"well I don't think i'm one for backstabbing and i'm certainly not very dangerous, though i'm not going to say that I think i'm trustworthy...a couple of people think so...but trust is built and earned to asked for and given" Hyde said, stopping and turning to look at Ferox. He liked the drow, he was rather friendly, considering how most drow were it was a pleasant surprise.

"I rather like your theorys on trust, I must admit." He admitted, coming to a stop as Hyde did. "It's something I disagree with most drow on. It's easier to get something done if you know you and the person you're working -with- have at the -least- the same goal. Even if you part ways after, more is accomplished if you extend trust even breifly..." Instead, to think about it from the outside, the Drow were a nest of blind spider hatchlings, trapped and starving, they devoured each other instead of realizing that cooperative effort would free them all to become stronger.

"well, I have alot of time to analyis(sp) and group, as a healer it's in the job description" Hyde commented softly, sipping his drink again. He looked up at Feroz and grinned again. The drink did offset him a little.
"maybe we should go for a different colour next time" he commented with a smile, one hand tracing the harlequin tear drop tattooed on his cheek. He hated his tattoo, it was a sign of the troupe he was born in.

Feroz, coming from a almost litteral world of darkness, where colors not provided by their dark vision were usually provided by the searing light of a candle, blinked in polite confusion as he studied the color of the cup, as he lacked the particular association of pink being a 'cute' or effeminite color. All the more so given the pair of eyes he associated it with. "I knew a drow once with eyes this color, both in the light and the dark. Very odd. Very dangerous. He was an assassin." He noted. "Curious tattoo, is it a gods mark?"

"oh??sounds rather intriguing" Hyde answered, letting his hand fall from the mark, perhaps he'd really gotten rather comfortable around Feroz, he'd never been so relaxed before--well so ealry on in a friendship in any case. "no, my mother and father gave it to me, before subjecting me to a life of servitude"

"....You know the more I hear about your race the less I'm convinced that there's any great differnce between them and the drow, save your tolerance for the blinding light of the sun." Feroz frowned at this, eyes narrowing slightly at what he imagined must have happened. Who were the elves then, if they would do this, to speak of the corruption of the Drow? He grumphed to himself and took another sip of his tea. "...His name was Illiam. We came to the surface together." he noted, going back to the other topic to keep his temper. "We lost track of each other..."

"I don't know if the whole race keeps the same view...I mean it was a circus I was born from" Hyde answered with a nonchalant shrug, he would have to talk to Kyou later. Or he'd revert back to his old habots, bringing up his past was painful for the emotion hiding healer.
Hyde diverted his gaze down at the angry look, his eyes wavering. That wasn't a nice look, and somehow he knew his talk had caused it and that made him feel insignificant and a nuisance. "i'm sorry..." he said meekly, absently stirring his bubble tea with the straw as he kept his gaze firmly on the ground.

"No, I'm sorry." he shook his head, chagrinned to realize his stormy mood had affected things. "It just mde me wonder. I hope you're right, that there are better examples....But perhaps I hang too many ideals on the world outside the underdark. That would be my own failing...and I've ruined the mood."

"I don't want to think my whole race is so unfair....the circus had all sorts of races there..from unicorns stuck in animal form to drow..." Hyde explained, his memory was patchy as he worked hard to suppress such negative things. But now he had to pull it up three times in so many months. He had to say it affected his mood dramatically.

"Then it's this 'circus' that is terrible..." he noted, following the shift in mood and looking for an excuse to let Hyde close the conversational door again. "Although it's clear you've seen far better. Though...I still can't quite picture an dragon breeding with a Unicorn. Can many shapeshift? Is this common in the surface world?"

"Unicorns from the surface world took sanctuary in the Underground over 300 years ago, they were hunted for sport...and yes, most unicorns can shapeshift, to disguise who exactly they are" Hyde explained, glad for the conversation shift, he smiled a little and sipped his tea again.
"Lord Murdoth Tresquax, the General of the Dragon Army...fell in love with Lady Shiayla Yuuni, the Unicorn Preistess; though both were punished for their union, Lord Murdoth was murdered under crimes against the dragon race and Lady Shiayla was driven away from her child and lover, not a very happy ending eh??"

"Well I suppose it depends on who you're rooting for, but no, especially not for Lord Murdoth, but less dire for the Lady and her child, since they at least can say they lived, and thats sometimes better than nothing. And certainly an avenue for you...the way things turned out." Though he doubted that unicorns, by reputation, would do the drowish thing and seek power to overturn the rule that had so harmed them. "Overall though, not exactly a childrens fable."

"at least Macy is getting a happy ending" Hyde said, a happy tone lacing his voice. He stopped and looked around, his gaze training on a Labrador as it bounded through the park, he stepped out the way as it came pelting down the path, chasing a rubber ball.
"and my life is fine now, i'm content with it, I hope yours is too" he added, smiling brightly at Feroz, his multi-toned eyes shining in delight.

"Perhaps you will as well, though I guess we never know how things will end until they've ended." He said, rather philosophicly, half jumping out of the path of the Labrador as it thunders through. Odd species dogs...though he's gotten a lot better about reading their behavior. Can't quite see why they find balls so facinating, but at least friendlier than most underdark species. "And I am. Most decidedly so. If nothing else I lean new things all the time. Like Bubble Tea."

"well I guess, but the ending starts somewhere no??the happiness part I mean" Hyde added with a small smile, chuckling at Feroz's last comment. He finished his cup of Bubble Tea, dropping the empty plastic cup and straw into a nearby trash can. He swept a hand through his crimson hair, as was his habit.
"we all have a chance, one day i'd like to find someone to love and be happy with them" he added offishly, turning back around to face Feroz with a neautral serious face. Letting his hand slowly drift to lay at his side again.
