the recent episodes are fillers, and I don't see a reason for them not to. Although, I've been thinking it would be cool if they showed the filler and shippuuden episodes at the same time. Because then, those who don't want to see the fillers, can watch Shippuuden, and the company won't lose viewers. And maybe more people will be willing to watch the filler episodes more than they would otherwise, because they aren't waiting years and years for the new episodes, instead of the bad filler ones.
If that makes any sense...

They're going to dub 101. I know it. It said in my Shonen Jump issue. xD
That would make sense, actually. But it might get complicated, in the sense of recordings, and conflicting with the VA's schedules. Not to mention getting the poor younger fans/fans who don't read Japanese manga scantlations horribly confused.

I can't really say anything about schedules and other recording issues, since I have no idea how that all works about. But you're right on that last part. It just seems to me, when the fillers began in Japan, EVERYONE knew they were fillers. I guess it's all just a matter of getting the word around?

I felt bad for Yuri. He has to keep re-adjusting to Sasuke's voice. ^^;
And it's only gonna get worse. T__T;;
