Rajin slowly walked toward then other earth bender, that was no violently cursing at Rajin, and picked up one of his hammers and slipped it onto his belt. After attaching the hammer to his waist he glanced back at the bandits and sighed in disappointment. When he looked away he walked out of the pub completely forgetting about his fruit drink. When he walked out into the hot air again. Sand lightly brushing his cheek as a breeze floated by. And when his eyes adjusted to the sun's brightness he saw three more sand benders standing him down.

"COME AT ME THEN, COWARDS!", Rajin shouted trying to aggravate them. At that moment all three sand benders attack, shooting balls of sand and what stones where around. Rajin evaded all attacks with great ease and counter attacked. He had shifted the sand on the right side of the oasis up into the air and over to the left side of the oasis creating a wave of sand. When it was over the three benders he released it and buried them.

However,one of the sand benders rose from beneath the mound his comrades were still under and dashed toward Rajin. He retaliated by thrusting a column of sand at Rajin. As it approached Rajin he bended it ti the sand and remained unharmed. Rajin the counter attacked by bending the sandy soil beneath the enemy bender and swallowed him up.

Rajin left the oasis and headed south for Ba Sing Se. He was disgusted by how the people here acted and he desperately need to get back to his training.

At high noon four high ranked officials arrived into the only oasis in the desert and stood where everyone could see the four of them. One of them began to shout to get the people's attention. "All benders and fighters in the Great Desert are here by under the command of the earth kingdom
military. We were sent here to turn this oasis as a guard post and a check point. If there are any objections you can speak with my lieutenants." The soldier had finally stopped speaking and waited for a response from anyone however it appeared that the people were too scared to say anything so the soldiers went about their business. The four of them started by bending a ten foot wall around the entire oasis only leaving two gaps on opposite sides that would act as entrances and exits. Then the four of them split up and bended two guard towers on opposite sides of the oasis. One soldier went up into each tower while two stayed bellow at the entrances.

Not many people had traveled through the oasis or even passed by for the matter. The only people that where there were the sand benders. Patrolling the oasis was a very boring job and the new guards had thought it was going to be a little more exciting than sitting down.
