Meroko was overjoyed to see Mitsuki again. She landed on the ground and hugged Mitsuki back. " I've missed you soooo much!" Over Mitsuki's shoulder, she shot a glance at the shinigami, then looked over at Takuto, who hadn't even noticed her yet. " Same old Takuto" she thought.

Sora looked terribly confused but he decided to say why he was really here. " I-I'm here because I need to take someone's life..." He did not look at anyone as he said this. Then without even moving a muscle, he changed into his human form."What the- Where the hell did he come from?!" Takuto took a moment to think things through and finally concluded, "You're the sinigami, right? Akiko's friend?" Takuto moved protectively in fornt of Mitsuki. "Why are you here?"

Mitsuki Had A Confused Look On Her Face as she stood behind Takuto. 'Li-kun is here to take some ones life? who's?? I Hope it's not me again.. It Couldn't be me! I can't see him unless he's in human from... Could it be Kiko-chan??' She Thought Worriedly.

Sora glared at a patch of hard wood flooring. "No Mitsuki, I didn't come to take your life... But," Sora stopped and pulled a small black cube out of the pouch on his belt. "I did come to take Takuto's..."
"WHAT?!" Takuto yelled and dropped on his knees to the floor.
Sora took a step forward, small black cube lying in the center of his left palm.

Mitsuki Stared At Li with Fear In Her Eyes as she also droped to her knees and held Takuto. "WHAT!!!???? WHY!?!?!?!?!" She yelled as she held takuto harder tears coming down her face.
Akiko also looked at Li with Fear in her eyes. She ran over and stood in front of Takuto and Mitsuki. "Why are you here for Takuto??" She said coldly.

" NO!!!" Meroko screamed. " I can't let you do that! It's my job to protect people, and I can't let you kill Takuto!" With this, Meroko pulled out a small book and a bow and arrow. She opened the book, looked through it, closed it and then it dissapeared. She picked up the bow and arrow, then moved so that she was right infront of Li, with everyone else behind her. " You have to give a reason for taking his life. If the reason is believable and accurate ( I will know if it's accurate), I cannot turn you into a ghost. But, if it is not, I can shoot you with this arrow and you will become a ghost. Even if it is a good reason, I can still do things to stop it. I will not let Takuto die. He risked everything for Mitsuki's life, so now it's my turn to do everything I can for Takuto. So, start talking." Tears were now running down Meroko's face. She wiped them away and said again, " Tell us your reason for taking Takuto's life! When Takuto became a human again, the White Lady put me incharge of his soul, so now I have to protect it."

"I don't have the same boss as you-" Sora backed away from the bow. His face grew dark and forbidding.
Once more he reached into his pouch and retrived the palm pilot. He began to poke around the screen, then suddenly he shoved it towards the group.
"See? This is Takuto's file." And indeed there was a picture of Takuto on the palm pilot. Along with his bio, his height, age, everything! Including his past life as a sinigami. " I don't get reasons for taking lives, I just do it. Now, I'm going to have to ask you to kindly step aside."
Sora returned to his sinigami form, put his other hand to his lips and began to chant.
[Gah, chant is such a horrible word, but I'm at a loss for a better one XP
Don't worry about Takuto ]

Meroko pulled back on the bow string. The arrow was aimed right at Li. " Stop it! I may not have the same boss as you, but angels have certain powers over shinigami." She was pointing the arrow right at Li now. She muttered something under her breath. The arrow started to glow with a gold light. "Now, if you will kindly stop your chanting, I won't turn you into a ghost. Takuto isn't dying any time soon. Not if I have something to do with it. Ok, so you don't get a reason in your ward, neither did Takuto and I. But, we couldn't take Mitsuki's life. Not someone who still had so much of life to live. She already lost Eichi-kun, are you going to take Takuto away from her too? If you kill Takuto, you are hurting lots of other people! Just because it's your job, doesn't mean that you have to do it. The only thing that your punishment could be for not killing Takuto is staying a shinigami."

Takuto had been speechless. He pulled away from Mitsuki and stood up. "Meroko, put that down." he said. Even though he could not see or hear her, he felt her presence. Takuto walked forward until he felt something cold against his chest, which was Sora's hand. "I don't understand, but I know you have to do what you have to do... So do it..." Takuto's eyes teared as he said this.
Sora was shaking. He didn't want to do it. He was about to say the final words of the chant but stopped. He thought for a second. " You have regrets, I can't take your life now.'' Sora smiled a little.

"Uh, I...don't understand" Meroko said. "I took lives of people who had many regrets, and the shinigami who took mine killed me when I had regrets. i don't understand, why is Takuto different?" she said. Then she sanpped her fingers. The bow and arrow dissapeared, and Meroko became visible to everyone and landed on the ground. "Why?" she said. She was happy that Takuto wasn't going to die, but if a shinigami can't take the life of someone who has regrets, then Meroko shouldn't have died in the first place. She could still be...alive. And, she took the lives of people who had regrets, so they should still be alive. Tears were running down her face. "I shouldn't have died, and, many other people shouldn't have dies either! I ended the lives of people who should not have died. My life was ended too! WHY?"

Mitsuki looked horrified when Takuto said he'd let Li take his Life. She Didin't know what she would do if she lost Takuto. She Then Walked over to Meroko and knelled beside her and gave her a warm hug. "Meroko-chan Shhh... If You Hadn't Become a Shinigami we would have never met remember??" She Said trying to calm down her friend. Mitsuki then walked over behind takuto and gave him a hug and wispered something softly "please don't leave me again."

"That's true, but I still want to know why." Meroko said. "And don't think that everything is OK now, because it's not. You still tried to kill Takuto, what was the reason?" Meroko still knew that he had a reason why Takuto would have had to die. All shinigami get a reason. He probably just didn't want to say it at the time. "So, are you going to tell us or not?" Meroko asked. "You know I'm not going to shoot you" she said sarcasticly.
