They're too fast, Gash. That's really the only reason. All the cards you mentioned would have been destroyed by the following:
Heavy Storm (banned?) Harpies Feather Duster (banned) Mystical Space Typhoon x 3 Chaos Emperor Dragon (banned) Breaker the Magical Warrior
Or negated by Jinzo or Imperial Order (thankfully, not anymore).
Keep in mind that a deck full of 1900 monsters can kill you in 5 hits, and that isn't even counting Yata.

uh huh, but think about it this way, if alot of pple have those smash em up decks, and one decides to put in gravity bind, then EVERYONE will put in gravity bind too cause they know it kills everyones decks cause how many ppl put in alot of level 3 or lower monsters ... plus Reis does have a point, it takes one card to put down a 1900 monster (or even a GAF or giant orc, both over 2000 atk...) a deck full of those guys, your opponent can pretty much destroy you before you able to stall him in anyway...
FYI, here is a list of banned cards i found, mind u its not gonna be official till october 1st
Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End Dark Hole Delinquent Duo Graceful Charity Harpie's Feather Duster Imperial Order Mirror Force Monster Reborn Raigeki Sangan United We Stand Witch of the Black Forest Yata-Garasu

Unless you count my spirit king. The only way you get rid of him, is if you use a creature that destroys by getting played.

I know that Ice and Wind elementa are more likely to 'give up and move on' than Shade and Earth, Gash, but you know from experience with me that I am also stubborn.
Tactically, the reason why the Gravity Bind does not work is...
I try to attack with a 1900 monster. You use Gravity Bind. I cannot attack. You cannot get rid of my monster either. I put down some more of them until I draw one of my many Trap destroying cards, or Jinzo. I then play Raigeki if I have it. If not, attack with Jinzo, etc, until all your creatures are gone. Then my previously summoned army of 1900 creatures takes a gigantic chunk out of your life points. The end.
Come on. Give me a little more credit than that. I'm not the type to give up. You remember our great duel where you were beating me with your 2500/5500 Labyrinth Wall. I didn't give up then, did I? But you gotta know when to walk away. YGO caused me to walk away when they made Final Attack Orders and Skill Drain.

That was upsetting, but then again they have to pay like 1000 for skill drain per turn.

oku got some cred for ice wind. reis i see what ya mean but like im not gonna use gravity bind alone or any other stop card for that matter. buring life points is a great way remember the Fire princess, Cure Mermaid, Grav bind, solenm wishes combo i did once with my burn deck against u, that was then now that Dice jar, reflect bounder, magic clynder are available i dare any beat down deck to attack. plus if ya got Fairy box the stongest of monsters become nothing. anyway anything has weakness or loop hole, ya just gotta find it.

Jinzo.
Jinzo can be searched for with the Witch of the Black Forest.
Magic Cylinder is meaningless then... Fairy Box is meaningless then... Gravity Bind is meaningless then.
It happens.

Sage Ciara if gravity bind is on the feild, why not break out those level 3- monsters and throw on tons of equip cards.....smashy smashy? yes indeed, having a full field with soul eater on a 1000 atk lvl 3 monster, sacrifice the other 4 each for a 1000 power up, and bang you got 5000 lvl 3 atk monster. lol that leaves the ultimate blue eyes and god cards quaking in fear

I am not saying it is impossible. It's just that their way is so much easier than the way that counters it, that it really isn't that helpful to try, most of the time.
I guess I can show you what I mean sometime when we happen to be online together.
In the meantime, DM rulz!
