*sighs* I really hate myself right now....

Okay. No. This is going too far. I don't care if this was a joke, an attempt to get attention, or even if you're seriously considering any self-inflicted death, pain or other forms of suffering. This is what they all meant by "maturity" and "need[ing] to grow up."

You have no idea how many times I've actually wanted to kill myself. The farthest I went was sticking my head out a bit farther than I should have from the 15th floor and writing a good lengthy letter dictating what to do with my corpse. The only reason I didn't go through with it was how horrible it would be of me to put that on my sister, my parents, even my homophobic relatives. That's beside the point.

It doesn't solve a damn thing and just makes it worse for everyone around you. It isn't something to be thrown about lightly either, as if it's a perfectly logical thing to do. Trivializing this sort of thing is something the world needs less of.

I apologize if this just worsens your current emotional state, but I can't let that one go.

*hugs* this group could start a "inflicted self damage" club couldn't it?

we'd have buttons but most of us aren't allowed to play with sharp objects. and, keithing, i'm sorry if that upset you but it's my natural defense to make a joke. to take something that's painfull and been ripping at my psyche for years and make light of it. either to save myself sanity or to convince those around me that, really, i'm fine.

way too deep and off topic now.

hey, everyone!! remember that time Bush was an idiot?...wait, it just happened again!

I feel the scars on EJ's wrists. I think it's one of the few things that makes me truly afraid.

Not cutting for me ever. Convulsing from too much oxygen, pulling at my hair and wondering how fast I could fall was a late-night festivity of choice. I was very uncreative with technique unlike the guy who wanted to commit suicide by licking an electrical outlet. The worst part is when it dawns on you that if the whole thing goes AWOL, you could be screwed for life, even if it is just reminders of what you've done in scars and other permanent injuries.

That kind of joke I don't mind, it's when it becomes little more than comment for little other than trying to attract attention.

You mean he stopped at some point? The whole deal of trying to make a draft-like policy is going to kick him in the a**. Nearly every time the children are forced to war, die or watch their friends die, people are never the same. Shell-shock, abusive behaviour, stress disorders, maniac depression, and the list goes on. It's also usually this time that people manage to pull their heads out of the sand/their asses and realize that the person causing this isn't the enemy, but their leader.

My Friend Rin said she cried when bush won. Later that day, she was leader of a protest for gay marriage, she said she kissed another girl for the camera to get her point across, I'm proud of her. She's my lovely little rebel leader... it's great. The only person that I have talked to in support of Bush recently has been my dad, everyone else either doesn't care or is outraged, like myself.

It's funny in a strange way that Alberta got so worked up about it. That's evidence enough that what happens south of the 49th does affect us very deeply. Thankfully I haven't met a ex-patriot Republican or Bush supporter here yet. We live in a city that depends on American trade relations so it probably would influence some people here I suppose.

We have enough American citizens to have chapters of both the Democrats and Republicans Abroad.

hmmm...didn't think my "comments" would have such a profound affect on you all. I do apologize for my behavior of late. I'm not very happy with Bush being re-elected, I'm not very happy with people that support anti-gay rights...It just seems things are totally hopeless right now. I wish I could do something to change it all, change it so Kerry was president...or Nader even... crying
