Eileen nodded once, then suddenly seemed to pale and slump. "....iiiyah...what's going on...?" She covered her eyes with her other arm as the mark on her finger flared brighter and brighter, finally blinding in intensity. The green marble which Eileen had set there could barely be seen. Then the light abruptly vanished, and the marble was gone.

Eileen staggered once, then sat down heavily. "....aaah...nani...?" She stood back up again, carefully. She was a bit wobbly, but she could walk too.

As Eileen went, Ikari went. He dropped down to his knees, gritting his teeth ahis his arm grasped at his shoulder, where his tatto was, and the marble. It burned, it burned so bad... and he felt so weak.

He imagined as though he would never move again. He struggled up to his feet weakly, and his arms just hung dead, his body slumped forward. So tired, so weak.

A fairly flagrant, unexpected curse came from him, muttered under his breath as he stumbled towards the wall, leaning against it heavily.

A single man approached, his head buried in a map. "Hm... hm... no, this doesn't seem right..."

Hearing the sound of people stumbling, he looked up. "Hm? You folks all right?"

Lyendi sat on the ground still clenching the area of her chest that had the mark and where that red and white marble had been placed was no more after the last blinding flash of light. As the three tried to regain strength, Lyendi looked up to see a man walking up to them, immersed in a large piece of paper that he held in front of him.

Eileen nodded a little, but looked not quite as good as she indicated she was. "...just... a little dizzy."

He remained quiet, not wanting to admit weakness before the gaijin. He forced himself to stand up straight, no longer leaning on the wall as he looked over towards this stranger.

"You might want to flee," he warned the man. Obvious reasons. They were standing over a gutted soldier. Dead bodies all around. Oh, not to mention Tweak's Go-Cart of DOOM path.

"I ain't gonna flea," the man said, shaking his head. On closer inspection, he was an unshaven mess, his clothing ruffled and torn and a large pack on his back. "I'm a guide. I can give you guidance, if you'd like."

Eileen couldn't help but be curious at this point. Especially since she was a native Gaian. "...ano...a guide?"

"Sure, I'm a guide." Looking around at them, he tsked his tongue. "Want a map?"

"...ano....a map to what?" She was clearly very puzzled.

((Sorry for post order and brevity... rushing this, gotta get somewhere soonish sweatdrop ))

((This is non-combat, so it doesn't matter so much. wink You may want to have someone steer the team if at least one of you is on.

Also, you guys did pick up an extra accessory, did you not? You may instinctively know how to equip a new accessory.))

"Gaia," he said, looking at her like she was crazy. "Here, this's helped me out in my direst moments."

What he held it was indeed a map. It didn't feature any of the cities, just an overview of the world. "It's almost kinda meditative. By looking past the surface of this map, I've seen deep into the answers of my problems."

Eileen could only see the map. She sweatdropped. "Ano..." she looked to Ikari. "Is this something that would help you...? I have my Gaia Gold card..."

"Oh, you don't have to pay me for it," the man said, holding the map closer to her. "All you need to do is look beyond the surface. Please, take it."

What was with this woman? If they were in as much trouble as he thought, they'd need the help of anything they could get. And he was offering the help of his map.

"...ano, are you sure you don't want anything for it?" She peered at the map. Eileen confusedly took it, and brought it closer. Well... at any rate, the surface was being well scrutinized. She didn't seem to get the "look beyond" part though.

((Lyendi's out for now. She's IMing me to tell me she's very very sick.))

Map... map... These gaijin might know the lay of the land, but Ikari had barely managed to find the Cube of Justice to start with, and only with directions for several recruitment posters and helpful citizens.

His hands reached out for the map, taking a hold of it's upper edge, the one closest to him, weakly, giving a little tug so he could take it and look into this Map.

Knowing the lay of the land could only help.
