Xallen squinted back at Tadashi. It was odd that Tadashi could simply look at him and tell what the marbles did, especially because he never gave Tadashi a chance to take a good luck at Alan's. Apparently there was some more information that he didn't know about. So, he asked, "Are we able to tell what kinds of marbles other people have? And speaking of which, could you show me a document or briefly summarize all of the known marble types? While you're at it, how about all the information you have in marbles in general, including both location and type? You guys are the ones with all the knowledge, right? How about sharing some?"

Anji nodded as Alm exited the room, giving an overexagerrated bow to the other people in the room before stepping out after Alm, heading off towards the robotics district...

"Well, field testing wouldn't be bad," Tadashi said. "There's plenty of other folks who got a hold onto marbles without AIS, used 'em, and went nuts. We could try to capture some of them perhaps? Even capturing their marbles would be useful, because we might discover new forms."

"As for what do I know? It's my field of study," Tadashi said. "Seeing the truth of things--or part of the truth of things. Kinda... scrying, would be a good word, I suppose. I've encountered six types of marbles: Attacker, Defender, Dasher, Healer, Duelist, and Stalwart, some with wildly different effects from the others.

"I don't think you could tell what another person has, but you could at least see that they have one, I think. In order to tell what a marble actually does, you'd have to physically touch it, I think. Now, here's a neat thing about AIS: it lets you take your old marble out and put a new one in if you find, say, a better one. Just make sure you don't go too long without a marble, or you'll get sick.

"Let's see... did I cover all of your questions?"

"Yeah, what does mine do?" Aiolos took out his greenish white marble and held it out in front of Tadashi.

"Just wanna know."

"Recharge," Tadashi said. "It let's you transfer your energy-life-luck-balancing-energy stuff to a friend. There isn't any obvious physical effect, but this energy affects our every success and defeat, and in times of stress, it can be depleted very quickly."

"Why don't you elaborate on the area a little bit, we need every detail possibe if we want to be succesful with this mission."

((Simply for OOC clarification, when it says my marble is "red on white," the red is the outer layer and white is the inner?))

Xallen ran his hand nervously against his stomach. This sounded way too good to be true...and easy too. What were these people really up to? It'd be hard to tell at this rate. "Get more, eh? That's probably easier said than done, since we don't know where the hell any of them are. You wouldn't happen to know of any possible leads, would ya?"

"What?" Aiolos looked confused for a moment, not to sound stupid he quickly added in, "Nevermind, I get it."

He'll figure it out along the way.

So this is why they were all here, to get more marbles. Well, that had to be easy, Aiolos just found his by chance, how hard can it be to search all of Gaia? Especially with the people holding it going all psycho on one another.

((bryces--that is correct.))

"The area? You mean Durem?" Tadashi quirked an eyebrow. "Hm... would you like a map?"

"I couldn't really say exactly where you'll find them," he said to Xallen. "Well, like I said, there are all the loonies out there who have marbles and couldn't keep their cool. Heck, taking them out would be a service.

"But now that you mention it, there's a phenomena that I'm more interested in: I've noticed occasionally a marble won't be claimed by anyone, but rather, will alter the reality around it. Strange... situations... manifest around it. It's most bizarre. If you notice anything exceptionally strange or out of the ordinary, then that's a good place to look."

Xallen sighed. "I suppose that's a start. Thanks. Oh, and all the maps you have would be greatly beneficial...though since we're in Aekea, we'd like a map of that most. But Barton, Gambino, Durem, World Map, everything you've got."

He glanced at Aiolos while he supposed Tadashi would be getting those maps for them. "Hey...are you gonna tag along with us? With Alan knocked out, we could probably do worse than sticking together..."

Aiolos shrugged, "Why not? It's ethier that or I'm stuck in a waiting room full of metal chairs."

"Besides." He said, pointing to Alan and Zen, "I've worked with these guys before, it'd be like the fun old times."

Returning from his office, he tossed them a booklet containing an overmap of Gaia, along with a few local city maps.

((Ugh. That's what I get for pulling an all nighter.))

((XD No worries man. By the way, which GM ARE you, if you don't mind me asking?))

"Excellent," Xallen said. "I'm Xallen," and offered his hand for Aiolos to shake. "In times like these, it's probably best for us to stick together, especially with dangerous folk around." Meanwhile, while his mouth took care of social formalities, the larger part of his brain was focused on determining the best course of action. If this Institute was able to give them information somehow, it'd be most logical to stay as close to the center of the city as they could.

Xallen looked around for a pad of paper. Finding a blank sheet, he pulled a pen from his pocket and scribbled his cell phone number. Xallen then tossed the pad of paper to Tadashi and caught the maps instead. "Thanks for the help. I'd appreciate it if you called that number if you found something else out." He turned to head out of the Institute. "Gentlemen, let's go. Zen, if you could drag our good friend along." On a hunch, Xallen headed to the Construction Yard.

"Hm." Tadashi snatched up the phone number and tossed it onto a pile of papers that was growing on his desk.

Had he forgotten to mention the telepathic properties of the AIS system? Silly him. Not only could Tadashi keep tabs on them in order to gather data, but he could send them messages through the AIS. Nothing too invasive--mainly it meant he could see what they saw, and nothing more.

((I'm teh paj'ster. Only GM that was on from 12pm until 3 or 4pm. 3nodding ))

"Yeah I got 'em." Zen grabbed Alan up with his left hand and pulled him over his shoulder in a resting position which was less tedious to Zen. He followed behind Xallen and Aiolos to the construction yard.
