Cordain watched her for a bit then looked at his food before he sat back and smiled at her, "I was wondering Papina...sometime in the near future...would you like to go out on a date together, just you and me?"

It was a good thing Papina wasn't eatting at that moment - she would have choked. As it was, her head shot up as she gave a high pitched squeak of surprise. Her... and him... on a date? Her on a date at all? "Uhhh..." She stalled. What would her mother say? What should she say? She blinked once before finally blurting out, "Erm... yes?" It was more a question than an answer, but her brain wasn't working quite right at the moment either...

What was it about Cordain that made her feel and act like an idiot, anyways?

Cordain nodded his head and smiled warmly at Papina, "How about...you take some time to think about it or talk it over with your mother when I'm not having such an obviously direct influence upon you?" he flicked a bit of drying white hair out of his face.

She nodded mutely and quivered with suppressed emotion when Cordain flicked some of his white hair out of his dark face. How could such a simple thing turn her into jelly? Unfair! She blushed and gripped the towel tighter around her as she stood quickly and awkwardly, almost falling over before she got her balance and stood up straight, quivering like a doe about to run. Everything above the towel was a deep crimson; quite a feat considering her normal skin tones. "Ummm, errrr..." she started, trying to figure out how to extract herself from this. And she needed her own clothes back too... Her mind went blank as she tried to remember where her own clothes were.

How does one manage to flee politely? Was it even possible?

Oh dear...

Cordain watched her, "Your clothing was back in the arboretum, It would probably be best to call it a day now since...I do have some clients showing up in an hour and need to make sure I'm properly presentable..." he stood, crossed the distance between them and gently took one of Papina's hands, kissing the back of it.

"It was a great pleasure to have your company this afternoon Papina, and I look forward, greatly so, to the next time we are together." he waved as he moved for a hallway that went down towards where Halcyon had gone. In fact Hal smiled and waved to Papina as he made his way out of the Hallway, looking dry and dressed up.

Papina just stood there for a moment, blinkly stupidly as she looked at the hand that Cordain had kissed. It hadn't moved from where he had left it. Slowly, she brought the hand up to her lips and gently kissed the same spot before holding it with her other hand, still stunned. She stood there for several minutes, slowly going through the reaction to Cordain's farewell before she started to moved towards the arboretum where Cordain said her clothes where at the moment. She was quite dazed, and not fully looking where she was going, thinking more of Cordain then where she was walking.

Cordain made his way into a bathroom and was soon taking a shower, getting himself all cleaned up and ready for his guests that were to be arriving, the second one he had today first being just before Papina arrived.

Halcyon smiled as he cleared his throat, "Ah! Papina, I think you passed your clothes, it's that bundle there isn't it?"
PostPosted: Thu Jun 07, 2007 5:42 pm

Eh? Papina paused mid-step for a moment before slowly turning to look, her head down to keep Halcyon from seeing how red her face was. "Ah, erm... yeah... It is..." She quickly scooped the bundle up before pausing again. "Um... Do you know where I can take this wet stuff off, dry off, and get dressed?" Generally not something you'd want to ask a boy who was old enough to be interested in girls, but she really didn't have anyone else to ask, and was slightly afraid yet curious of the answer Cordain would have given her if he was here.

Halcyon seemed the way to go until she could get her mind cleared. Yupyup.

Halcyon looked up, "You could use my room, the door locks from the inside, not that it would stop Cordain if he wanted in...or me...He's already taught me how to pick a lock." he motions for Papina to follow.

He led her down the hall, past a small workout room and the bathroom where the shower could be heard running. To his room, which was simple, bed, dresser, computer desk & computer, and a bookshelf filled with books that looked like they were older than anyone's great grand parents.

"Here you go." he moved out of the way so Papina could go in before making his way back down the hallway.

Papina blinked before half-heartedly complaining, "Then what's the point of the lock?" before she stepped into the room and looked around. Whoa... She waited for Halcyon to start moving down the hall before she quietly closed the door, paused, and locked the door. She took a moment to look at herself. Ugh. She quickly stripped all the wet clothing off before using the towel to briskly rub herself dry. She then sorted her clothes out from their bundle, brushing stray leaves off before getting dressed. Now she was nice and dry. She paused for a moment, trying to figure out what to do before she finally wrapped the wet clothes in the towel and picked the bundle up. She then unlocked the door and stepped out into the hall before she had to stop, unsure where to go.

Cordain was coming out of the bathroom when Papina left the room, he only had a towel wrapped around the waist. He took a glance at Papina's bundle and took it from her, "Door is that way." he pointed down the hall and smiled at her, "I'll take these to the laundry chute. About the date, what I meant precisely is I would like to invite your family out to dinner."

WhoWhatWhereWhyHow- "Huh?" Papina stared stupidly at Cordain... and it wasn't exactly his face she was staring at...

Actually... it was about the only place she wasn't looking at, overall...

Cordain shifted and turned to face er, holding his towel as the temporary knot holding it on was starting to slip apart, "I said Papina, I would like to invite your family to dinner." he smiled at her warmly, yea, that was part of his hip starting to show as the towel fell apart.

Papina's eyes were driven to look at that new area and were glued there. She felt all the air exit her lungs as found herself unable to think, unable to move...

... Unable to breathe...

...
...
...

"..."
A small corner of her mind sighed, and attempted to jump-start the whole system. Family... Dinner... ... Um... Deep breath... Her lungs expanded and air came rushing in, lessening the dizzy feeling. Now say yes. "... S... u... r... e..." Good. Now move. Nothing. Oh dear... Another internal sigh. MOVE! She twitched. Will you quit staring at least?! Her head turned slightly to one side, but her eyes were riveted. Nope, not moving. Not again...

((Now would be a very good time for Halcyon to show up and literally drag Papina away until she calms down and gets a hold of herself... ;>> At least until Cordain finishes getting dressed...))

As if on cue, Halcyon grabbed Papina about the waste and dragged her away, "...I'm guessing you would be interested in this." he hands Papina a calendar for that year, of a variety of male models. He flipped it open to july, which was Cordain, on a beach in a pair of trunks. He was lounging in the sand.

Cordain moved off to his bedroom to change, honestly he would have had no problem if the towel dropped, but Papina might have had a heart attack. He had no shame, and was perfectly fine with his body.
