"D'seven is this?! Mom!!" Aaron came out of his room, carrying the hamster ball, with the pink fuzzy turtle inside.
Ruby glanced down, already attempting formulate some crazy story. "Your hamster....got bit," She glanced at her shoulder where the frog had bitten her, "yeah, sug, he got bit by turtle, musta had some kind a disease or somethin'"
Aaron looked at Ruby, then back to the turtle, then back to Ruby, then back to the turtle. "If I get bit by a turtle is this gonn..."
"No, sug, no, it only affects hamsters."
Aaron looked at Ruby, then back to the turtle, then back to Ruby, then back to the turtle. He lowered the hamster ball onto the floor, and let the turtle go tottering off. "Blue fuzz is better."
Ruby nodded, "I'll use that next time." She leaned down and gave him a hug, "I'll be back in ah while, got to go help out at the shelter. You be good, don't try an' get into Arch's things, an' leave Lori alone, absolutely no fire, an' don't go botherin' minerva either."
Aaron gave her a charming smile, "course, dahlin'."

After Ruby left, Aaron went to the kitchen area in her room and checked the drawers for matches. He had to use a chair to climb up onto the counter but he was finally able to find a matchbook at the very top cupboard. With a little jumping they were his and in his pocket.
He climbed back down and nearly freaked as a cold slimy object dropped onto his arm. A pair of red eyes glanced back at him, and the frog almost seemed to smile. Aaron smiled back, and before the frog could protest, grabbed it and stuffed it in his other pocket.
His next stop was in Arch and Ruby's bedroom, and his daily task of trying to open the magically sealed drawer. He pulled at it, kicked at it, lit the corner on fire with a match, but only succeeded in burning the edge and corner of the bedspread. He tried prying it open with a stick, a frying pan, and hitting it with a baseball bat. As usual, it would not open, and Aaron gave up afer a good hour of trying.

Herbasis walked through the open door, ducking under it. He held the turtle-in-a-ball in his right hand, glaring down at Aaron. "Child! I almost fell over your creature in a ball! Next time I shall kill it!"

Arch the Angel Herbasis walked through the open door, ducking under it. He held the turtle-in-a-ball in his right hand, glaring down at Aaron. "Child! I almost fell over your creature in a ball! Next time I shall kill it!" Aaron walked over and took the turtle and the ball from Herbasis, and put it gently on the ground. Despite the Atlantean's anger, Aaron was completely unfased. "know how to open drawers?"

"I burned it, I hit it, I kicked it, I pulled, an' I stabbed it. It won't open." Aaron's color faded a bit, as he stepped away from Herbasis, thinking he was talking about the matches in his other pocket. "nothin'"

He glanced up, seeing the two, and stepped out of the elevator. "The hell's goin' on? ******** two doin'?"

As he moved he grabbed the matches out of his pocket and stuck them in his mouth, thinking that somehow this ploy would be more successful than leaving them in his pocket if he happened to get caught.
