(( Note: Chloe and I decided that this RP is occurring after Ravi's pickup! ))
As Ravi exited the Lab, he shifted the bottle from his hands to his leather case, careful to protect the fragile glass from damage. Though the object was the single most fascinating thing he'd ever laid eyes upon or possessed, he'd busy himself with alternate pursuits for now. Like meiosis, Ravi's mind needed time to pass for this new information on Raevans to really seep in. Jeez, even his hands were shaking! He needed something to calm down his nerves. Something to keep his stomach from leaping out his throat. Water, maybe. It sounded a lot more appealing than duct tape.
Glancing up from his bag, he noticed that a series of booths had been erected beside the Lab exterior. Quite a gathering of people had arrived already. Was there an event going on? Noting the color of some of the banners and signs hanging around the area, he felt a new feeling arise in his stomach, but it was far from pleasure. Valentine's Day. Probably the single most irritating day in the world for people like Ravi to deal with. He hated when people draped themselves over each other, and the sweets?! Didn't people have limits when it came to things like chocolate or cupcakes?! As if streamers of fluorescent pink hadn't done enough damage to his sight, advertisements for diamonds, roses, and more... sticky materials left the magician with anything but a reason to celebrate. He almost turned away from the gathering, sickened by what surely promised to be a place for public displays of "affection" (If that's how people define predilection, he thought with a grimace).
However, the nagging need for something to calm his nerves was pressing now not only at his stomach, but his throat, and Ravi knew that a drink was in order.
He sauntered up the path leading to the booths, still keeping his tote in check, and located a directory. The refreshment booth, then, was just a little bit... He looked up. Ah. There was a reasonably large group there, so maybe he'd have to check back later. He was starting to feel a little dizzy, but he didn't want to admit it to himself. Just fazed, he thought, unable to wrench his eyes from the greenish and purple-hued disembodied - no, Raevans - helping the Gaians at their booth. Just a little shocked. Like when I first started magic. It's just new. He shook his head, auburn bangs blocking his eye's path, and then entered into the path lined with booths.
Since he wasn't paying much attention to his surroundings, Ravi stumbled into someone soon after traipsing towards the booths. The collision wasn't too hard, it seemed; his head was only slightly more dizzy than it was before, his arm a little sore from being hit in a certain place. His bag was fine, as was the bottle within it. He sighed.
"Sorry about that," he started, then, in looking at the person he'd ran into, found before his eyes a startling shock of pink. Oh, pink. He hated this holiday.
Then he remembered the woman who had just told him all about those floating half-bodied creatures serving at this event at the Lab and his eyes widened a little in recognition. "Oh, Miss Chloe! Please, pardon me. I hope you're not hurt?"
Ravi failed to realize that the person he had bumped into was far from female.

((Rofl, I'm still trying to pick up Kalec as well, but I just explain this by saying its a special release before his pick-up.))
As the woman stepped away, Kalec felt a sudden lack of emotion again. He nodded at her in thanks before she left and then went back to playing with his skull-pendant.
He cooly analyzed who was up at the refreshment stand, and decided that he would step back a bit and rest. There had been a lot of information to collect and process, not only the material and physical, but also about life itself, and its diversity. A lot of questions about his own existence that needed answering had been solved, but this prompted still more questions.
He drifted back to the back of the stand, and became rather still, eyes closed in silent meditation.

Miss?
The young man stopped in mid-strid, straining his long ears to make sure he heard what heard. Miss. Setting his jaw and pursing his lips in a dangerous line, We`rika's tapered ears fell back against his skull in irritation. Dull eyes furrowed as he slowly turned around to meet the som'b***h who opened his mouth. Instead, he had to look up, but that didn't soften his gaze.
He stayed quiet for a moment, almost in delayed reaction.
"....... 'Scuse me...?" He uttered dryly.

((*yawns* I've got to get for the night myself. I'll likely be on at work.))
Alex nearly jumped when Kalec asked about the cuts on the other woman's hands. Unconsciously, she moved her hands in an old, familiar way that showed that she'd made it a bad habit. She had her own scars, and most of the visible ones were on her hands. It simply came with her job.
Her back pocket started to ring. Startled, Alex pulled out her cell phone, staring at it like she'd never seen it before. "Who's calling me at this hour?" she wondered out loud. She casts an apologetic glance to the green Raevan, murmuring, "Excuse me," before walking away from the booths to answer the phone.

((I'm sooooooo sorry for disappearing like that!! Something came up in RL. This is may last post for today.))
Sam had slunk back into the crowd as Kalec had conversed with Niksa. He felt like even though he had won the staring contest, he had been demoted in the eyes of the raevan to something... less than human. He decided to make an expeditious retreat. He would observe the raevans and plan...

Ravi blinked. Chloe...?
Hearing an out-of-place flapping, Ravi glanced not up, but down, at the one he had bumped into. The person was whole-bodied, and that was reassuring for the nervous stitch in the redhead's gut, but he didn't seem to be entirely human, either. Instead of human ears, jagged tapered ones emerged from his (NOT her!) head. If the grumpy demeanor of the man wasn't evidence enough, the ears were pushed back along his head to show quite evidently the man's irritation. Ravi gulped unconsciously, too accustomed to the pain that often accompanied such a look. His cat Bast had given him enough claw treatments to haunt a man for a lifetime.
Ravi moved once the person spoke. "Sorry about that," he said, unsure what the seemingly aggressive person really wanted to hear. If it were any other day, Ravi wouldn't have been bewildered enough to actually care what others thought about his simple mistakes. But now, Ravi was caught off guard. Who was this person? And why were so many unique humanoids surrounding the Lab (well, aside from the promise of strawberry flavored sugar cookies)?

Floating and wobbling slightly side to side, Eirdirsceol glanced about his little decorated booth. The sides were all decorated with little flowers and cut out hearts that were all, in some way shape or form, disporportionate. Eiry had cut them out himself. He didn't really understand the entire concept of the event, or why the people were all there, or anything at all, really, but he was there anyways.
Hosting a kissing booth.
...Yeeeeah.
Eiry bit his lip and looked around shyly. His 'Uncle Isi' was hobbling up to him with his crutches and the boy looked up and gave the raevan a knowing smile. He couldn't stop chuckling at his new raevan and how he wobbled dangerously as he floated behind the booth. Actually, Isi couldn't stop laughing at the idea of Eiry hosting a kissing booth! His little innocent bewildered mint-colored raevan running a KISSING booth!
"Have you gotten anyone yet?" Isi asked the young frei, leaning against the side, "Do you even remember how to give a kiss?"
Eiry nodded with a smile, closed his eyes and puckered his lips and kissed his own hand, "Like...Like this! N-nii-san reminded me. H-H-He showed me. On the cheek, he told me."
Isi simply shook his head and laughed again, "Where's Riv and Aphi? I want him to take pictures."
In the background, Beauregard the whale was soaring above the crowd, singing love songs. Currently he was singing 'When Doves Cry' by Prince, and the little red whale was attempting to do a pelvic thrust.
"Well, while we're waiting, I'm going to go just right over there and see if I can win you something, okay?" Isi said happily, indicating the dice booth. He watched his raevan nod and he knew better than to wander away from the booth. Uncle was only going to be a couple yards away and Eiry was fine with that as long as he could see him.
Isi hobbled away and he came to the booth.

Storei rolled 2 100-sided dice:
85, 66
Total: 151 (2-200)

Picking up the two huge boulder-like dice, the crippled boy gave a smile and breathed upon the dice as a matter of habit. Then, shaking it within his cupped hands once more, he tossed the dice into the pan and watched them with eager eyes. He really wanted to win something for Eiry. The young frei loved soft things of comfort like blankets or little trinkets and whatnot. The simplest things amused him to no end. It would be a nice thing if Isi could win something for his new young charge.
The numbers rolled onto an unsuccessful 151. Frowning at the dice and his failed technique, the crippled boy stroked his chin in thought as if he were mentalling scolding the dice.

"Oh, come on," Isi pleaded with the dice and the iron skillet, furrowing his brows at them and then determinedly snatching them up again. This time he rolled them around in his hands as he leaned against the side of the booth to keep himself standing, as if he wanted to warm them up. Isi glanced once over his shoulder and watched as Eiry floated like a will o the wisp behind his booth. Turning back to the dice, the boy muttered under his breath, "Give me something for Eiry."
When the dice came to a stop, Isi could've growled aloud in frustration. He was only ONE away from getting a Vyn! Just ONE! 97 + 1 would've equaled 98 and that would've meant: gift for Eiry. However, the dice decided to tease him and give him a bloody 97.

Snatching up the dice again with more anger, the boy glared at the dice and shook at meaningful finger at them, "This is the last time I'm going to try before I go back and check on Eiry, got it? Give me something for him, he deserves it for running a kissing booth." he told them.
Then a movie scene flashed through his head. He got a brief picture of the orange fuzzy things from 'Labyrinth' rolling their eyes and saying 'snake eyes!'.
Then the song got stuck in his head.
Chilly down, chilly down, with the wild gang!
Isi shook the song from his head and frowned visibly. He rolled the dice once more, throwing then into the iron pan as if with an anger.
63! UGH THE DICE WERE TEASING HIM.
"You are little bloody rolly-polly bugs, aren't you?" Isi hissed at the dice, frowning at them once more. He was so close to getting a Melisande! But no, the dice had to be 3 numbers away! Finding that he couldn't stop, Isi rubbed his hands together and got ready to try again. He glanced once over his shoulder to make sure Eiry was alright.

Julian Sweet Again, before he could utter another word, the actual paying customer spoke to him. The gaze he shot at the punk before him quite frankly said the fight was not over. It was merely postponed.
He looked over the young woman- Natsuki- as one might look over a very interesting test tube. "There are very few good causes left, so I would have you assume the answer is "no". Besides, it is hardly an auction if anyone willing to pay recieves a..."
His lips quirked slightly. "Prize." < heart >>
"I hope I didn't interrupt your previous conversation," Natsuki said, taking a glance at the placard above his booth, "...Julian."
Natsuki heart skipped a beat seeing how tall Julian was. Then again, being petite, many people were taller than her. There was a no-nonsense, educated air about him, which compared to the usual yahoos who frequented her cafe, was a breath of fresh air. From the pile of books and the stony demeanour, Natsuki got the precise impression this was not particularly the place Julian wanted to be. Nodding politely, she continued, taking note of his intonation of the word 'prize'.
"Does this mean you're going to put the 'prize' in 'surprise', sir?" Natsuki smiled impishly, trying not to flirt with the young man. Elegantly extending her white gloved hand, she held out her donation, ready to get down to business. "I'd be interested in talking with you further about what you're reading up, after we square away this business."

A few hours after their tactical retreat, Rivener and Aphismet came back to the fair. They both had taken enough time to think things through, calm down, collect themselves... And then Rivener had mentioned that he shouldn't be shirking his responsibilities at the refreshment booths.
That was not a lesson Aph wanted to teach Rivener, shirking work, so they both returned. Aph kept glancing about uneasily, wondering if perhaps Chloe was back... Wow, there were a lot of people here! "Ah, Isi and Eiry are here," Aph noted. "They got here pretty late." This was normal, considering Eiry had a terrible fear of cars, and refused to get into a cab.
"Give me a dollar," Rivener demanded. "I'm going to go buy a Kiss from him so he doesn't feel like he's left out or anything." He held out his hand expectantly, and once Aph reluctantly placed the money in his hand, the Raevan dashed away, picking up his camera. If he wanted to take a picture of Eiry, he'd quickly learned he had to do it without the other's knowledge or else he'd make one of those faces and throw up his hands, and basically RUIN it.
Aphismet, however, headed over to the Lucky Pan to try a few more rolls.
"Hi, Isi!" He offered his little brother a smile as he snatched the dice from him playfully. "Let someone who knows what he's doing give it a try!"
After the roll, which turned up an unlucky 126, Aph pursed his lips and picked them up to try again.

Aph picked up the dice again and gave it another try. "Argh! Almost enough for Vyn, just one too many!" He smirked. It would be hard to win these things! And why was he trying anyway, he could just make himself one if he wanted... Just the thought of winning is what was driving him.
Rivener floated closer to Eiry's booth, sneaking along the side of the aisle, ducking from kiosk to kiosk, like a spy. He grinned. He loved catching Eiry unawares, the ghostly Raevan would always freak out if he found Riv photographing him, but Rivener couldn't help it. Inching out from behind the last booth, Riv waited until Eiry looked pretty much his way, and then snapped a picture.
The flash must have alerted his little brother, so Rivener dashed away with a chuckle, to escape safely to his Refreshment booth. He'd go buy a Kiss from his brother later.

Niksia rolled 2 100-sided dice:

Hovering near the refreshment booth, Niksia sipped at her lemonade while she composed herself. This was what the Lab her two house guardians came from was about. That may have been an accident but leading her to a world like this...
Still pondering all the things she had come to realise, Niksia wandered carefully toward the Lucky Pan to see what it was about. And one spill of fate was quite enough for the time being.
Taking the dice in her free hand she rolled them with a flick of her wrist and peered down at the results.
'Let me see... Just shy of the mark, oh well.'
Niksia lingered there, wondering if she should keep trying or move on.

Rivener took his place at the refreshment booth, sparing a smile for Gage. The other one, silver-purple, was new! Rivener had never met him before! How intriguing. He would have to make it a point to speak with him later, get to know him. As it was, the new Frei was a little busy with customers.
It seemed that the others were not assigned to one thing in particular, they were just posted at different intervals along the booth, waiting for customers. Rivener did the same, placing himself next to Gage about as far apart as Gage stood from the Purple One, for consistency. He then whipped up his camera and snapped a few pictures of the other two, turning the flash off so it wouldn't distract them in their work.
He then turned to his duty and offered a sultry smile to the passerbys, even it was a little forced.
Aphismet rolled the dice again, now sharing the pan with a red-headed girl. "It's hard to get those numbers," he mumbled playfully.
