You have seven snakes?! Cool! All I have right now is two hermit crabs because my lease does not allow us to have anything.

"Except as required by law, no pets are allowed (even temporarily) anywhere in the Apartment or the Property without our prior written approval... "Pets" include all mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, fish, and insects." eek

So just to be a total smartass I put a big disclaimer on the top of their tank that plainly quotes the lease and then I wrote beneath it "Please note that hermit crabs are arthropods and are not listed in Centennial Court's definition of a pet." My friends think it's greatness. mrgreen

Lol. That's greatness! All of my pets live with my mother right now (except for the hermits). We've got two dogs, a bunny, two birds and just one indoor cat now (Nala passed away a few days ago, she was 12). It's amazing how they work their way into our hearts. They can be pretty manipulative little buggers too. Take Smokey for example (he'll be 13 in October)... He stares at you when you walk near the refrigerator and does this weird "silent meow" thing and if you don't feed him treats soon he'll stare down the black hallway until you are sufficiently creeped out. He's very good at it, and I think it helps that he's so afraid of the hallway himself. He runs to his litterbox, goes, and runs back. He's terrified to eat down there too and will take a few bites of food and run, unless you sit down there with him. Nala died in the middle room (which is where the litter box is) and his food dish is in the bathroom (which is next to the middle room). We can't put his dishes or his box anywhere else because of the dog. I feel bad for him. They've never been apart before.

Still, the antics... My Mum had a trash bag of shredded paper in the kitchen. I was standing there, pouring a glass of water and watching Smokey. He sniffed at the bag, peered into the living room, and apparently satisfied that mum was distracted by the TV, he jumped up on top of the bag and began to use it as a scratching post. It was so funny. I of course had to stop him before he made a huge mess, but at least he's still up to his same old destructive self. I'm just waiting to wake up and find that he's broken into the trash again. lol. I used to blame it all on the dog until I woke up one night and saw him knock it over and dig ALL of the trash out...

Im a big Harry Potter fan now. I wasnt interested at first until a friend of mine from college went on about Harry Potter 24/7 at me so I finally picked it up now im a big fan, Snape being my favourite character. *waves Snape flags*

I have read Harry Potter since the first book came out, and I'm eagerly waiting for the fourth movie to come out. My favorite book is the fourth. My favorite Harry Potter characters are: Severus Snape, Draco Malfoy, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Tonks. I write fanfictions about Harry Potter and anime.
