*The two angels had traced a small band of dark demons through the forest after encountering them attacking a small human child. The pursuit had been a close one, until crossing the gravesite the demons simply disappeared. No traces of magic saying that they teleported away, but then there was no sign of their auras or physical existance in the area either. One of the angels remained in a high circle to keep a watch over the area while the other went back to report on the situation.*

*A short time after his companion left, the remaining angel caught sight of one of the dark demons emerging out of seemingly nowhere. He kept his circles high for a while, waiting to see if the others were going to come out as well, but then decided to go in and try to take this one himself quickly. It would be very advantageous if he could bring this one in to see what it was that made it able to disappear.*

*He decided on a quick dive, cutting strait for the center of the demon with his blade and coming to a quick halt not far off. A perfect position to either land and turn on the demon to finish things should he hit or take back off into the air to reasses attack options. Much to his enjoyment, he struck dead center, cleaving strait through the chest and coming to a halt on ground, turning quickly back to face his kill with a smile on his face. That smile quickly disappeared as a black, clawed hand dug strait into his chest and grabbed hold of his heart, squezzing with the feel of cold steel. Beyond the creature now killing him, the form of an identical demon stood with wisps of black collecting back into its chest where the angels sword cut through it.*

*Torret smiled as he drained the life energy out of the angel, feeling the power flow into him. He stopped himself from taking the last of the energy though, leaving just the bare minimum amount of life in him to sustain a continued existance. Instead of draining him further, Torret started to replace the energy he had taken from the angel with an energy he took from a human earlier. Only, he had spent the entirety of the day corrupting that energy with his own. Much to his disapointment, the angels core existance seemed to reject this dark energy almost imediatly and the body itself started to decay away. With a frown on his face, Torret took back to the shadows, leaving the destroyed husk of a dead angel laying in the clearing.*
