Musei groaned, getting back to his feet. "I think you set my whole body into the Fire Kingdom all at the exact same time." Rubbing his chest, he shook his hair loose of the sand simultaneously, walking around to the dock and waiting there.
"If you would be so kind...the rope and board please." Musei mocked, as if one to an incompetent child. "Else the ship'll float away and you'll never get ashore." He shook his finger accusingly.
His face never changed from it's stoic appearance, appearing all the serious that he was. Of course, it took all the restraint he had to keep it on.

She watched him and craned her to the side. A pout was made and she disappeared from the railing. A few seconds later the rope's tailed end as well as the plank came flying over the railing she had been at. She had tossed them over at him? No..these had force behind them. Someone was airbending!

Musei's eyes quickly shifted from their mocking state to a wide-eyed form of shock in a matter of seconds. He would have tried dodging the now-dangerous projectiles, but he had learned a few things. How to control air being one of the most important ones.
Musei held up his right hand, aiming for the docking board. It took him a while to focus the air, but it was short enough. When he finally shot the ball of air, it was merely enough to slow it down and allow it to fall harmlessly to the dock. The rope, on the other hand, he merely grabbed with his free hand and in an instant tied it to the dock.
Once he was sure that it was secure, he grabbed the board and set it on the wooden planks underneath his feet, letting the top fall into the empty slot of the ship's railing.
"Alright! Let's get to explorin'!" Musei said with a grin, hands on his hips. The sudden and extremely quick flush of happy emotions had completely reset his way of thinking. "We have lots to do and...well...a lot of time to do it!"

Eventually she came down the plank, her free hand extending his staff towards him. She held a smile on her face..a true smile. She was proud of him. He was getting better with each passing day. And she wore it on her face.
"Alright then. I will allow you to lead the way, Musei. Just no getting us into trouble."

Musei smiled over his shoulder, walking a little ahead of Niima. "You know I can't guarantee that." It wasn't too long that he came to the edge of the forest, and he looked around for a while. "There's gotta be a...trail around here somewhere."
He checked branches and the bark from trees, trying to find a break; any evidence at all that an animal had been past. "In such a lush jungle..." His face turned completely cynical, his eyes directing themselves to a path that led from the dock farther towards the left. He was about a quarter of a mile away from it.
Quickly standing, he walked over towards the path, trying everything to seem that he knew where it was the whole time. Though, spread all across his face, was a light blush from embarassment. He was too caught up in his own nature instincts he didn't bother to check out the man-made possibilities.
"I...think it's this way."

She watched him in silence, appreciating the little qualities. She actually found it amusing that he tried to find a natural path then man-made and when he did find it seemed to play it off. She looked off at him like she had no clue that he had been embarrassed or even pointing out the faulty. Instead she followed after him, smiling warmly.
"So long as you behave I am sure things will be fine. I am not sure how their reaction will be to airbenders among their lands so.." She allowed her words to die out. No matter what land, her words would of been the same. When traveling in new places one should always be weary.

Tsuzuki looked up from her place on the dock; the people that she needed to command hadn't shown up. There had been a bad storm out at sea in the north where they were coming from and she had expected a delay of up to five days. But to the south, where her eyes now lay, everything was clear. It was beautiful as her home had always been. Now, though, it was lonely. There was no family left (which might have been a good thing) and, now, there were no friends. Her trip around the world had been so facinating and filled with adventure and now she sat on the same beach on the same small inlet that she had started from. She felt stuck in her own destany as if fate was against her and she had to preform the duty that the Fire Lord instructed her with. The world was crumbling within itself once more. Or, maybe, her lack of freedoms within the world was crushing her.
As she wallowed in her own thoughts, she heard the murmur of voices. She turned her head to her right where they were coming from and saw two young people coming from the trees. Although, she wasn't one to talk. After all, she had only just turned sixteen. She stared at them, taking in their odd appearances and smiled: this could be exactly what she needed. "Hullo, there!" She addressed Musei and Niima loudly with a broad smile and a large wave, "What're you two doing here in Kibou Irie?"
She asked them this in a friendly manner, not one of 'you better not be causing trouble' or anything. She asked it as though she were truely interested in what they had come to the Fire Nation for. They obviously were from somewhere outside of the Fire Nation because of their odd appearances. Tsuzuki guessed from the Air Nomads but she didn't want to assume anything. After all, she had traveled the world in both Northern Water Tribe and Earth Kingdom garb. "You're obviously not from around here," Tsuzuki pointed out happily.

Musei was about to reply Niima when he heard a voice from behind them. Immediately his body grew rigid and he stopped all motion. It took him a few seconds to turn around, his eyes focusing on the figure a little farther down the beach.
"H-hi..." Musei said, though incredibly quietly. He was sure that the woman down the sandy way didn't hear him, but he couldn't muster more out of his vocal cords. He gulped, trying to continue. This time he shouted his response. "We...we're from the Air Nomads! You've got a good eye!"

Tsuzuki ran towards them, feeling slow and sluggish under their eyes when, in reality, she could run at a normal pace. As they came into view, she got a clearer look at them. The boy's flaming orange hair stood out the most in his grey features. It was odd to see someone (especially from the Air Nomads) in so much grey clothing. The girl, on the other hand, was dressed more like an Air Nomad and seemed much closer to Tsuzuki's age, if not older, than the boy although she was much shorter than the firebender. Tsuzuki noticed for a brief moment the girl's eyes which were two different colors. At first glance, the left one (Tsuzuki's right) was gold while the right one (Tsuzuki's left) was blue. They were an odd sight in Kibou Irie and, for some reason, Tsuzuki felt oddly protective over them and didn't want them to be hurt.
"Thanks," she breathed gratefully reguarding her 'good eye'. She continued more enthusiastically than loudly, "It's great to meet someone from the Air Nomads! You see, no one seems to visit this part of the Fire Nation anymore so it's always great to see new faces!"
She hessitated for a moment before asking, "Might I interest you both in a warm cup of tea while you're in town? I mean, you must have had such a long journey and it would be rude of me not to offer you a rest in my house."

Musei scratched his head, looking puzzlingly back at Niima. "Well...ah...I have no say over these kinds of things. If it's any consolation, though, I'd like to."
He smiled in his little goofy way, like a little kid. At least it wasn't a group. He probably wouldn't talk to a group. "An' if it's okay, I don't like tea."

Her hand settled tenderly on Musei's shoulder in order to calm him, a warm smile offered to the young woman before her. Though probably close in age, Niima wore knowledge in her gaze many years older. "Salutations Miss. And thank you for such a warm greeting. I was worried how we would be treated here in the fire nation. I am Niima and my brother here is Musei. If I may be so bold as to ask yours..?"
She did agree, the young woman had a good eye. She seemed kind enough. But she knew well that looks could be deceiving so though she was slack in appearance she was cautious of the young woman's actions. "Why is it noone visits this part of the Fire Nation?" Her head cranes slowly, her eyes raising from the young woman to study the area. "And some tea would be lovely Miss." Her head dips down, titian hair spilling forward, as she shows her appreciation to the young lady.

Tsuzuki grinned broadly at their acceptance of her invitation. "Name's Tsuzuki Okami," she said, conveniently leaving out the part about her being a Commodore. "And I'm. . . well, I guess you could say head of the city. It's very nice to meet you, Niima and Musei of the Air Nomads." She was being extemely proper about introducing herself which was, actually, most uncharacteristic of her.
She bowed back to Niima out of politeness but, like her guest, she wasn't quite sure that she should trust this stranger. The banishments in her life had all come out of improper trust in certain individuals: her family in the Fire Nation, Kazuki from the Northern Water Tribe, and that Dav fellow from the Earth Kingdom. But with the Air Nomads, she had a clean slate and intended to keep it as such. "Shall we?" She asked before leading them off to her manor.
"Tea's not all I have," she consoled Musei happily, "I'm sure I could find something that you like in my kitchens. Spirits know that they're big enough."
As they walked, Tsuzuki addressed Niima's other question, "Yeah. . . Why doesn't anyone visit here? Well, we didn't have many political advantages in this port about twenty-odd years back. Sure, we got a good supply of delicacies such as crabfish and lobstersnail from islands south of here but it wasn't enough to hold up the large seaside city that it was quickly becoming. So," she hessitated; this was the part that she hadn't ever told anyone, "My father started an underground buisness. They mainly traided weapons and technologies with other Nations so to give to the Fire Lord. The Fire Lord, of coarse, was very pleased with this and paid mountains of gold which caused the city to thrive. But, this trade was, well, not the most legal thing if you catch my drift, and attracted all sorts of shady crowds. They wouldn't dare hurt anybody who lived in the city; my father wouldn't let him. But, visiters have been known to go missing if they can't hold their own. People don't come here more for personal safety than anything else."
She finished with a more relaxed tone as if she didn't care much about what she had just told her guests.

As she followed a strange look crept to her pale features. A strum of curiosity in wondering if the young woman knew Fulgar and Kurai but for now Niima simply listened with interest to the woman's words. Well if that didn't leave her uneasy. No more leading them around for Musei. Nor leaving her sight for that matter.
"Is this..trade still going on to this day, Miss Okami?" Yes. She was nosey. More like she was making sure that if this trade was still going on..those shady types could still be around..only making her want to keep Musei more closely. At this point he'd be lucky if she didn't make him sleep back to back with her! Be damned if she's going to lose anyone else..she already lost too much.
Her eyes lowered to Musei. Was his energy holding up? Lowering her voice she mumbled to Musei. "Stay close huh? Don't want you getting lost." With a 'heh' she playfully ruffles his hair. A sure sign of her affection for the younger Air Nomad.

Musei might have replied, but he was too busy processing what Niima had said. At first he thought it was a fluke; something he thought he heard. But the more he pondered it, the more he realized she truly said 'brother'. A radiant, beaming smile crept across Musei's features; but he was unable to look Niima in the face. He didn't want to cry in front of a new person. Not that it would be of sadness...but joy that she, of all things, called him her brother.
And, of course, unless they addressed their last names the woman wouldn't know any better. "Thank you, Tsuzuki." Musei started, his smile infecting the rest of his face. Even his eyes took on a happy twinkle. And, in this case, he didn't care about politics. The history of the place didn't matter to him in the least. He was too busy drinking in the wonderful contrast between the dark jungle and the bright, crystal-clear seas and sandy beach.
"You'd think this place would be a tourist destination. It's breathtaking."

Tsuzuki smiled at her concern a little malevolently but answered truthfully, "Yes, the trade's still going on. Not in my hands though; I'm too busy-" she was going to say 'preparing for the war' but she thought that it was just a little too alarming for the Air Nomads to realize that she was doing a lot for the war effort now-a-days, "runing the ports. It's harder than you think with all of the different kinds of trade that moves through here."
It was a half-truth because she wasn't having trouble with the ports because of trade but because of the war. "You're very welcome, Musei and sadly, no. A lot of people in the Fire Nation don't even know about Kibou Irie. Just a few of the higher nobles and the traders. Unfortunately, we're overshadowed by a bigger sea-side city down the coast."
When Tsuzuki had finished, she had lead them almost all of the way to the front gates of her home. They were walking next to the outer stone walls and Tsuzuki could just barely see the top of the house. The black tiles on the roof shone along with the gold trimming around them.
