"Well, that might explain you...but the other one I ran into was hard to tease as well. But I just see that as a hurdle to get over. It wouldn't be that fun if it was easy...right?"
Those bright eyes looked over at Jay, that smirk still there. It might take awhile to get under Jay's skin, but Derek would try. Even if he couldn't do it today, he'd just find him again and again until he did. Jay had just sealed the deal, Derek would always be there now. Why? It'd be fun.

"right, nice outlook" Jay agreed, smiling handsomely at Derek before diverting his gaze from Derek to the water lapping at his intricate shoes. He let a smile grace his face as he moved his watefall of golden and silver hair out of the way, so it leaned over his left shoulder in one big go.

Nana purred deeply, snuggling up against Oli as he was forced to sit up. His tail curled around his waist, his ears laying flat against his head. He nuzzled Oli's chest with his cheek. "I'm glad I can make you happy..."

Oliver smiled and licked Nana's cheek lovingly, holding the other close as he listened. He had to admit, with all the males he had lain with, Nana was by far alot more...different. Something sucked Oliver into trying to find out about him, wanting him even needing him.
"I promise i'll make you happy Na, my mate" Oli whispered in Nana's ear. stretching his arms above his head, his muscles stretching then easing when he relaxed again. Reaching out for his glass of lemonade and drinking it down in one go. It was still too hot.

"Is that a hint of sarcasm there?" Derek chuckled, his bright eyes dancing in the sunlight. It really was a nice day. Rolling his shoulders a bit he sighed. Now...how to try to get under Jay's skin? Derek fraknly, didn't know at the moment. He looked over, and watched the other move is hair. One of his own hands went up to touch one of his red locks. Not as long, or pretty, or soft.

"oh no, totally truth" Jay answered with a smile, running a hand down his hair. Jay adored his hair, he liked how it felt, how it looked and how it smelled. It was the only part of himself that he liked. He looked at Derek and his rogueish cuteness.
"you're cute Derek" he said bluntly, with a straight face as he looked at the other. He was merely staing a fact.

Derek was expecting something...but not that. His bright eyes widened nad a slight coloring appeared on his pale face. He forced it away quickly, and shook his head. Some people were just...weird.
"Uh...Thanks?"
He was off balance now... confused as hell and unbalanced in his mind. People were just so odd.

"you looked a bit depressed as you touched your hair, I thought i'd try and cheer you up" Jay answered, seeing the perplexed look that Derek held. He chuckled and then laughed.

"My hair just...doesn't look like yours. At all. Yours is all pretty...and it looks soft. Mine on the other hand..." His fingers pulled at a half curl. His hair was odd, and while he didn't pay much attention to it, from time to time he felt like just cutting it all off. He let go of his hair and reached out to touch a strand of Jay's.
"See...this is soft." He had to lean in to touch it, and look at it from a closer view...though Derek wasn't really paying attention to that.

"your hair is lovely Derek, just because mine is soft and straight doesn't mean yours is horrid with it's curlyness.." Jay shifted closer to the other when Derek started touching his hair, he ran a hand absently over the goold and silver strands and then moved a hand to brush it through Derek's hair.
"I personally like your hair" he said softly, smiling as he drew his hand away and let it rest at his side.

Derek suddenly realized how closer they were and moved back a bit, letting the soft strands fall through his fingers. This was a weird situation for the red head... it was almost like he had heard of it somewhere before...but where? They were just sitting on the side of the lake...talking... touching each other's hair. Why was his stomach doing flips? Was he hungry again?
"Well, thanks... It's just hair though, right?"
He gave off a nervous chuckle, confused with himself. A slight blush colored his face again as he tried to muddle through his thoughts.

Jay blinked in confusion as Derek pulled back, he sat up straight, running a hand through his hair and letting it fall back over his shoulders again. He looked up a little as he let out a small sigh, inaudibly.
"yes, but hair says alot about a person" Jay answered, noting his pulse had raised and a blush was staining his cheeks. What on earth was he thinking?? he'd only just met Derek and already he was getting too close.

"Really? So you're a... pretty, soft kinda person?" The blush was gone, in place of that was a grin. He had a feeling that Jay was a nice person...but not a softie. Not some one to be pushed over with the littlest things. Well, he looked pretty...though handsome was a better word for it. Derek caught himself checking the other out and quickly turned to stare at the water. What was wrong with him? The red head normaly went for the 'bad boy' type. The wild unruly guy...just like him. Derek knew he liked guys better, but really... Jay didn't fall in "his" type.

Jay looked way from Derek, afraid he'd be caught staring. His hand moved to tug at his bangs absentmindedly.
"when it's called for, I can be an a$$hole when need be too" he answered with a seren smile, turning it to Derek breifly before looking up at the sky again, willing his blush away.

Honestly, it was a shock to hear such words from Jay. It brought laughter to Derek's lips though, the blush going away in a moment of joy. Why? Because Jay didn't seem like a person to cuss.
"I think I'd like to see that. It'd be interesting, to say the least."
The very thought of Jay cursing some one out was funny. Derek grinned over at him, at ease for a moment.
