Its good people are posting, but everyone needs to post ideas for the storylines. Armageddon, you are coming up with some good ideas, but we need help with storyline. The idea is to take a little bit from everyones idea's and use that to make the storline. That way people wont get bored 2 weeks into it.

On the note of a point system, it will cause a number of problems mostly control problems. Lets be truthful 98% of everyone wants to be a Jedi or Sith, and if you make a point system to rank up, many people will care nothing for the storyline of the RP or their own character storyline and just do whatever it takes to get the points and become the most powerful. Most people sadly only want to be the "luke" of the Jedi or the "vader" of the sith.

With only Jedi knights or masters able to see who is force sencitive it allows more control. That way people who clearly only want to be a jedi and be the top jedi master wont even be jedi. It was because we let anyone who wanted to be a jedi or sith be one that caused the first RP to fall. This is a safty net. That also deals with the second question, only those who are good Rpers and not trying to control the storyline will be able to be Jedi or sith.

I agree we will need another force chart to show who gets what force powers. And make the rules very clear so that everyone understands. Also a current storline topic would be nice, something to tell current and new members where the storyline is at all times.

I agree with Guilyn on this one having a points system will cause people to just post to get the points, like she said people only want to be jedi. As for the storyline i quite liked the SotoR idea Guilyn had. had a solid base and gave people the choice of "good and bad". Also had the jedi and sith there and you want you could easily insert the ships and spacebattles into the story.

I think everything need refining but i dont think im a good enough RP'er to decide anything. This is my first RP forum and i like it. I liked the origanal ground based idea more than this one but what can you do about it lol go with the flow people want jedi and sith, spacebattles, Bounty Hunters etc with out the they dont think its Star Wars.

I know this has not helped in the slightest but i thought i should post seeing its been awhile since my last.

Here a storyline idea. In a rp style....

"Project Genesis"
pro-logue: "Star Wars.... Appropiate. Through the millenias, we have fought each other, and others. Trillions spent on war, countless deaths among our brethren have passed before our eyes, some stand here today saying it was for land, religion, economical gain, on and on. Great Senate let us not deny the harsh truths that we face, it is not these reasons we go to war it is this mythical Force that has led us to bloodshed. The jedi and sith have battle for centuries, bringing us with them to face hell. It is their antics that we sit divided through the galaxy. Thier insatiable power to control and "maintain" It is my belief that if we destroy this order, this group that we may finnaly have peace among us. Today Ladies and gentlemen, i bring you Project Genesis, a device capable of crippling this Force from on that will leave them as normal as you nad me. By targeting thier Midochlorian, that they claim allows them to use the force, we destroy it. All i need is a quorem and peace is in our grasp"

story:1 hour 27 minutes 34 seconds later Project Genesis was voted ok unanimously . Within 48 Hours the Device launched its virus that targeted over 2,000 people with high midochlorian count. The Jedi, Sith and all other force users, that were affected, died. The midocholrian turn out to be a life source just as important as blood was. Unknowlingly 2% of the force users were immune to the Virus. Learning the plot the Senate had launched, all factions that survived, begin thier plot for revenge, while the senate realizing thier mistake of the immune, began forming an army to destroy the last remenants of the forc users.

The remaining 2% that were aware of thier force powers, Jedi, Sith, Dark Jedi, Gray Jedi, and others, now search for any other remaining possible force users to retaliate against thid attack. Each having thier own agenda, the once thought peaceful move has now turned into full scale war!

Factions:
Jedi: Crippled to devastating numbers, the Jedi had the largest number of casualities to any other faction. Though most of the survivors still remain intact, several had been overcome by rage, some say deeper and even darker than the darkside. The Jedi's main goal is to rebuild, protect thier legacy and attempt to find who and why this plan was created.

Dark Jedi Further darkening thoer outlook upon the Senate, The dark jedi begin to build an army hell bent on the death of every Senate member, Several Dark Jedi fall astray and become rogues making thier own attacks at the senate.

Sith: Already a fraction of the other factions, the sith's numbers can be counted on one hand. Smarter then thier brother faction, the Sith begin to hatch a plan to snuff out the remaining factions, waiting for each other and the senate to take each other out the Sith slowly rebuild thier force in darkness. A plan also begins to hatch to turn Project Genesis against its makers.

Gray Jedi: Like the Sith the Gray jedi's numbers are very small, unbound from the strict code of the Jedi, The Gray order, comes to the agreement those responsible must pay for thier actiins, thus they also begin to build an army to seek out the murderers and deliver justice.

The Senate: Upon witnessing the devastation it wasnt long after the attacks began and the senate realized the immunity issue, voting once mor ethough more reluctantly, an army begins to mass to destroy what Project Genesis started.

Several other outlying factions also see this as an oppurtunity for power, scrambling together, it seems this war is the end of all wars.

I just gave all my input to seffi blaugh . But here I guess i'll post what i think about it.

I like the idea of something attacking the jedi, or just the idea of the jedi being on the run. But myelf a wepon that only target jedi is...... well to me a little over the edge. Becuase then there would be no point to be a jedi or a sith when the republic or who ever has it can simply flip a switch and kills us all. Again like i said the idea of the Jedi being under attack though is a good idea.

whydont we have like forum shops and credits for our characters so we can have like a weapon shop, cantina, temple and a senate, just sayin'

Geh. It's been a while since I was last here. Anyways, I don't really have any input over the storyline, but I have noticed something that has eventually ruined a lot of roleplays. I agree with the idea of freedom of characters, but there has to be an enforcement of the storyline rather than just an amibguous base that people follow vaguely and run off and do their thing, which results in chaos, confusion, and boredom. The roleplay that I'm doing now, I inform those that are in it ahead of time of sort of what I'm going to do without giving away the story, and I explain parts of it that seem a bit confusing. Iit's been running smoothly with no complaints. Just a suggestion based on my success, especially since the totally free roleplays that I've done in the past have failed due to confusion.

Nah, it's more like KOTOR. There's a set storyline one has to follow, such as what worlds to go to and they have to follow the plot, but they can create whatever NPC's they want and they can say or do anything that's within those guidelines. It's freer that KOTOR, actually, since they can come up with their own responses. And I always keep everyone informed. :3
